Viviana couldn't manage to get any more words out of her mouth, trying to process what had just happened.
"Hey, Vi.." Christian said as he looked at her, "What brings you here?" He asked, noticing she was wearing one of his jerseys.
Viviana shrugged, crossing her arms over her chest again. "I, uh, just wanted to uh .. Watch a game.." She spit out, "Haven't been to one in over two months. Thought, why not?" She shrugged, looking at him. It was hard for her, it took everything in her not to break down right in front of him or run away.
He nodded, listening to her as she spoke. "I mean, it's good to see you again..." He commented, "Nice jersey too.." He said with a laugh.
Viviana nodded, "Yeah, you too. Uh, I gotta get going, uh, nice talking to you.." She said rather quickly before walking off and was stopped by Christian grabbing her arm.
"Can we talk later? Like, can I swing by your place or you come over to mine after the game?" Christian asked.
Viv froze; It had been two months and he was ready to talk. But, she didn't know if she was.
"Uh..Yeah, I, um just come over after the game.." She stated before Christian nodded and let go of her arm. "Good luck today.." She said before walking off and just walked back to her seat, looking pale as a ghost as she sat next to her sister.
"You look like you just saw a fucking monster or something, what happened?!" Gia exclaimed, Viviana just held her chest, taking a deep breath.
"I was walking in the clubhouse halls, went to use the bathroom, walked out and bumped into Ryan, no big deal, yeah?" She looked at Gia, "Talked, continued walking then bumped into the last person I would ever want to bump into..."
Gia's eyes widened, "You ran into Christian?! Holy shit, how was that?"
Viviana shook her head, "I didn't even know what to say; I kept stuttering like a fucking idiot." She looked down at her feet, "He's coming over after the game..." She mumbled.
"Wait, he's what?" Gia tilted her sister's chin up. "He's coming over?" She asked, Vivi nodding in response.
"He said he wanted to talk, so he asked if I wanted to go to his place or if he could come over. I told him just come over after the game and we'll talk then..." Viviana's hands were shaking at this point, "I don't even know what I want to say to him, G..."
Gia sighed, rubbing Viviana's back. "You just tell him the truth. Tell him how hurt you've been, how hard it's been to move on, anything that's on your mind in regards to the relationship, he needs to hear all of it."

"I just don't know how I'm going to react..I want to yell at him, I want to cry in front of him, I just want to know why.." Viviana said, shaking her head. "I'm just stressing out.." She replied as she picked at the nail polish on her fingernails.
"It's going to be alright, just take it easy.." Gia said, looking at Vivi, moving her hands. "Also, don't do that. I know it's a nervous thing, but, you're gonna be okay." Gia hugged her sister and then sat back in her seat to enjoy the game.
**************
After the game, Viviana was nervous beyond hell; Christian would be at her place any moment now and she still didn't know what she was going to say, how she wanted to start, everything was running through her mind, making her nerves skyrocket. She paced around her room, trying to figure out how she even wanted to start the conversation with him.
Soon, she heard the doorbell rang and she felt her heart stop for a moment. She took a deep breath, walking to the door and opened it up, seeing Christian standing behind. "Hey." She said, moving out of the way so he could walk in. "Good job on the game today.." She mentioned, closing the door once he got in.
"Thank you. And thank you for coming out today." He said, Viviana nodded in response. "Wanna go to your room?" He asked, as they both walked into her room.
Viviana shut her bedroom door and looked at him, "So what do you want to talk about?" She asked, sitting in her hanging chair as Christian sat on the bed.
"I think you and I both know what we need to talk about." Christian said, looking at her.
Viv nodded slowly. "Do you even want to talk about it?" She asked, brushing her hair behind her shoulder.
"Why do you think I came here, Viv? I wouldn't just come here to not talk about our rocky end." Christian said, looking at her confused. "Of course I want to talk about it, because I know it didn't end the way you or I wanted it to."
"I didn't even want it to end in the first place..." Viviana mumbled then looked up at Christian, "Did you fall out of love with me, Christian?" She asked, tears welling up in her eyes.
Christian took a deep breath, staying quiet for a moment, trying to figure out what he was going to say in reply to that. "I didn't think our relationship was the same as it used to be..." He confessed, looking at her, then at the wall. "You and I both knew that. Of course it made me shitty to do that to you, but it was a time where you and I both needed to be on our own pace, it wasn't the same as the last three years prior to it was."

