《Salty but Sweet- Kei Tsukishima X Black Fem Reader》Sweet n' sour
Advertisement
She wasn't always sweet,
She had the ability to be sour
Only to those deserving though
Only a minority felt her true power
He wasn't always salty
He too could be sweet
A certain girl brought this out of him
The one he met whilst buying a treat.
Y/n and Kei
Kei and y/n
When you put sweet and sour together
You get something tangy but the taste lingers forever
———-
You and Kei began walking through the streets of Japan
"We're going to my place." He answered bluntly.
"Your place? Damn Kei, don't you think it's a bit too early for that." You laughed, attempting to hide your awkwardness.
Why was he taking me back to his place , you thought. This makes no sense? Or does it? We've been friends for weeks but I still know next to nothing about him. Hell what does he even work as? What if he kidnaps and kills me.
"Y/n ? What's up?" Kei asked you , snapping you out of your dreaded thoughts.
"Oh nothing," you answered.
"Good because we're here..."
"Oh urm great," you said to him "can I come in?"
"Yes. But we aren't going to be here for long I'm just getting something."
A great weight was lifted off of your shoulders. One you didn't even know you had. All the previous thoughts you had before hand had dissipated into the surroundings. You took a deep breath before walking into his household.
"Hey Dino. How ya doing boy." You heard Tsukishima coo. You removed your shoes and walked into the living room, only to see a Tsuki kneeled down on the floor playing with a golden American Labrador.
You chuckled to yourself before joining them on the floor.
"Dino? Really ?" You questioned Tsukishima's questionable name choice.
"Hey , I happen to think that dinosaurs are cool. Unlike you."
"Tsukishima you really want me to smack you don't you."
"I dare you to try little one."
You huffed before turning your attention back to the dog. "He's really cute."
Tsukishima smiled at you, "yeah he tends to keep me company. Since I travel for work I don't have a lot of time on my hands."

"Oh what do you work as Kei?"
"I'm a volleyball player. But my team is back in Miyagi , so I have to travel there and back quite a lot."
"Oh really, that's kinda cool Tsukki." You said to him. He grabbed a lead for the dog, that just happened to be covered in dinosaurs, before saying.
"You ready to go on our date y/n."
He connected the lead to the dog and slipped on his shoes. You mimicked his movements, slipping on your shoes and opening the door.
The cool nighttime air hit your face. You sucked your teeth and hugged your body , rubbing your hands against yourself.
Tsukishima chuckled, "you cold little one?"
"Maybe just a little bit..." you began. Before you could finish Tsukishima wrapped his arms around you, "If you get any colder tell me and I'll lend you my jacket."
You and Tsukishima walked around the streets with the Dino , immersing in conversation with each other. You found out quite a lot about him actually, like how he's guaranteed a place on the starting line up in his second year of university. Or how he's been best friends with Yamuguchi since middle school. In return you told him a bit about yourself , like how you met Yachi in a group chat and became really good friends with her and how your dream is to become a well known chef in Japan.
"Hey I know someone who can help you with the chef thing, you know." Tsukishima said to you.
"What really? Who..." you asked, your eyes lighting up.
"I don't know him well, but his name is Miya Osamu. He has a twin on the same team as one of my friends. I'm sure if I asked Shoyo for the favour he can help you out."
"You'd do that Kei?" You smiled.
"Only for you." His embrace around you became tighter and he handed you the lead so you could walk Dino.
—————-
You and Tsukishima arrived at the park. Since it was coming close to around 11pm, it was pretty dark and isolated.

