Christian was still in California, his trip getting extended out to two weeks due to conflicts. Viviana was due any day now, and not having Christian home with her only made her anxiety climb. She didn't want to go into labor and have her husband be across the country from her; He needed to be there for the birth of their son.

As Viviana sifted the aisles of Target with her daughter in a cart and her sister walking besides her, they found themselves in the baby aisles, looking at cute onesies for boys and more things to prepare them to welcome their boy into the world.

"When I was pregnant with Eiley, I would always come here and see what cute stuff they had, but mostly just looked at unisex stuff because I didn't know what we were having yet.." Viviana commented, chuckling as she saw her sister looking through clothes.

"Momma, I get that?" Eiley pointed at a onesie about her size and Viviana held it up. "It Olaf, momma!"

Viviana smiled, "It is Olaf! I guess I can get you this one thing. But remember, we're looking for your baby brother.." She told her as she set the onesie in the cart.

"So, when does Christian come home?" Gia asked, looking back at her sister.

"At this point? Thursday night. It's been two weeks, and it was originally supposed to be a week, but they had shit come up with scheduling, so they kind of all just been hanging out out there." Viviana sighed, "I miss him a ton, and I would really like him to be home as I'm due any day now.."

Gia nodded, "You're right. Your due date is like Friday, right?"

Vivi nodded, "Yeah, I mean, I haven't really experienced anything that's been screaming 'oh you're going into labor' or anything pre-labor. Who knows? Maybe he just wants to chill in there for a little longer." She laughed, "But I would like him out."

"I bet, you're much more bigger with him than you were with Eiley." Gia commented, "But, you make the pregnancy look so cute."

"Thanks, my husband told me that too." She giggled, walking into the maternity aisle, "I know I shouldn't be looking at these clothes because I won't really need them after I have him, but, you never know." She shrugged as she looked through the clothing racks.

Viviana started to feel pain in her pelvic area and she placed her hand on her stomach where she felt what felt like a kick, "That was weird.."

Gia looked at her sister, "You okay, Vi?"

"Yeah, yeah, just got a hard kick from him." She replied, tensing up as she felt the pain get more extreme. "Gia...I don't think it was a kick.." Viviana felt the water trickle down her leg in her leggings and she knew right away what was going on.

"Holy shit, Vi, do we have to go??" Gia looked at her sister with concern.

Viviana hunched over, nodding, "Yeah, we need to go.." She teared up as Gia picked up Eiley and helped Viviana to the car. "Christian's not home...He's not gonna be here for the baby.." Viviana started crying when she sat in the passenger seat.

"Don't you worry, Vi, we're gonna get him out here soon." Gia said, pulling her phone out of her pocket and dialed Christian up.

Christian answered almost instantly, "Hey, Gia, what's up?"

Gia took a deep breath, "Don't freak out. I know you're in California right now, but, Viviana's water just broke so I'm getting her to the hospital.."

Christian's breath hitched in his throat, unable to think of what to say. "Shit, um, I, uh, I'll be on the next flight out to Milwaukee. Make sure she's okay, and make sure Eiley is okay. Fuck, I'll see you soon." He hung up and Gia looked over at Viviana,

"He's going to be here, Vi. I promise.." She held her sister's hand as she drove them to the hospital.

Once in a hospital room, Viviana was laying in a bed, feeling contractions come every so often, she was nowhere near ready to push.

"Viviana? We know you're nowhere near dilated to start pushing, but, the option is also available if you would still like to have a C-section performed.." The nurse said as she walked in, checking Viviana's vitals.

Viviana shook her head, "I'll literally lose my job over it," She laughed quietly, "I'm fine, I want Christian here anyways for it, so Sawyer can take his sweet time getting here until my husband gets here." The nurse smiled and nodded before walking out.

"Momma, you okay?" Eiley looked at her mom, concerned about what was going on. This was all so new to Eiley, she never really had been in a situation like this.

"I'm doing just fine, bug. Your brother just decided that he wanted to come into the world today." Vivi smiled softly at her daughter, "You wanna come sit up by momma?" Eiley nodded as Gia helped her into bed next to Viviana, "Daddy should be here soon.." She kissed her daughter's head, running her fingers through her hair.

