"I really want to do the... Eighth one... I- IF you want to do it!" Hitoka shivered a lot because she's very nervous if she made something wrong or awkward. Shoyo counts the list from top to bottom, the eighth from all list that she mentioned was
'Have a boyfriend'
Hitoka shuts the book quickly and puts it in her bag before Shoyo could even react. Even if he wants to react he doesn't know what to react to. Hitoka covered her face with her right hand and turned back at Shoyo. She felt embarrassed and nervous that if she made him feel weird.
Shoyo hurries up and thinks to make her not feel embarrassed, maybe a cool or fun way to accept that he will be her boyfriend. He finally made up his mind, he puts his hands on her shoulders and turn her. He gave a soft smile then slide his hands to her hands with his thumb on her palm. "Hitoka, w.. will you be my... girlfriend?" The red-faced boy moved his head down and tilt it a little.
She went tense, her eyes widened and she blushed, but then she relaxed, closed her eyes, and puts a small smile in her mouth. She then holds his hands back and nodded slowly.
"Yay!" Shoyo grinned with a low and gentle voice. He smiled normally after a second, then he moved his head forward carefully to Hitoka's face like he's trying to kiss her. Hitoka's face went extra red, she closed her eyes. She cannot move back that much because he's holding her hands.
Hitoka moved her hands a little which makes Shoyo snapped out. He lets go of her hand while shivering and his eyes were wide. "I... I'm sorry... What have I done...?". With an expression of fear, he stood up and run, leaving the place and Hitoka behind sitting on the park bench.
Shoyo run straight to his bike and pedaled back to his house. He walked straight to his room and jumps to his bed, trying to forget that moment he just did. His little sister Natsu saw him stomping in the house and jumps in his bed like he has a problem. She came to him and laid her hands on his bed. "Onii-chan, what's wrong?"
Shoyo rolled over to Natsu "Nothing, just teenager problems."
Natsu thinks about how to cheer her brother up. She then runs out of Shoyo's room to grab something. After a couple of minutes, she came back with a recorder. She sits down on the floor and played Silent Night on the recorder. The song their mother always plays on the recorder when they're mad or sad when they're kids. "Thanks for cheering me up, Natsu. I'm all better now." Shoyo then lifts himself and sits in his bed.

Natsu feels happy hearing that. She then continues the song since it has 3 parts. Shoyo's thinking about how to make up for what he just did to her. He thinks that he must've made her feel uncomfortable doing those things like holding hands and hugging her. He'll try to avoid her for a little, the goal is to make a proper distance between them.
It's lunchtime at high school. Hitoka is sitting by herself on the rooftop, wondering why Shoyo didn't come there. She thinks maybe he's still afraid to talk to her because of that day. She'll try to give him some space and leave him alone for a while.
Meanwhile, Shoyo's in his class with a few of his classmates there. Knowing Hitoka might be on the rooftop, he didn't come there and eat. "Hey, are you going to eat lunch?" Asked his classmate, Tobio.
"No, I ate breakfast too much so I'm still full." Shoyo waved his hands vertically. He lied though, he actually didn't eat breakfast and he ate just a few for lunch and dinner yesterday. Tobio nods then leave him and the class. Shoyo's just spinning his pen while waiting despite his stomach growling for food.
After school, Shoyo's going to the locker area to change into his sports shoes there. He walked into the school halls with a tired expression, at the same time, Hitoka walked in the halls with the direction heading towards him. They're getting closer and closer to each step without knowing they are getting closer.
They stopped in front of the locker area as they saw each other walking at their front. The only noise there is will be the other students' footsteps and talks. There are only silence and no interactions between those two, just staring at each other's eyes with the looks of confusion.
Hitoka then dares herself to slowly walk up to him with her hands holding each other near her chest. "Shoyo...? You look tired and down, what's wrong?" Hitoka asked once she's close to him. Shoyo was going to answer, but he canceled it and looked down again.
Hitoka took a second and let him think about his answer, but he just keeps looking down. "Well, I'll be going to the gym, I'll see you the-" Hitoka was one step to the gym until Shoyo grabbed her shoulders tightly and gets closer to her. He then makes himself the same height as Hitoka by getting down a little. "I'm sorry!!" he said with a quite loud voice.
"It's okay, it's not a big mistake. I forgive you." Hitoka answered with a smile.

