Viviana and Christian decided to fly them and the kids out to California to be with Christian's family for Thanksgiving. Viviana's family would be flying out the next day to join them for the big family dinner. It was definitely a bittersweet moment with the family, as this was the first time Sawyer would be flying out to see family and Eiley hadn't seen Christian's family in a while, it was a needed thing.
"Babe, I really am happy we're here.." Viviana smiled, wrapping her arms around Christian as they sat outside on the back patio. "I missed it out here.."
Christian looked back at his wife, nodding, "I definitely am glad we came out here. I needed to be with family, missed them.." He said, kissing Vivi's cheek. "I think it'll be good for the kids too, they need to be with our families. I can't wait to see your mom and dad tomorrow."
Viviana smiled, nodding, "I can't wait, either! I miss my momma.." She replied, looking at Christian, "Eiley was so happy to see your mom again and Cameron. She always liked Cameron more than Collin," She giggled, "I don't blame her,"
Christian laughed, shaking his head, "Collin loves Sawyer, I think it's cool, honestly. They both are close to one of my brothers, which is something I really wanted. I really appreciate that my brothers love our kids so much." He rubbed Vivi's side as he smiled, seeing his dog Cooper come by them, "And I really missed this little shit," He laughed as Cooper licked all over his face, "Yes, buddy, I know, I missed you too." Viviana giggled, petting Cooper as he just showered the couple in love.
"Cooper, get off of them!" Alecia said as she walked outside, "Sorry, guys. Guess he's just excited to see you two." She laughed, "Now that the kiddos are occupied with your brothers, I guess we can finally just sit down and talk,"
"Whatcha wanna talk about?" Christian asked his mother, sitting up as he still kept his arms around Viviana.
"Just wanted to see how you two are doing. I know you two have been trying to balance life and work and whatnot." Alecia said, "I'm glad that you two flew out here though, I was missing you guys and the kids. Sawyer's gotten so big!"
Vivi nodded, "I know, he's growing way too fast. But, Eiley is such an amazing help with him. When I was in London for a week, Eiley helped Christian out so much. She's so little, but she loves helping out around the house." She smiled, looking at Christian then at Alecia, "I really do appreciate everything she does, even though she's only three. Can't believe she's going to be three and a half soon.."
"Crazy how you guys already have two kiddos. I remember when you guys told us that you were having Eiley! I'll never forget that day. My oldest boy's growing up too fast.." Alecia said, chuckling. "I'm proud of you two, you guys have grown into responsible adults and amazing parents.."

Christian smiled at Alecia, shaking his head, "Thanks mom, still crazy to us, too." He looked at Viviana, leaning over to kiss her cheek, "If anyone should be proud, it's this lady right here. Vivi is an amazing mom, I don't know how she does it,"
Viviana can't help but blush at her husband's words. She'll never get over the compliments and the encouraging words from him. She got so lucky when it came to him.
"Oh stop, you're an amazing dad, you know that." She replied, wrapping her arms around his neck, "And an amazing husband at that," She smiled at him. "I really am appreciative of Christian's help. I don't think I would be able to do this alone, it would definitely be a stressful one at that," She laughed, kissing Christian's jawline.
"You two are so in love, I'll never get over that. I always wanted someone who would make Christian smile all the time, and I think he's found that girl," Alecia said, admiring the couple and how smiley they were with one another, "You definitely deserve one another and I don't think I would want anyone else for my son..." She said, looking at Viviana, "You really do make him a better man.."
Vivi smiles, shaking her head, "I am lucky to have him. I don't know how I got blessed with an amazing guy like him. Even after breaking up and getting back together, I think it just made our love stronger. I wouldn't want to be married to anyone else and have an amazing family with anyone else but him..." She said before Christian smiled and kissed her, softly. She smiled against his lips before returning the kiss.
Christian pulled away, pulling her close against him. "You are truly an amazing, beautiful young woman, Viv." He said, kissing her cheek, "And I am not just saying that. I mean it with every fiber in my body."
Alecia smiled, "You are such a respectable young man, Christian. It makes me happy knowing you're so nice and respectful and care about Viviana and your family."
