HOLD UP, I bet you're wondering what happened to Sonic? Well, this chapter will contain what ALL characters are doing in short detail about what they've been up to since the 'conclusion'. You can skip it or not, but all sections will include mention of the reader even if they're not there directly.

The Imperial Palace of the Sol Empire, or the capital of Blaze the Cat's dimension where she rules in a gentle and just reign. Her castle was beautifully built upon rustic pastel bricks, decorated in carved gold and draped in the finest vermilion tapestry.

The evening before as she sat on her balcony, Braze was alerted by her counselor of an emergency. A meteor-like object that was seen hertling towards the castle grounds. In a rush, the cat found herself at a confusing scene. The crazy beam of light was Sonic the Hedgehog.

It is now the next day, where the two are meeting to speak about how the hero ended up here.

Blaze sat sipping a hot cup of tea around a large table, clothed in a light purple with various snacks dotted around the little breakfast feast as the sun rose behind the hills. With narrowed but curious eyes, she looked to her blue friend as he explained his story.

It made absolutely no sense.

She sighed to herself and set down her tea, "The Sonic the Hedgehog I know is swift and free as the wind. He has no master and fights got anyone and everyone. There was no challenge too great he won't face with a smile."

Sonic too tried to pick up the teacup regally out of respect for his majestic friend, but he couldn't help smirking, "Sounds like an impressive guy."

"You don't know who I'm talking about?-" Blaze leaned back in her chair, placing a hand on her forehead in frustration.

This- confused? Sonic the hedgehog began to respond in a way Blaze thought was especially irregular. The hedgehog spoke- regal?

"Haven't the foggiest your highness."

"Oh dear..." Blaze mumbled, sitting back straight in her chair and looking to Sonic. She thought to herself, 'What in the world did this to you Sonic?'

. . . . .

It was now dusk, and Blaze had dismissed Sonic to go allow him to see if he could remember who he was, where he came from. The cat had been with her assistant throughout the day, recovering a glass sealed box that was wheeled out to where Sonic had stopped to take a small break after he noticed the peculiar box.

"Interesting gemstones, your highness."

Belond, contained within the glass case was a set of 7 flat emerald shaped stones varying in color from red, yellow, blue and green, to even clear. They shone with a brilliant reflection that pierced through the hedgehog's eyes, almost as if- "Familiar..."

Blaze held out her hand to the emeralds, causing them to slowly rise up and burst into a glow of flaming energy right before Sonic's eyes! "Sonic, listen to me."

He squinted in confusion and from the blindness, confused as to why this royal feline kept referring to him as this hero she graciously praised.

Blaze lifted up into the air, calling out to Sonic as she turned into a spiraling, burning form, "Recall our past adventures. Recall all the good you have done. Return to the hero I know you to be!"

"What are you talking about? WHY ARE YOU ON FIRE?- WHY-!?" Sonic jumped back, holding a hand in front of his face as he tried to look at Blaze. He was so mesmerized by the light he allowed himself to become engulfed in the familiar fire. Sonic lowered his hand to gaze into the mirrored flames, seeing a similar glowing figure one kin to himself, along with two others in that same powerful form.

Starline. Eggman. The Metal Virus. Silver. The Warp Topaz.

(Y/n).

The fire began to die out as Blaze flaunted back down to the ground, stepping a final burst of flame out of existence in a puff of smoke as she walked over to Sonic, "How do you feel now?"

"Hah. I've got chili back on my dog." (Yes that's the actual line from the comic). "Mind sending me home?"

Blaze smiled and looked at Sonic knowing he was back with that kind of humor, or metaphor maybe... Regardless, she raised her arms in the air again to regain the power of the Sol emeralds, "Of course. PLease, give my best regards to your friends."

"And you come and visit too sometime. We miss ya, especially Silver." Sonic began to tap his foot as he allowed himself to be eaten by the Sol flames.

With a final flick of her wrist, Blaze sent Sonic back, thanking him for the hospitality.

The future. Far... Future.

Silver had gone home, knowing he had left his world unprotected for too long. With the little energy remaining in the Chaos emeralds, he reused their power to teleport back to his dimensional future that was slowly healing. Last he was there, grass had finally started to grow back.

The white hedgehog was happy to see his dying world reanimate with a blue sky and green covering the entirety of the landscape. It was wonderful progress to him, and worth protecting. Silver came to a halt on top of a cliff, nervously lowering himself to the ground and his feet made contact with the grassy ground.

"Wow." he murmured, smiling widely, but tried not to get his hopes up. Turning around, Silver looked behind him at the rolling green hills, ignoring what he was about to walk right into.

"A lot can change in a couple hundred years. How much was been res... tored?."

Silver turned around to keep hovering forwards again, knowing the cliff was about to end. But to his glorious surprise, a bustling, towering city was left in the wake of destruction he left. Cyberpower mirrors reflected the sunlight and lit up the world around it. Flying cars grazed past buildings and many people walked below in its streets. All as if nothing ever happened.

The psychic hero thought his heart would stop. His mind and body froze as he looked out, unsure of what to think of this revelation.

"A-and it's all thanks to everyone. Sonic, a-and (Y/n). We did it." Silver had to stop himself from collapsing on his knees and crying out in happiness. This future he finally wanted was here. A safer, better place for the continuation of life.

"We made a good future."

The evil Dr. Eggman carried a deranged and bickering object in his hand that vocally fought back against its captor, even if it was placed on mute. He approached a familiar robotic form that was being held in place by an electromagnetic, spherical prison that suspended the robot body in the air.