Christian arrived five hours later, rushing into the room to see Eiley sleeping against Viviana who was just watching things on her phone. "Baby, holy shit, I'm so sorry.."

Viviana looked at Christian, "Babe, don't apologize, it's okay. You're here now.." She said before Christian leaned down and gave her a kiss. "They said it could be anywhere from five to six more hours before I even am ready to start pushing...The contractions aren't bad yet, so I've been just dealing with them."

Christian let out a sigh of relief, nodding as he pulled a chair up next to the bed, "How long has she been sleeping?" He asked quietly, trying not to wake their daughter.

"About two hours...Her and I were watching videos, but then she fell asleep against me. She had a long day with me, she needs the sleep."

"So do you, baby.." He grazed his thumb across Eiley's cheek and looked at Viviana, "Why don't you try and nap some of it off?" He suggested and Vivi just shook her head.

"I'm fine, babe. I'm just happy you're here." Viviana said as she felt another contraction come. "Oh my god, that one was the worst.."

Eight hours later and Viviana had finally given birth to their beautiful baby boy, Sawyer Ryan Yelich. Though, he was quickly rushed to the NICU as he was born with the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck. He was breathing, but heart rate was irregular.

"Christian, please go make sure he's okay..." Viviana's voice broke, as well as her heart. She didn't want to lose Sawyer, not another baby.

Christian nodded, following the nurse into the NICU. Not more than twenty minutes later, they were able to stabilize his heart rate and make sure he was breathing on his own.

"He gave us quite the scare," The doctor commented, "But, his heart rate is normal, and he's breathing on his own. I'm sure he would love to meet his dad." She smiled as she went into the room to check on Viviana.

Christian looked down at their baby boy who laid wrapped in a blanket with a blue hat on his head. He carefully picked him up, cradling his newborn son in his arms, "You scared us, bud." He kissed his forehead, "But you're okay now, and that's all that matters. We're so happy to finally get to hold you.." He said quietly, rocking his son back and forth. "Let's go meet your momma and your big sister." He walked back into the room, holding Sawyer in his arms as Eiley gasped, looking at him.

"Is that bebe, daddy? Is that my bubba?" Eiley went up to him.

Christian nodded, "But you gotta talk a little more quiet, Eils, he's a baby, he's got sensitive ears." He guided Eiley over to a chair where she sat down and looked up at Christian, "Now, when you hold him, you put one hand on the back of his head to support him, and the other one is going to wrap about him so you hold him close and protect him."

Eiley nodded, holding her hands out and did exactly what Christian told her to do. "It's like bebe doll, daddy."

"Exactly, but he's a real baby. That's your baby brother, Sawyer." Christian told her, kissing the top of her head.

Viviana looked over at them, "Is he okay..?" She asked quietly causing Christian to look over at her.

"He's great, baby. And you're great. You did so good.." He brushed hair out of her face, kissing her forehead softly. "You're such a great momma." He commented, smiling at her.

"I wanna hold him.." Viviana said, looking over at Eiley, who was still holding Sawyer. "Oh my goodness, that's adorable..Did you get a picture?"

Christian took out his phone and took a picture of Eiley holding her baby brother protectively in her arms. "You are a great big sister, Eils." He carefully took Sawyer out of her arms, "He has to meet momma yet.." He smiled and walked over to Viviana where she held her arms out and held her son close to her chest.

"Oh my god, my sweet, handsome boy.." She said, closing her eyes as she just took it all in. He was finally here for Viviana to hold. She had been waiting for this day since she found out she was pregnant, even after the miscarriage. "You are so so loved, I hope you know that.." She whispered, tears falling down her cheeks.

"You two are so strong.." Christian said as he sat in the chair next to her bed, "He is a fighter, and you are a strong, beautiful, brave woman." He told her as she took the hat off of Sawyer's head and smiled.

"He's got your hair color.." She kept smiling, "He better have your curls too, oh my goodness." Viviana said, giggling quietly. "You are so handsome, Sawyer Ryan.."

Their baby boy was here. Their miracle was in their world, and they definitely weren't going to take this for granted.
