Viviana and Christian had decided to allow Gia to watch Eiley as they went to Christian's final game in hopes of them gaining a spot in the playoffs. Vivi knew Christian was nervous; psyching himself out, trying to put the positive in his head while he was thinking of the negative. She wanted him to be happy and do his best, playoffs or not. But, she was confident they could make it.
She sat in the clubhouse, waiting for Christian to get changed into his uniform. He walked out, wearing his pinstripe uniform and looked at her, "Uh, excuse me, are you soon-to-be Mrs. Yelich?" He asked, trying not to laugh.
Vivi looked up at him and smiled, "I knew it was you when you said uh." She giggled, getting up and put her phone away. "Look at you, all cute in your pinstripe uniform. We're matching." She said as she did a twirl, showing that she was wearing one of his older pinstriped shirts.
Christian nodded, and Viviana grabbed his hands, swinging their arms. "You think we're gonna win?" He asked, looking at her.
"I am pretty confident in you guys. And I'm extremely confident in you. You have done this before, you can do it again. Plus, you're on an amazing season, I don't think anything bad will happen, baby." She moved to wrap her arms around his waist, looking up at him, "And if something does? Then you brush it off and keep going. Don't put yourself down over it, got me?"
"Yes ma'am." He laughed, kissing her forehead. "I appreciate you coming here with me. I wish Eiley could come, but if we end up winning, you know it's gonna be a champagne shower back here." Viv nodded, standing up on her tip toes to give him a kiss on the lips. Christian leaned down a bit, so she wouldn't have to stand on her tiptoes, putting his hands on her cheeks.

She giggled against his lips, putting her hands over his, pulling back slightly. "I love you soooo much." Viviana said, kissing him again. "Good luck, kick ass, hit a homerun for Eiley." She smiled, fixing his hat. "You're gonna do great, promise." She let go of his hands, letting him go into the dugout as she walked the opposite direction and went to her seat.

It was the bottom of the ninth and the team was so close to clinching their spot in the playoffs. Christian was next up to bat after Yasmani hit a double. Christian walked up there, taking a couple of practice swings before getting himself ready. Vivi sat on the edge of her chair, crossing her fingers.
"C'mon, baby..." She said quietly, putting her hands over her mouth, keeping her attention on Christian.
Upon first pitch, Christian's bat made that beautiful cracking sound as he watched the ball fly across the field, hitting the bleachers on the opposite end. He had gotten the team's walk off win; The team rushed him on the field, dumping the Gatorade container on him, jumping all over him. Vivi was cheering, jumping up and down in her seat. She left her seat, going to find her way to the clubhouse, making sure she was there to congratulate Christian when he got back in there.
The team started filing in, receiving their hats and shirts and goggles for the anticipated champagne shower. She didn't see Christian yet, but his teammates noticed Vivi was there.
"Yo, Yelich! Your girl is here." Mike called out to him, Christian walked from behind the group and went to Vivi, picking her up and hugging her tight.
"Baby! You did so good!" She said as he set her down and smiled big at him, "You were fucking amazing." Vivi was cut off by Christian kissing her. She smiled and pulled back, "I was so nervous, I was literally crossing all of my fingers, bouncing my knees, I was waiting for you to hit a home run."
He put his new hat on, putting his other one on Vivi's head, "I definitely hit that last home run for Eiley." Christian smiled and wrapped his arm around Vivi's shoulder as they walked over by the team who were circling up, grabbing bottles of champagne. "You're okay with getting drenched in this?" He asked.
"Either way, it was going to be on me." Vivi giggled, "I was awaiting it anyways. Got to do it last year with you, what made this time different?" Christian just shrugged as he grabbed a bottle and popped it open when everyone else did, letting the champagne spurt out everywhere. He was taken for some interviews and Viviana just kind of stood off to the side, getting hugs from the team members who were ecstatic.