"Finally, the finishing touch! How does it feel to be corporeal again Omega?" Eggman had placed the captured head of Omega onto his new body. Small blue pulses of electricity accepted the head.

"𝙶𝚘𝚘𝚍. 𝙳𝚎𝚜𝚝𝚛𝚘𝚢𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚠𝚒𝚕𝚕 𝚋𝚎 𝚎𝚗𝚑𝚊𝚗𝚌𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚜 𝚋𝚢 𝟿𝟶%." Omega buzzed to life as the reattachment of his head allowed his processor to speak again.

"WOO-HA-HA! Oh I bet it would! But I locked down you body in this little special prison so there'll be no mayhem for you. At least not yet." Eggman spun Omega around as if to taunt the aggravated robot as he hung upside down.

Eggman walked away laughing as he left Omega to his own peril, entering his personal quarters with screens lined up across the entire wall. His tow little robot henchmen were clacking at the keyboards to locate information Eggman requested. "Or-bot. Cu-bot. REPORT!"

Orbot responded first, the red henchman, who pointed out that, "Most of the bases were destroyed and ruined by the Deadly Six after they took control. And the main storage facility (N/n), or (Y/n) broke into."

Eggman spun into a little chair as he sat down, propping his chin in his hand as he looked at a screen Or-bot pulled up, "Bah, that pesky (m/s)... and where are those miserable zete creatures now?"

Orbot pointed to a screen with an imprisoned Zavok. "Their leader has been safely locked away in the same facility (Y/n) used to be in. Very high security."

"And?..."

"And the other five are still loose, but are laying low by the looks of it."

"Well then, looks like we'll just have to move on to the next project while those nosey Freedom Fighters are busy trying to rebuild their peaceful little world." Eggman adjusted his glasses and stood up.

"Wait, what about your fanboy?- Protege!?" Or-bot corrected himself and began to shiver, unsure of if the topic would trigger something from his boss, but Eggman stayed quiet.

"I don't think he'll be bothering us anymore."

Starline's secret Repository. The platypus had found himself in a storage facility along the cliffside, littered with the able and destroyed bodies of Eggman minions and robots he now had a hard time looking at. Eggman had tossed him out for following the Eggman way.

"Why Dr... Why... How could you let them win, help them? When we had the advantage..." Starline was using a paintbrush to wash away the eggman insignia on each box he was packing up in the storage facility.

Repurposed robots walked back and forth hauling the cargo with ease, some, hauling other robot parts. Starline made three black 'X' marks on his box before standing up to move onto the next one, when something caught his eye...

"Wait."

Starline slowly turned his head around, narrowing his eyes to one robot carrying the body of a battered E-19 Egg Keeper bot.

"Set that one down." Starline pointed to the ground, and the robot minion placed the body on the ground before being ordered back to clean-up duty. Starline now stood over the E-19 Egg Keeper, looking at each detail of the ragged robot.

"You too (Y/n). I can't believe you'd play right into those hero's hands when you had so much potential power."

Starline began to cluckle to himself, "Fear not, my poor confused (Y/n), I'll bring back the horrid (N/n). You will acknowledge I was right. You will finally listen to ME! And we will work together as equals!"

Forest Hill, atop one of the square floating terraces with perfect grass, stood a figure with crossed arms looking out across a sunset horizon falling behind distant hazing mountains.

Shadow the Hedgehog looked out across the valley, thinking to himself of all that happened. What he had missing. How he had failed.

"There you are." His focus was broken by his ally, Rouge, who floated down to the terrace and landed behind the eddy man, "You can be hard to track down sometimes."

Shadow didn't respond nor turn his head to look at Rouge, who continued to mutter on, "Things seemed to have settled down. Bad guys are in hiding and not causing much trouble. But no signal from Sonic or Omega..."

Rouge adjusted her arm sleeve and looked out across the same landscape she noticed had captivated her dark friend. He still hadn't responded..."Are you even listening to me Shadow?"

"Yes."

Rouge pouted her lips and turned to face the hedgehog who blatantly answered her question."What's up with you? You've been more brooding than usual."

Shadow sighed, knowing there was no way Rouge would drop something that was bugging him this much, even if he told her to like usual whenever the bat pestered him. He looked once to Rouge and then back out across the pink clearing, "He said to Run. What I thought was cowardice was a warning. A mistake, a miscalculation. It's unacceptable."

Rouge put her hands on her hips as Shadow practically started to vent, "Geez, if you can't talk about it you don't have to-"

"-And that (M/s) (N/n), (Y/n)- From what I've learned she truly did come to help and I pushed her away. We were both fighting for the same goals. She even overcame me twice."

"Who-ho. Twice?" Rouge stifled a laugh as Shadow tried not to rage about this personal defeat.

Shadow finally turned around to face Rouge, "I owe them, both. But HE is gone. That's all."

Rouge smiled as Shadow hesitated to turn back around, realizing he was rather emotionally exposed in that moment. She smirked to herself, but in a happy smile kind of way, proud that her closed up, self-preserving friend allowed himself to open up a little."There's a party tonight on Spiral Hill-"

"Pass."

"Thought I'd try." Rouge started to lift off again, planning on heading out before she added that, "maybe you can go owe that favor to (Y/n)."

Final Fight Coming up! I'd say two more chapters after this one. A little bit of (Y/n) time and the party and then the final fight.
