Yes I'm changing up lyrics)
It had been a couple days since Viviana and Christian talked about the ending of their relationship. She was still surprised over the kiss shared between the two, that was the thing going over and over in her head.
Nothing was said on if they were going to work on things again, but, Viviana knew she wanted to. Just didn't know if Christian wanted to. But by the looks of him making a move on her, it was clear they weren't over one another.
Viviana walked in the kitchen wearing an oversized tee and shorts, grabbing the coffee and creamer. As the coffee brewed, she looked through her phone, seeing everyone commenting on her recent Instagram photo and tagging her in Christians recent post. She rolled her eyes and her phone pinged, showing a message from Christian.
😘i wanted to say good morning.
if you wanna come by the stadium before the game today
I'll come pick you up on my way there...
i would love to. I miss seeing the guys.
can we get coffee on the way there too?
😘i don't see why not.
I'll be there in about an hour.
Viviana locked her phone and smiled slightly to herself , grabbing her cup of coffee and walked into her room. She set her coffee down on her desk, going into her closet to figure out what she wanted to wear. It was slightly colder outside as September was beginning. She grabbed one of Christians hoodies she had stolen a while back and a pair of jeans to go with it. She sat down at her desk and started on her makeup when Gia walked in and looked confused.
"Where are you going all baseball dressed?" Gia asked, leaning against the wall and crossed her arms.
"Christian asked me if I wanted to come with him to the stadium, so I said yes." Viviana replies, looking at Gia before looking back in the mirror, blending out her concealer.
"Oh, did he really? He's stepping up and being a big boy, I respect that." Gia said with a laugh.
Vivi just shook her head. "He's taking me to get coffee. I already made some, but, if he's buying me Dunkin? I can't turn that down." She shrugged, applying lip gloss and stood up, checking her outfit one last time in the mirror. "He should be here soon.." She said as she walked out of the room.
"Why are you applying lip gloss, hmmm? Think you're gonna get a kiss?" Gia giggles, Vivi just blushed, forgetting she didn't tell her sister about when Christian kissed her the other night.
"I got one the other night, so, wouldn't be surprised if I got another." She wiggled her eyebrows and Gia hit her arm.

"You bitch! He kissed you and you didn't tell me?!" She exclaimed. "How did it happen??"
Viviana laughed, sitting in the kitchen at the island counter. "It literally just happened. I wasn't expecting it at all, but I'm glad it did. I don't expect that to mean that we're back together. But, I told him I want to work on us." She rested her chin in her hand. "We talked over things, I cried a little, which was expected, and we just said that we missed one another. I guess it was kind of my fault in looking at his lips because it's just a habit thing I did and he kissed me out of the blue.."
"Fair enough. I mean, I'm glad you two are even on talking terms. You needed that."
The doorbell rang, Vivi knew it was Christian; She walked to the door and opened it up to see the tall boy standing behind it. "Good morning!" He said, pulling Vivi in for a hug. She hugged him back, laying her head on his chest for a moment; Just grasping it all in.
Vivi pulled back from the hug, looking at him. "I'm ready to see you kick ass." She said, smiling at him.
"Yeah? In my clothes too?" He poked Vivi's cheek, commenting on the fact that Vivi was wearing one of his sweatshirts.
"Did you think I was going to give you this one back?" She laughed, "You're funny."
Christian smiled and nodded, "I know I am, don't have to tell me twice." Vivi rolled her eyes and hit his arm. "Are you ready to go?" He asked.
Vivi nodded, looking at Gia, "I'll text you later, G." She smiled and walked out with Christian to his car. She got in the passenger seat and looked over at Christian once he got in the car. "So...How are you?" She asked, trying not to make the car ride awkward.
"I'm good! A little tired, but, I usually am.." He chuckled, "What about you? Did you sleep okay?"
Viviana shrugged, "Yeah, for the most part. You know I always struggle trying to have a good night sleep." He nodded, resting his hand on her thigh, causing her to get goosebumps.
Christian glanced over at her, "You got goosebumps.." He laughed, "Not used to my touch?"
"I mean, it's been a bit since you've done this while driving. Haven't exactly been in a car with you for a while..." She commented.
"You're right.." He laughed. "I guess it's been a little bit.."
"I don't have a problem with it, though! If.. That's what you're thinking, because I don't.." She just shook her head, thinking how stupid that comment just made her look.