"Bu- but I made you feel uncomfortable, I'm not okay with that!" Shoyo lets go of his hold at stepped one step backward, but he felt a little relieved that she forgave him.
"Well, that's... pretty hard to explain. I did but I got over it sooner than people I don't trust. Anyways, let's go to the gym before the club started." Hitoka puts her hands behind her and did 2 little tiptoes.
Shoyo then runs to his locker to change his shoe quickly and then walks to the gym together with Hitoka. Slowly, their hands got closer and closer resulting in them holding hands like a couple. Also making their hearts beat faster like a Shinkansen.
Time skip, passing the club time. Shoyo invites Hitoka to come over to his house for a surprise. Knowing she'll probably do nothing if she goes home, she accepts it goes there together on Shoyo's bike. It's not cold outside since it's still 4:52 PM. That time it was around 6 PM so it would be cold.
They finally made it to his house. It looks like a traditional Japanese house but it's all enough for living. "Mom, dad, Natsu, this is my... girlfriend, Hitoka Yachi. Hitoka, this is my mom, dad, and my little sister, Natsu." Shoyo introduced Hitoka to his family. Hearing him saying she's his girlfriend makes Hitoka skipped a beat. His family is also surprised that he isn't single anymore.
"You have a girlfriend now? That's sweet! It's nice to meet you Yachi-chan." said Shoyo's mom while cooking for dinner.
"Y- yeah, nice to meet you too," Hitoka answered while following Shoyo to his room. She stands in front of his table while seeing through his family photos. There are photos of him when he's still a baby, even him with Natsu when she was just born.
Hitoka then faced Shoyo who just dropped his bag. "So where's the surprise?"
"Later, at 5:50. You should eat here while waiting." Shoyo answered with a low but fun voice. He then grabs his towel and leaves his room to take a bath.
After Shoyo leaves the room, Natsu came in. "Are you really Onii-chan's girlfriend?"
"W- well... Kinda...? Yes?" Hitoka went embarrassed so she spluttered when she talks.
"But isn't me who's supposed to be his girlfriend?" Natsu hasn't understood a thing about love or marriage, she thinks that people marry their siblings.
"That's not how it works, Natsu-chan. Having a boyfriend is not with your siblings or other relatives. It's with someone else that you liked." Hitoka sits down to explain love to Natsu.
Natsu nodded, but she thinks that doing that might be hard. She then leaves the room to continue the current thing she's doing.
Several minutes later, Shoyo finally finished taking his bath. His hair is all wet, making it all goes down. "You kinda look like an orange Kageyama with that wet hair," Hitoka commented.
"I do? (Shoyo looks at a mirror) I guess I do look like him."
Another time skip after eating Tamago Kake Gohan for dinner with Shoyo's family. He calls out Hitoka to come out of the house for the surprise. She follows him to somewhere in the mountain where he lives. Going to a small path which is leading to open space.
It has a very wonderful and clear view of the sun setting down to the horizon, making the sky's color change to orange followed by cobalt blue. It was such a blessing in the eyes.
Shoyo ran to the edge of the open space, followed by Hitoka in his side. The view of the town and sunset was extraordinary, the vibes were so chill. "This is... Very beautiful..." said Hitoka, keeping her eyes on the view.
"Indeed, they say it's what you must see before you die!" Shoyo replied, changing his view to Hitoka. Her eyes were wide and shining a lot, meaning she's very happy with what she's seeing.
He almost cannot hold himself when seeing her beautiful face. He wants to hold her cheeks or pet her head, but sometimes even more than that. Shoyo then dares to ask her something he wants to do. "Hitoka, can I?" he didn't say what he wanted because the word makes him nervous.
Hitoka took a second to process what he wants. She saw him touching his lips, and she guessed what he might want. "Yes, yes you can."
Shoyo touched her cheeks carefully and moves his head closer to her. They closed their eyes as their lips begin to collide. It stays like that for 3 seconds, then they release it. They saw each other's red-faced and giggled. The happiness they are feeling right now makes them forget the biggest pain that will come.

THIS FICTION HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED. I don't recommend reading this, since the chapters are a bit haphazard (containing new edits which don't really fit in with the latter half of the story).
