Beep!
Yamaguchi opened his phone and a bunch of notifications came all at once.
Morning Tadashi, just ate breakfast! Gonna go for a jog with my demon twin. - 5:00 AM
I bet you're still asleep right? I told you not to stay up too late 🙄 - 5:02 AM
Better eat a hearty meal before practice. And no, fries are not a substitute for breakfast. - 5:03 AM
Sorry, I sound like a mom. 🤣🤣🤣 - 5: 05AM
More like a husband. Yamaguchi thought to himself
May not be able to text back later for a while, I need to rest more. I can't feel my legs... - 6: 00 AM
It's 9:00 AM, and Osamu's account seems to be online now. Tadashi contemplates whether to text back or not. If he does text back, what will he say? A normal "Good morning" sounds a little dull and may make Osamu feel like he doesn't care about him. So he did the only appropriate thing to do.
Call him.
"SAMU! YOU'RE BOYFRIEND IS CALLING!" Atsumu shouted when he noticed his brother's phone ringing. Osamu runs from his room, stumbling a little as he grabbed his phone to answer it as fast as he can. He even knocked his brother's burger on the floor. "YOU UGLY BITCH! MY BURGER!" Atsumu cried for the burger's fate.
"SHUT UP!" Osamu yelled at his twin before answering the call and walked away. "Tadashi, what's up?" His tone immediately shifted to being gentle and sweet.
"I swear to God you're the worst simp ever," Atsumu said trying to clean up the mess. He can't help but tear a little seeing the cruelty of this world in full display. That and he really didn't want to go out buy another since his legs hurt from running too much. "Curse me for being too competitive!"
Suddenly, as Osamu talked with Tadashi, the gray-haired boy handed Atsumu his own burger that he hasn't touched yet. "No way, so they were actually in the Farm for harvesting kids, not an orphanage? That does sound like a good show!" Osamu turned to Atsumu, mouthing the words "Sorry" before continuing to talk with the freckled boy. "Sorry for the pause Tadashi, have to give my brother my burger. I know I know, I said sorry already."
"The heck was that?" Atsumu just stared at him twice before taking a bite of the burger. It looks like being a simp has its benefits.

Osamu and Yamaguchi talked like the world were on pause. Their topics vary from anime, movies, comic books, food, alien conspiracy theories, basically anything but volleyball or sports.
"And that's why I stay away from public toilets." Osamu continued.
Yamaguchi can feel his stomach hurt a little from all the laughing. "Oh my God! That poor Janitor!"
Suddenly Osamu's phone began ringing. An alarm was set to 11: 00 AM. As much as he wants to talk more he really needed to prepare for his job interview this afternoon. Good thing he set his alarm because when he talks with Tadashi, he forgets about the time, and being late is not a good impression on your interview. One time they talked for 5 hours straight. Would have gotten longer if their phone didn't die.
"Chat ya later Tadashi!" Osamu said as he stretches his arms out.
"Break a leg Samu-san!" Yamaguchi giggled. "I know you can do it!"
"I know, I know. I love you." Osamu froze, covering his mouth with what he just said. Yamaguchi stopped moving as well, both of them were glad the other wasn't able to see how red they are right now. "I mean, I'm glad I have you!" What the fuck how is that any better!? "Uhhh... I... meant."
"It's alright, Samu-san." Yamaguchi stuttered. His voice was softer than usual. "I'm glad to have you too.. And umm..." Osamu pressed his phone closer to his ear, waiting for him to continue. "I..love.. got to go! Call you later!" Then the call ends.
Was he gonna say I love you too!? So, it's not one-sided!? I thought that kiss was bluff!?
Osamu jumps on his bed, grabbing his pillow and screaming into it. Yamaguchi did the same. Osamu wanted to flip or do cartwheels to calm himself down but he will settle for acing the interview instead.
--------------------------------------
Yamaguchi finally went down to the others for practice. He was currently in Training Camp with his Team and Nekoma. Everyone noticed the freckled boy's cheerful demeanor, a smile that he wore throughout the rest of practice but suddenly it disappeared after a few hours. It was like his mood just shifted.
I was so happy earlier what happened!? He thought to himself. Doubts still plague his mind. His memories of him Tsukki dating for months then suddenly being rejected flashes in his head. He knows Tsukki and Osamu are different but his fear just won't disappear.

