"Surprise!!!"

Everyone shouted. Cookie looked to her father with a bright smile.

"It's everyone from the planet Earth"

"That's right. They are here to help me celebrate"

Cookie slight put her ears down.

"Are you going to have Bulla another party?"

She asked sadly. Lord Beerus chuckled as he nuzzle her on the side of her cheek.

"No, this party is for you"

"Really?"

She asked with her ears up.

"Of course, this is your welcoming home party"

Cookie looked to her father with a smile as she kissed him on the cheek.

"I love you"

She said quietly. Lord Beerus smiled proudly as he leaned closer to her.

"I love you more and I really am sorry for the way I treated you, can you forgive me?"

He asked as he gave her a kiss on the cheek. Cookie smiled at him with a nod as Lord Beerus set her down as she ran to Goten and embraced him in a hug.

"You're here!"

"Of course I'm here, you left without saying goodbye. Was there a problem?"

He asked. Cookie shook her head.

"It's all better now"

"Here, I got this for you"

He said handing her a wrap present.

"What is it?"

"Open it"

Cookie happily open the gift to find a black scarf.

"Do you like it?"

"It's beautiful"

"My mom did the sewing"

"I love it, thank you Goten"

The party continued but Cookie mostly spend her time with Goten. Lord Beerus was sipping his beverage as he remain looking at his daughter and the half Saiyan with suspicion.

"Are they together?"

He asked to Whis. Whis looked to the children and smiled.

"Well they do like each other"

"I hope it doesn't become a problem later"

"When the time comes, I'm sure they will find a solution"

He said not bothered by the children's interest in each other. Cookie and Goten were happily laying down on the grass watching the sky together.

"Cookie, why don't you take off the glasses?"

"It's for everyone's protection"

She answered. A moment of silence past until Goten sat up and looked to Cookie.

"Can I see your eyes?"

"It's not a good idea"

"Why not?"

Cookie sat up to look at him.

"Because Goten it's a curse"

"I don't think you're a curse"

Cookie stood up slightly annoyed.

"It's not about what you think, it's about what I know and I don't want you to get hurt just because your curious"

"But I won't get hurt, I promise"

He said as he stood up to face her.

"Goten please.... don't make me beg"

"Come on Cookie, what's the worse thing that can happen?"

Cookie looked to him with a slight glare.

"You saw what happened to those two bullies, I don't want the same thing to happen to you"

"But you can control it"

"No I can't"

"Yes you can, I know you can"

"Goten..."

"Just a small glimpse"

"I said no! Don't ask me ever again. If your my friend like you say you are then respect the fact that their are some things I don't want to share!"

She said angrily. Goten sadly looked to the ground.

"You're right. I'm sorry"

He said sincerely. Cookie let out a sigh as she brushed the anger away but quickly gasp as the shades were taken away from her while she was distracted. She quickly covered her eyes.

"GOTEN!!"

She yelled angrily.

"Now you have no choice but to look"

He said with a laugh. Cookie growled.

"It's your funeral"

She said coldly as she looked to him. Goten remained smiling at her and tilt his head to her.

"You see it's not that bad"

Cookie frown in confusion and surprise to not see him killing himself.

"What?"

She asked shock. Not too far away, Lord Beerus let out a yawn and a stretch as he looked to his daughter and froze as his eyes open wide to see her without her shades. He quickly ran up to her and covered her eyes.

"Cookie, what are you..."

"Daddy it's not affecting him"

Cookie said as she moved away from him and continue to look to Goten who stood smiling at her. Whis made his way to them.

"What's going on?"

"I-its not affecting the half saiyan kid"

Lord Beerus said stunned. Whis was surprise at the information and looked to Cookie who looked back at him and surprisingly nothing happened to him.

"You should try my Lord, it didn't affect me"

Lord Beerus swallow the lump in his throat and let out a slight growl.

"If something happens to me Whis, do a do-over"

He said as let out a shakey breathe and looked to his daughter's eyes and surprisingly nothing happen again.

"Impossible"

He said as bend down to her level gently rub the top of her head.

"Maybe it doesn't affect Gods, Angels and Saiyans"

Whis suggested.

"Does this mean I can take the glasses off now?"

Cookie asked excitedly. Lord Beerus slightly frown as he looked to his guests.

"Unfortunately not, you could still affect the humans and we have a couple of humans here. So it will have to stay on"

Cookie nodded in agreement as she looked to Goten as he handed her back her shades.

"How did you know it wasn't going to affect you?"

She asked curiously.

"I didn't"

"What?"

"I just really wanted to see the eyes of the girl I like"

Cookie blushed brightly causing Lord Beerus to growl.

"Watch it kid, I am standing right here in front of you"

He said warningly. Cookie giggle at her father.

"On another note, Cookie come it's time to blow out your candles but put your shades back on because their are some humans here"

Whis said as Cookie placed them back on. They followed behind him but Lord Beerus immediately stop to look back to Cookie.

"You can't cause a disaster by blowing your candles right?"

He asked. Cookie thought for a moment and then shrugged.

"I don't know, I never blew out candles before"

She said.

"Let's be on the safe side and let me blow them out for you"

He said causing her to giggle.
