He was salty
Salty as can be
She was sweet
Like sugar
Too much salt can ruin the taste
But just the right amount of sugar would make it right
Salty and sweet
Polar opposites
But they work
Just like y/n and Kei
—————————-
Kei Tsukishima. First year Tokyo university. He was what his friend Kuroo would call , a country bumpkin. He went to high school in the Miyagi prefecture at a school called Karusono.
He came to Japan for a fresh start, but it turns out a lot of his friends did the same thing. Hitoka and Tadashi , but hey at least it was better then small fry and the tryant king. The two of them decided to focus on their volleyball careers and go pro. I mean , Tsukishima still played volley-ball and was a pro himself. But he also decided to go to college alongside that. Tsukishima was a middle blocker for the Sendai frogs , a division 2 team in the v league.
———
Practice had just finished and Tsukishima was hungry. His teammates Kanji and Kentarō had asked if he wanted to get some food with them, but he refused.
"Go ahead guys , I'm not that hungry." He lied, he wanted to go to the little cafe near Yachi's place. The shortcake they had was amazing and it was always quiet. Tsukishima liked the quiet and being alone from time to time. Being surrounded by loud mouths like Kogane and Mad dog got really annoying after a while. It would be a lie to say he got used to it.
"Okay then, see you tomorrow Tsukki!." Koganegawa yelled before walking out with Kyōtani.
————
Tsukki walked to the little cafe and smiled to himself. The streets of Tokyo were quiet for once , i mean it was pretty late. He wondered if the little cafe would be empty too, but to his dismay when he arrived there was a line.
He should've called it, this cafe did have the best shortcake in the whole of Tokyo.

While he was standing in line, he felt a presence next to him. He didn't turn around to look, but instead side eyed the person. It was a girl, she had an aura around her that made him feel strange.
A good strange, but none the less strange. She had brown skin, that looked like gold underneath the cafe light and her hair was long and braided. Wrapped up in a bandanna and high ponytail. Ontop of all this , she looked cute. She had an oversized hoodie on and grey joggers. It most definitely wasn't a fashionable outfit but made Tsukishima blush none the less.
Tsukishima felt her staring at him. He didn't mind though. It wasn't every day you saw a 6"5 man in a cafe. Ontop of all this, it would be very hypocritical for him to call her out for it. Since he was doing the same thing...
He was just less obvious.
He found her beautiful and there was something about her that seemed familiar. He just couldn't lay his finger on it.

"Please may I order the..."
"Strawberry shortcake ."
"Strawberry shortcake ."
The girl had now turned to look at him. He smirked at her , "my, my I must say you have immaculate taste."
She giggled at him whilst handing the money to the cashier. Her laugh made him smile just a little bit. It was beautiful. He could listen to it all day and watch it all day.
The way her she smiled before laughing, the way she used her hand to cover her mouth. The way her eyes laughed along with her, squinting upwards.
"So do you." She said politely to Tsukishima. He loved her voice, it was silky and smooth. Not too high , but not too low.
Perfect.
Everything about her intrigued him, he wanted to know more.
"No drink?" Tsukishima asked the girl noticing she had finished paying the cashier and was recievijg her receipt.

"Crap , I forgot." She pinched the bridge of her nose and slightly bit her lip. Tsukishima felt bad for her and since she interested him so much he came up with a plan.
"Hey , why don't I order you one? But in return you have to sit with me, deal?" Tsukishima knew there was a high chance of her saying no, but he just wanted to try. It's better to try and fail then to not to try at all. He learnt that in his first year of highschool, even though if anyone asked he would refuse to admit it.
"Deal!" She smiled at him, a grin formed on his face. He didn't actually think she would agree.
"Can I add two strawberry milkshakes onto that."
————-
Tsukishima's POV:
I lead her to an isolated table in the corner of the cafe. We sat down and chatted about random stuff before the food arrived. I thanked the waitress and so did she, before she went off to tend to other customers in the cafe.
I watched her take a mouthful of the cake and her eyes lit up. "This shit is so good!" She said to me, before taking another bite.
She's so cute , I thought. I've never seen a girl get so happy over some shortcake ake. It was adorable.
"I must agree with you there. Can't beat the cake from here." I chuckled at her
"So I must assume you like shortcake too?"
"Yes I do , it's salty but sweet. I like it..."
What the fuck am I saying , I thought, she's definitely going to think I'm weird after this.
"Y/n L/n."
"Kei. Kei Tsukishima."
————-
"Tsukishima ? As in Tsukki? She giggled at the boy. "My roommate had told me about you."
"Whose your roommate." Tsukishima asked.
"Yachi Hitoka." She smiled, "she said you were tall but I didn't think you were THIS tall." She revealed motioning at Tsukishima.
"Oh Hitoka is your roommate? She told me about you too...
How are you finding Japan by the way?" Tsuki asked the pretty girl. She smiled at him, "it's okay I've ran into a few problems here and there and sometimes I struggle with my Japanese. But other than that, it's good."
"Your Japanese sounds good to me l/n." Tsukishima told her. Flustered, a small smile spread across her face. "Thanks."
———
They engaged in conversation for a while , soft laughs escaping their mouths. She told him about her home , the U.K and how her parents were actually immigrants from South Africa.
"We should hang out again Tsukishima." She smiled, "I think your really cool."
"Please call me Kei, and I'd love too. Same place , same time tomorrow?" He asked.
"Same place , same time." She winked.
—————-
Weeks passed you and Tsukishima came to the cafe every night. Sometimes it was to talk , other times it was to study. And sometimes it was just for company.
You liked being with him and he liked being with you.
You both decided to keep your late night trips a secret , even though they were practically routine by this point. You both didn't want anyone messing it up, even if that meant keeping it from your best friends.
————
"Hey y/n?" Tsukishima asked you.
"Mhmm?" You hummed slurping your milkshake.
"Let me take you on a date..." he asked you.
You froze. You really liked Kei , but you didn't think he liked you back. Those words were music to your ears.
"Okay Kei , when?" You asked
"Right now..." he took your arm and dragged you out of the shop.
"B- but my milkshake..." You cried, wiping a fake tear from your eye.
"Fine go get it..." He said letting you go, you stuffed the rest of the cake in your mouth and grabbed both of your drinks.
"Right I'm ready where are you taking me." You smiled at him