"I wouldn't wanna live life with anyone else but her.."

Thanksgiving rolled around and Viviana's family was scheduled to fly in from Miami. She couldn't wait to see her parents, it had been almost a year since she saw them last. She couldn't wait for them to finally meet Sawyer in person as well.
She got Eiley dressed in a cute maroon dress and tied her hair up in a half up half down hairstyle. "Look at you, Eiley Rose! You are so beautiful." She smiled, kissing Eileys forehead.
"Gamma coming today, momma?" Eiley asked Vivi, reaching her arms up for Viviana to pick her up.
"Yup! Gramma and grandpa are coming today! You get to see both your grandparents. They're so excited to see you!" She kissed her cheek, "Why don't we go see what Sawyer and daddy are up to..." Viviana said as she carried Eiley in by Christian and Sawyer in Christian's old bedroom and smiled, "Look at my handsome men.."

Christian looked back at Viviana and smiled, "Look at my beautiful girls!" He said, kissing Eileys cheek and took her from Viviana. "Damn, you look good.." He said, kissing Viviana.
Vivi giggles against his lips, kissing him back. "Me? Look at you!" She smiled and looked at Sawyer, "And look at my handsome little man!" She picked him up, kissing all over his face. "You are so handsome, Sawyer! Daddy dressed you up nice today!" She held him close, kissing his head. "Good job, babe." She said looking at Christian.
"Thanks, baby." He said, smiling at his wife.
"You're welcome," Viviana smiled at him, "You look so handsome," She grabbed Christian's hand. "I love it." She giggled, kissing his hand.
"I can't wait to see your mom and dad! I've missed them. And I'm excited for Sawyer to meet them, they're gonna love him." He smiled and looked at Eiley, "Are you excited to see grandma and grandpa?"
Eiley nodded, "Oh yes, daddy! I miss them!" She giggled, "Bubby see them too?"
"Yeah, bubby's gonna see him! They haven't met bubby yet." He told her, kissing her head. "You look very pretty, princess." He said as Eiley smiled big at him.
"Thank you, daddy!"
"Christian? Company's here!" Alecia called from downstairs.
Christian smiled, "They're here, Eils! Why don't you go say hi first!" He set Eiley down who ran to the stairs and ran downstairs.
"Oh my goodness!" She said as she saw Viviana's mom and dad and ran to them. "Hi, gamma!!" She exclaimed, jumping up and Viviana's mom picked her up.
"Hello, beautiful!" Her mom smiled, kissing her cheek. "You have gotten so big!"
Viviana walked downstairs, holding Sawyer. "I see Eiley found you guys," She laughed, going to hug her dad. "Hi, guys."
Her dad, Jack hugged her back. "Hi, bug. Is this the little man?" He smiled and took Sawyer from her. "Little Sawyer!"
"That's my little guy," Vivi smiled, "He might be a little nervous at first, but he'll warm up to you guys."
"You weren't lying when you said he had Christian's face," Her mom smiled, "He's adorable, Vivi."
Christian moved and hugged them both, "It's nice to see you guys again," He smiled and took Eiley from them, setting her down. "How was the flight?"
"It was good! Had a layover in Dallas, but glad we're here now. I missed you guys." Vivi's mom, Cari said. "How long have you guys been out here?"
"Only like two days. I came out here to help my mom with things beforehand and Eiley wanted to see Cameron when he got home,"
"Oh yeah! He's home from overseas, right?" Cari asked, Christian nodded in response. "That must've been exciting.."
They all talked for a little while before Viviana's parents and Alecia were working on dinner and Eiley wouldn't leave their sides and just wanted to help them out. Viviana laid Sawyer down for a little nap and she walked into Christian's bedroom, smiling at him.
"Hi, beautiful," Christian said, looking up from his phone. "I still can't get over how beautiful you look." He told her, causing Viviana to blush.
"Oh, stop it." She giggled, "You're just saying that."
Christian rolled his eyes, getting up and wrapped his arms around her, "You look so good, babygirl.." He kissed her cheek then her neck, "I don't just say it, I mean it." He told her and Viviana wrapped her arms around his neck. "You look so so good.."