"Yow! Freckles-san!"
Yamaguchi turned around and saw Lev approaching him wearing a big smile as always. The freckled boy was sitting alone in an empty hall while the others were eating dinner. "Oinari-kun!" He greeted back smiling in direction too. It didn't last long since he was still preoccupied with the thoughts in his head.
"What's wrong?" Lev sat next to Yamaguchi. "Hey, you know I'm always here to listen to you right?" He faced him. "Well, not really since we go to separate schools that are really far away. But... metaphorically speaking and... spiritually speaking?... Maybe also...." Lev scratches the back of his head a little, looking away thinking of other ways they could be connected while far apart from each other.
As Lev rambles on, Yamaguchi can't help but laugh. "Oinari! Stop you're killing me!"
"WHAT!" Lev cried out, moving away a little. "YOU'RE NOT REALLY RIGHT!? Wait let me call 911!"
Yamaguchi grabbed the taller boy's phone, calming him down. "I'm not dying Oinari! I swear! If I die I'll tell you!" Lev let out a deep sigh, relieved about what he just said then, tilting his head a little when he thought. How can you tell me your dead if your dead?
Seeing the look on Lev's face caused the second wave of laughter. It took a moment for him to stop laughing, "I'm okay, don't worry. It's stupid Oinari, don't mind me."
Lev scoots closer to the freckled boy. "Even if it's stupid, you can tell me. I'm here for you." This felt familiar for the two. It felt like that night where they first talked and hang out with each other. For Lev, it was the same night he fell for Yamaguchi. "I'm using your words now! Gotta say I feel like a shonen hero! This is how you felt that night huh!"
A smile formed on Yamaguchi's face. The freckled boy hesitates but eventually opened up to his trusted friend. "It's just, I like someone and I think they like me back but I'm scared they might change their mind when we get together. What if suddenly, he stopped loving me because he found someone else? I want him but I'm scared to have him. I don't know what to do."
"Oh." Lev quietly says before leaning his back against the wall. There was a brief silence between the two.
"Well, tell him how you feel! Duh!" Lev cried out. "I mean, sure it'd be scary. It'd be painful to be rejected by the person you love and scarier for them to leave you but trust me." He placed his hands on the freckled boy's shoulder, looking him straight in the eyes. "Not knowing what their answer would be or not trying at all because you were too late is way worst."
Yamaguchi's eyes lit up with what he heard. The freckled boy can feel his words touch his heart as if they came from personal experience. "Thank you Oinari! That really helped!" He hugged the taller one, with Lev hugging back even tighter. "You should definitely tell the person you like them too, you know!" Yamaguchi broke away from the hug, smiling at the taller one. "I'm sure anyone would be lucky to have someone like you Oinari. I am." Lev's eyes simply widened with what he heard.
Lev turned his face away when he felt his eyes tearing up a bit. Yamaguchi already saw him crying once and he didn't want him to see him cry again. "Don't waste time! Go!" He forced a smile.
"I will! Thank you Oinari!" Yamaguchi smiled back, sprinting to his dorm.
Lev stayed there for a moment, staring at the ceiling. After taking a deep breath, he stood up and walked toward his room, sluggishly. As Lev walks by the corner, he saw Kuroo and Kenma leaning against the wall. They were listening to them talking.
"Practice what you preach Lev," Kuroo said wearing a pained expression. Lev just clenched his fist before walking ahead.
Kenma went to Lev, patting him in the back "Come on, I'll buy you some snack."
"Okay!" Lev cried out. The tears he was holding back suddenly started falling from his eyes. The taller one hugged Kenma tightly as he continues to cry harder.
For someone so big and intimidating, Lev was a kind-hearted and pretty sensitive guy. It was hard, knowing the one he liked already likes someone else but that just how it goes sometimes.
Just because you love someone, doesn't mean you'll get the love that you want in return.
I love Lev so this chapter hurts a bit... XD
Don't worry, I'll be writing an alternate story about them in the future. I'll update or post it when it's available hehe.
I also published the first parts of my new book. You can check it out on my profile. KyoYama. (Kyotani x Yamaguchi) :D

History's Strongest Disciple Fanfiction
I love the Manga and Anime so much that I wanted to put a bit of myself inside it, It might come as a stupid power fiction, but I did my best to make it at least a bit amusing and a bit more believable. The plot will go sidelines with the occurrences from the original story and do my best to not side track the story, but I have to warn that at some point the story goes highwire. This is the Story of Yashin, whom transfers schools at the same point as Miu, ending in the same school as Kenichi and ending falling in love with a certain someone. There's not much going on, but I think the start is rather good.