Christian grabbed Vivi's arm, pulling her in. "I think a big part of me not letting the negativity get to me was uh, my uh, fiance Viviana. She's been helping me a lot, giving me pep talks before every game, making sure I'm in the right mindset. Plus, I told Eiley I was going to hit a homerun for her, and that's what I did." Vivi smiled up at him. "But yeah, I'm super excited and going into the postseason feeling confident in myself and my team, I know we can do it, we did it last year, we just have to bring that fire again." He nodded and thanked the reporter and looked over at Vivi, then took her hand.
He held her hand as they went over by some more of his teammates who were all just recording on their phones, having a great time. They walked away from some of the team into a corner of the room that wasn't being showered in champagne. Christian pulled her in for a hug and tilted her chin up. "I cannot thank you enough for coming tonight...I really needed it."
Vivi put her hands on his cheeks, "I wouldn't want to miss it for the world, babe. You deserve this and I'm so proud of you." She said before placing a kiss on his lips. Christian kissed back a little bit more rougher then his usual delicate kiss he would give her when he's especially around his teammates.
The guys came around them and poured champagne on them, cheering, hootering and hollering as Vivi closed her eyes tight and shrugged her shoulders up. "I hate you guys so much!" She laughed, shaking her head.
"Y'all can celebrate like that later. As much as I'm sure Yeli wants to get that party started now..Pop more bottles, have fun!" Orlando said as he laughed and went over by more of the team.
Christian looked at Vivi, "Sorry, babe."
Vivi shrugged, "Hey, it's what comes with being engaged to a super star." She smiled at him.

When they got home, Christian walked into the bathroom, starting the shower right away. Vivi walked in there, looking at him. "Mind if I join? Save water?" She asked.
Christian nodded, stripping down and stepped in the shower. Viviana followed soon after, looking at him and then turned her front away from Christian, realizing he hadn't seen her fully naked since having Eiley, which had been months, now. It had been months since Viviana felt confident enough to let Christian love her body, show his praise, let alone even just walk around in a sports bra and some leggings.
He put his hands on her waist. "Why did you turn around?" He asked, turning Vivi back to face him. She had her arms crossing across her stomach. It was flat, not back to how she wanted it exactly, but, you couldn't even tell she was pregnant.
"Because..." She said quietly, "I should've just showered alone..." The two washed the champagne smell off of their bodies and out of their hair.
Christian looked at her confused, "Why? Are you embarrassed? Because you shouldn't be.." He told her, moving her arms. "Babe, you know you're super fucking beautiful, right?" They both were out of the shower, wrapped in towels.
Vivi looked down and Christian tilted her chin up, "You are beautiful. Sure you have little stretch marks, but baby, they're only noticeable if you really mention them or look at your body. Those are expected from having a baby. I know your body isn't where you want it to be at, but trust me, I mean this with every ounce of honesty in my body, you are so fucking beautiful." He kissed her forehead, then her lips.
She pulled away from the kiss, looking at her fiance. She was extremely lucky to have him in her life. Viviana could've fucked up her shot and never got him back in the first place; She never took him for granted or treated him like he was nothing. Christian treated her like a damn queen, and she was going to make sure she gave her thanks.
"I'm so in love with you.." Viviana said, softly, meaning every bit of it.

I Don't Seem So Bright in a Well-Lit Room
The universe is a very strange place. It will take even stranger heroes to save it."Absurd. Existential. Ridiculous. Tragic. Comic. The antiheroes of "I Don't Seem So Bright in a Well-Lit Room" are a kind of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern with space packs, inadvertently colliding with their destinies against a starry background of witty wordplay. With a vision as sprawling and limitless as the loveably goofy universe in which it's set, Browning's wit, wisdom and heart are always at play, combining to form a wonderfully panoramic and very silly heroes' journey that visits every trope of its overlapping genres and draws moustaches on all of them."- Marcel St. Pierre, author of "Vengeful Hank" and "Cliché and Wind Go Hitchhiking".(Sci-fi /Dark Humour/Absurd) *Completed!