Viviana giggled, shaking her head, "You are too good to me.." She said, looking in his eyes, "You look so handsome.." She kissed his cheek, Christian moved his hands to her ass, and she just rolled her eyes, "You getting handsy on me now?"
He nodded, "Is that a problem for you? Never was.." He said, kissing her neck.
"I never said it was," She smiled at him, "Been waiting to get me alone, huh?"
"Uh, yeah," Christian laughed, "Sawyer's sleeping, Eiley's occupied with our parents, perfect time." He pulled her to the bed and she giggled as he laid her down.
"What's gotten into you?" She giggled again, looking up at him.
Christian shrugged, "Just wanna admire my beautiful wife, that's all..." He said, hovering over her. He leaned down to kiss her neck and there was a knock at the door, causing him to groan and sit up. He got up and opened the door, seeing Cameron was the one behind the knocking, "Sup?"
"Dinner's ready," Cameron chuckled, "Did I interrupt something?" He asked, looking over, seeing Viviana was propped up on her elbows.
"No, we were just cuddling.." Christian lied, "We'll be down in a second.."
Cameron nodded, "Mhm, cuddling...That's what they all say," He laughed.
"Shut up, fucker," Christian said, laughing as he ruffled Cameron's hair before he walked away. Viviana got up and walked behind Christian as they walked downstairs behind Cameron.
After they finished dinner, they all decided to watch a movie in the theater room. Viviana walked in after putting Sawyer to bed since she knew he wouldn't stay up for the movie. She smiled at Christian before moving to sit on his lap,
"Hi, handsome." She said quietly, kissing his cheek.
"No funny business..." He whispered in her ear, and she just shook her head,
"No promises.." Viviana said as she wrapped her arms around his neck as they watched the movie.
It definitely was needed being with family for the holidays. Both Christian and Viviana needed this; They had been in Wisconsin away from both of their families for so long, being together with both of them made everything seem whole again.

Sara's (not really) Fabulous System Armageddon, Book I: The World Ended at Rush Hour
Planet Earth, Monday, October 7th, 2019. 18:30 * * On a fateful day, during rush hour in eastern North America, Heavens and Hell crumbled and fell from their higher dimension on Earth. It came from "above" but not the same above we regard in our tridimensional Euclidean reasoning. No, it came from "above" as in from a higher dimension. Bits and pieces of those places fell on Earth from all directions, this time in tridimensional Euclidean space. Satellites, the ISS, and space debris all were wiped clean from orbit. Even those that didn't crash with the falling debris were knocked off orbit by the shockwaves. On the ground, power distribution lines were disrupted and most power facilities were left abandoned by their dead staff. Most of these had emergency shutdown routines that engaged in a few days. Some others had a survivor among their staff that followed protocol and activated their SCRAM switches, stopping the power plant. Long-distance communication disappeared the internet along with it. The world was plunged into technological darkness. Nine hundred and ninety-nine out of every thousand human beings perished immediately in the pulse of magical energy from the torn spatial boundary. Spirits were rent asunder and vanished, their fate neither salvation nor damnation, only oblivion. The criteria used for this culling was latent magic potential. It didn't discriminate against education, gender, age, or ethnic group. But of the around seven million survivors, most would meet their doom moments later. Those on moving vehicles, like the ones driving on highways suddenly had to contend with high-speed uncontrolled cars and trucks driven by corpses. Trapped in their vehicles and helpless, they became part of the long snake of crushed metal. Very few survived. Those in the air or out in the sea were alone and probably unable to control their rides. Airplanes crashed, and ships kept their course or drifted away, depending on their autopilot. Several ended their own lives in utter despair after seeing their loved ones die in front of them. Another large group would die at the hands of other survivors. Violence and aggression became the norm. Only a few sparse pockets of not-so-sane survivors managed to band together and cooperate for the sake of mutual survival. The sole survivor in a five-over-one apartment building in Georgia, a girl became the keystone to humanity's survival. Sara's fabulous System Apocalypse had just started. She has only one remark. It was anything but fabulous. * * Updates every Wednesday and Sunday.