Steamforged Sorcery [A Steampunk LitRPG]
This is a fantasy story in a steampunk setting, not a sci-fi. The Great War ravaged the face of the earth many years ago. In the years that passed, the world rebuilt, mixing machinery and magic to form something new. Great blimps took to the sky, belching steam and smoke as metal cities sprouted like weeds below. Angel, a talented mage, scours the desert endlessly in search of lost knowledge. When it unexpectedly falls into his hands, he quickly comes to realize that the world is far larger – and far more deadly – than he ever could have predicted. But no amount of danger is going to keep Angel from seeking out greater strength and traveling the world, claiming all the greatest treasure that it has to offer. To most, the desert is a dangerous threat to be feared. To Angel, it’s a land of opportunity, waiting to be exploited. Steamforged Sorcery is, as the title suggests, a LitRPG Steampunk story with heavy focus on magic and scenery. The main character starts out relatively strong (but far from overpowered) but will eventually grow in strength to incredible levels. It is moderately paced and does not progress at ridiculous speeds. Release Schedule: 1,500 words daily Monday-Friday

The Dungeon of Evolution
The greatest mage and researcher in the universe, Ian Irwin, known to only his closest friends died at far too young an age. For their own goals and to give the mage another chance at life, the Gods and Goddesses reincarnated him into a dungeon. Most would shudder at the thought, in fact Ian did, but not for the same reasons. The plants, animals, fungi, and monsters that inhabited dungeons fascinated Ian in a way nothing besides his wife had. Ian had studied everything he could about dungeons and now he could be one. Traumatising Content: Besides the purpose of dungeons, the presenting of evil morals as a positive is not present in this novel. Evil morals themselves, however, are present. Combined with the gore tag, there will be imagery present that could be considered traumatising. The absence of the sexual content tag means there will be no scenes of that nature. I, the author, apologize to any previous readers that, due to my previous clarification, read the story with the belief that scenes of disturbing imagery would not be present.

Gateway to Nexus (Dropped)
A story about a relatively normal young man named Sebastian Frost and his adventures in a new VR world by the name of Nexus. Unlike most he has a definite goal and that is to prove that his favorite class is also viable in this new world. The class? Well it's a mage of course. Events not of his own choosing, ends up sending him down a dark path of growth and self-discovery, one that he never could have predicted. The mature tag is there for several reasons, for now it's a precaution, but at some point there will probably appear both sexual and violent content.

Mordheim: Servants of The Damned (A Warhammer Fantasy Fiction)
“The Great Library,” Stated the stranger with a pause. “You know of it?”“Of course I do. In the Merchant’s Quarter?”“Yes, in the Merchant’s Quarter. I have gathered that there is an… artefact of importance within its walls.” Slowly, the figure produced a rusted key from the furls of his robes and held it in a black-gloved hand. “This opens the door to its chambers. It is the grimoire of Gunnar von Krugenheim, and I believe that it would serve better in the world than locked away in a dusty room.” Behind the cursed walls of Mordheim, warbands and gangs of all stripes are embattled in constant wars for resources and power. The cursed city attracts throngs in the thousands, searching for treasures, artefacts, power, and sometimes all three. The Cult of the Hidden Brethren is no exception, and when an opportunity to extend their reach is discovered, the cultists are eager to take the opportunity. However, not all is set in stone, and soon the cultists discover that the lure of power alone may not be enough to give them the drive required to see their quest done... --- Mordheim: Servants of the Damned is a fanfiction set in the world of Warhammer Fantasy, which is not owned by me but by the company Games Workshop. I of course, lay claim to nothing in this story but the characters I have created, and the core events of the story itself. This is my first true foray into fantasy writing, let alone Warhammer Fantasy, therefore any feedback is welcome. (It should be noted as well, the cover art is merely an artwork I found online and is not mine, therefore I do not lay claim to that either.)