Christian laughed, looking over at her once they parked. "You're a funny one, it's cute when you start to ramble because you don't know what to say.." He commented, Vivi just rolled her eyes and got out of the car. Christian followed behind, grabbing his bag and walked to catch up with Viviana.
Vivi looked over at him, "This is bringing back so many memories...And it's only been a couple of months.." She laughed, looking at his hand, then back up at him.
"I know, it definitely was weird the first time I walked alone down the hall after we broke up, it was strangely quiet, because usually I was the last one in the dugout before practice and before they announced the team." He shrugged, walking in the team locker room, motioning her to stay outside. She waited outside of the entrance and Christian walked back out and walked into the lounge with her.
Viviana sat down, Christian sitting next to her. "I definitely am happy you're here with me, Viv. Definitely much happier." Vivi nodded, flashing a small smile at him.
She sighed, looking at her hands in her lap then at him, "So, the other night when we kissed..." She started, "Was that a sign as you wanted to work on things again? A kiss out of sympathy? I never really asked you what that was for.." She asked, looking as Christian shifted his body so he was facing Viviana.
"When that happened the other night, I did it because I truly want to work on things.." He looked in her eyes, "I wouldn't just kiss you because I felt bad, that wouldn't be fair to you at all. I want to get us back to where we were, because I miss it, and I'm sure as hell that you miss it too."
Vivi nodded, moving her hair behind her shoulder. "I do...But, we don't have to rush into being in that lovey dovey phase. But, I'm totally fine with holding hands, kissing, whatnot. But as far as being public?" She sighed, "Not yet. Not until we both feel that we're ready.."
"I agree with that. I think that the publicity portion definitely shouldn't be shown for a while. I think that'll help us build our relationship stronger and we won't feel as pressured to be in the spotlight, if that makes sense?" He asked, resting his arm on the back of the couch.
"Yeah, that makes sense." Vivi nodded, looking at him with a smile. "I really want our relationship to be stronger than ever.." She said, grabbing his hand, giving it a light squeeze. Christian leaned forward and kissed her cheek.
As he did that, a group of the guys walked in and starting whistling and cooing. "Yeli got his girl back?" Lorenzo (Lo) asked, laughing.
Christian rolled his eyes, "Working on it." He looked at them.
"Well hey, it's a start." Lo commented, patting Christian on the back. Viviana sat there, blushing like crazy and just looked on her phone.
"Proud of you, man. Making moves." Ryan said, laughing and patted Christian's back as well. "You gonna come to batting practice?" He asked, Christian nodded in response.
The guys all heckled Christian for a little bit before walking out. Viviana looked at Christian, still blushing a bit but giggled.
"What?" He laughed, standing up and stretched out. "I expected that to happen, it was bound to anyways.." Christian shrugged and put his hat on. "Are you gonna come out on the field and watch?" He asked, holding out his hand as Viviana took his hand.
"If you want me to! I didn't know if you just wanted me to chill in here or come with you on the field.." Viviana replied, looking up at Christian as they walked.
"I would appreciate to see your cute face on the field. I'm sure the guys would love to see you too." He laughed, giving Viviana's hand a squeeze as he walked into the dugout with Viviana.
All the guys looked over and were whistling and "wooing" as they saw Christian and Viviana walk in. Vivi just blushed, looking down at her feet. "Viviana! What's the pretty lady doing back?" Orlando approached them and gave Vivi a hug. She hugged him back, smiling at him.
"Thought I would come see my favorite boys kick ass today." She replied, laughing. "Christian asked me if I wanted to come so I said why not?" She smiled, looking over at Christian, who was getting ready for batting practice.
"Well, we're glad to see you back. It was a little quiet around here without you." Lo commented, giving her a hug before she followed Christian onto the field.
"I'll stand back here, I don't want to get hit with baseballs.." Viviana said, smiling at Christian.
"Fine with me, babe. You can even go sit in the dugout if you want..." He suggested, Viviana just shrugged in response. "It's up to you." He said as he kissed her cheek.
She nodded, walking back to the dugout and sat down. For the majority of the time, she just sat on the bench, scrolling through social media while he practiced.
"Hey, Christian, someone's here for you..." One of the guys called out. She looked over at them, confused as to who they were talking about.
"Oh, fuck."

Some time ago, a planes-traveling archmage made up a video game to train some people on the planet Earth for the catastrophe he knew was coming. That game was the Power of Ten. Sama Rantha is one of those characters, and is going to find out that being a Hagchild and having to survive after your Hag Curse fails to murder you at birth is much, much less fun than setting it as your Race at level One on a gamescreen. Join Sama Rantha on her Road to Ten, and letting her Hagmother know exactly what she thinks of her... ------ Warning: This book starts with a HARD OPEN! It was written as an extension of other stories that have not made it onto the Internet yet for National Novel Writing Month in Nov/2018.