"This park is pretty." You said to Tsukishima taking in the surroundings. Even though it was dark you could just make out the view as the lights from the surrounding buildings illuminated it.
"Your prettier." He answered bluntly, walking over to the tire swing. "Come sit y/n." He said patting the space next to him on the large swing. You walked over with Dino and curled up on the swing next to him.
Tsukishima threw a green ball at Dino , who chased it across the park.
"Hmm, you sure do love the colour green Kei." You murmured.
"And what about it y/n?" He asked. "I didn't say it was bad," You giggled, "Just well, I dunno actually."
"That's what I thought." Tsukishima smirked.
"Oh my god , your such a dick." You said playfully punching him in the arm.
At this point in time , Dino had came back with the ball and handed it to Tsukki. He threw it again, this time further than the last.
"And proud." He said sarcastically. You snuggled up closer to him , placing your head on his chest. Tsukishima being Tsukishima was stiff to your sudden movement at first, but then gave in and melted into your embrace.
You sat in a comforting silence taking turns to throw the ball at Dino , both enjoying each others company.
About an hour had passed and you were both extremely tired. Luckily it was a Friday and you didn't have classes over the weekend and Tsukishima didn't have practice.
"Do you want to come to my place y/n? It's late and I don't feel comfortable with you going home by yourself this late..."
You yawned , slight tears forming in your eyes. You ran your hand through your braids and nodded. "Thanks Kei, I appreciate it."
Dino had came back and Tsukishima placed his lead back on him. He took out his hand intending for you to take it. You intertwined your fingers with his and he said...
"Anything for you shortcake."
"You calling me short , titanasour?"
"So what if I am?"
"How is that fair everyone's smaller than you. You're literally 6"5?"
"Okay and..."
"Fuck your titanasour."
You both began walking back to Tsukishima's home before you were stopped in the street.
"Hey Kei." A girl smiled at him, before turning around to look at you.
"Ew what are you doing with her. She's so ugly." She spat. "You deserve someone better, someone who doesn't look like a monkey."
Kei's grip around you tightened and his poise stiffened.
"Please don't call me Kei. We are not friends nor acquaintances. And I happen to think y/n is beautiful. What do you get from being racist and bringing down other women?" Tsukishima said coldly. His tone was enough to make a grown man cry.
"Did you think it would impress me." He cackled. "Well you're clearly mistaken. I hate bitches like you. Fucking racist."
He let go of your hand so that he could keep a tighter grip on Dino who was currently running round in circles like a mad animal. This didn't knock Tsukki off of his roll though.
"Are you mad that she looks ten times better then you without the 30 pounds of makeup? Damn I wish I could care. No wonder you have no friends."
Tsukishima looked her up and down and sucked his teeth "what even is your name? Must be irrelevant since I don't seem to remember. Now do me a favour apologise to my right now and don't talk to us again." He said to her snarkily.
Slight tears formed in her eyes, but you couldn't feel sympathetic. She came for you unprovoked. And Tsukishima stuck up for you, hell he even called you his girlfriend. You didn't know how to react, you were obviously hurt by that girls harsh words but the way Tsukishima stuck up for you was amazing.
"Why should I apologise to a gorilla?" She said.
You sucked your teeth and stepped forward before someone stepped infront of you.
"What the fuck did you just say?"

A King in the Clouds
Tanlar. A cruel, repulsive, and foul word. It meant untitled, officially, but it also meant ungifted, unable, unworthy, unnecessary, unhuman. It was more a curse than a term, a badge only the damned and condemned wore. To be a tanlar was to know your life, your entire being, was insignificant. Once Kaizer had resigned himself to such a fate, but those times had passed. He may have been untitled, but he was anything but untalented. He refused to scrape by at the bottom of society. Those who stood above him could sneer all they liked, but he wouldn’t suffer being stepped on for long. He’d be better, much better. But of course he would be. ‘Fate’ demanded it so. [Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] What To Expect: The story of a boy becoming a man becoming a king + everything that entails. Largely gamelit, but later arcs could be called litrpg. Also schemes. A lot of schemes. I do love some good ol' fantasy politics and intrigue. Minimum Word Count a Week: TBA after Writathon Release Time(s): Daily for as long as I can/until the end of the Writathon. I also write The Deathseeker [Returning Dec 5th]