"We shared so many memories, Christian, and you just tossed them away like it was nothing. Acted like what we had didn't even happen, I held on to them, because I had faith in our relationship. I wanted to fight for it, you didn't show the same effort.." Viviana spoke up, biting her lip once she did.
"I haven't stopped loving you, Christian. And I don't think I ever could." Her voice cracked, the hurt was definitely heard. "You gave me the best three years of my life and the fact that it was just gone in the blink of an eye is what kills me. The thought of you with someone else literally makes my chest hurt, because I don't see you with anyone but myself." She looked at her dresser, where the picture sat, and then back at the boy, "We promised each other this was for life..." A tear fell down her cheek before she looked down, hating to let Christian see her cry.
Christian was silent; Unable to formulate how to respond to that. He knew that he had messed up when it came to breaking up with Viviana, but he didn't think the relationship was the same. But, why didn't he fight for it? He didn't know, he was only thinking for himself at the time.
He took a deep breath and exhaled, "You know I haven't stopped thinking about you either. I've seen the pictures of you out with friends and you taking pictures with guys and that's what fucking pains me." He admitted, "I was selfish when we broke up; I thought of only myself and I didn't put your feelings into consideration. I felt that we were just going to continue fighting over petty shit and get pissed at one another for the littlest things."
"So then why didn't you try and fight for it, Christian? What stopped you?" Viv asked, keeping her contact with Christian.
"I was afraid I was just going to hurt you again. I wasn't confident in myself as a boyfriend anymore, Vi. I knew you deserved more.."
Viviana's heart broke hearing that; She always thought of Christian as an amazing young man and an amazing boyfriend. The thought of him being down on himself killed Viv on the inside.
"Christian, if anyone deserved better, it was you. I'm not good enough for you, and I know that. You could have any girl in this world, and you chose some fucking loser." She said, hugging her knees. "You fell for some idiot and you literally could have any girl to call yours. You always have girls falling at your feet; I mean, look at you, you're a beautiful man, you're charming, you're funny, and you chose me..."
Christian got up and cupped her face with his hands, "Listen to me. You are not a loser, okay? You are the most amazing girl anyone could meet, and I am so happy that I met you, shared three years of nothing but love with you, and I fucked it up. It's my fault.." He answered, looking at Viviana who's eyes were full of tears waiting to fall.
"So why did you go..?" Her voice cracked, allowing the tears to fall down her cheeks. "Why did you leave me after all the good memories?" She asked, sniffling.
"Because I didn't trust myself. I wasn't confident in myself, like I said. I didn't want to turn out to be a shitty boyfriend then turn into an even shittier fiance or husband, Vi. I wanted to give you the world, and I felt like I wasn't anymore."
Viviana got up, walking to her bed with him and grabbed his hands, lacing their fingers together. "You are the most amazing person, Christian. I felt like the luckiest girl in the world being around you. I know that we had our ups and downs, and a lot of bumps in the road, but, if we really loved one another...Why did we give up?" She asked, looking in his eyes.
"I...I don't know. It was a heat of the moment thing; My mind spoke before my heart and it got the best of me. I regretted it the moment it happened, but I knew I was too late. You don't know how weird it is to go to the stadium without you and not have you cheering me on. Or being able to come home to you after a long day and just lay in bed and talk about it.." Christian sighed. "I just felt that our love was just fading away and if anything? I wasn't thinking about fighting for shit, I didn't want things to end, trust me.."
"I want things with us to be good again..." Viviana said quietly, giving his hands a gentle squeeze. "I just want to be happy again. With you. No one else.." She looked in his eyes, her eyes trailing to his lips, then back up to his eyes, hoping Christian didn't notice.
Christian leaned forward and pressed his lips against Vivi's. Taking her by surprise, she put a hand on his cheek, kissing him back; Something she missed so bad and craved more than ever.
He pulled back and looked at her, "Uh..Sorry.." He said, Viviana just shook her head and kissed him again.
"You don't know how long I've been waiting for that..." Vivi said, looking him in his eyes.
Christian looked back in hers, just silent for a moment, "It was an impulse thing, I.." He paused, "I missed you a lot, Vi."

Fallout: Vault X
An original novel set in the Fallout universe, written to be accessible to all, featuring unique people and places. Vol.II. out now Fallout: Vault X tells the story of John. A vault dweller, who spent every day of his twenty five years underground. Like his father, and his father before him. Proud to live in the last remaining bastion of humanity, all that survived The Great War of the atomic age. Hidden deep below the surface of the earth, toiling under brutal conditions. Year after year, decade upon decade. All to expand into the natural cave system the Vault occupied, building for the future. However, John knew what his forefathers did not, that everything he’d been taught was a lie. After finishing school at the age of ten, John received his standard issue pipboy. An arm mounted personal computer, worn by everyone in the Vault. Used to coordinate the relentless pace of expansion, needed to work as an apprentice. To learn the craft that would be his life’s work. A noble calling to ensure a future for all that remained of the human race. A quirk of fate saw John equipped not with the crude, clunky, pipboy model his father wore. That almost everyone around him wore. His looked smaller, sleeker, finished in a jet black sheen. And capable of doing far more than its drab counterparts. The world above had been ravaged by atomic flames, yet life clung to its bones. The Red Valley fared better than most in the century since the bombs fell. The clean water and rich soil protected by rolling hills. All spared from direct strikes, for the most part. Life survived here. Trees spawned from charred ground, misshapen, green leaves turned red. Along with simple crops, grown wild at first, then cultivated by the survivors. The scavengers of the old world were inventive, hardy people. All determined to rebuild in the ruins of a world they never knew. In the decades that passed settlements emerged. They grew, spreading along the valley floor. Reclaiming the pre-war remnants of the once industrialised heartland. Salvaging the robotic wonders of a bygone age to build their walls and work their fields. To protect them in the dark of the wasteland. But such things are uncommon in this world, and the rarer something is, the greater its value. And the worth of pre-war technology had not gone unnoticed. The last, real, power in this world rested in the mechanised hands of The Brotherhood of Steel. Forged from the mortally wounded old world military. The Brotherhood used its access to the weapons made for a conflict no one won to strike out into the wastes. Men and women were equipped with advanced armour, aerial transportation, high grade weaponry. Accompanied by the training, strength, and will, to put them to use. They established chapters and set up outputs far and wide. All dedicated to a single purpose. To ensure the technology left abandoned by its long dead creators didn’t fall into the wrong hands. Namely, any hands that were not their own. This is the world John escaped into. A place of horrors brought forth from atomic fire. A place where survival meant battling against the darkness. Fighting a war each day to get to the next. And war...war never changes

Kai Jameson is an average everyday young man. He still lives at home with his parents after having just graduated from college. He loves playing video games and his job at the local Buy More is tolerable. Of course that all changes the moment the system arrives and the Earth is connected to the Nexus. Turns out Kai was trapped in time for about eighteen months while the people already here got a headstart on him. He lucks into being rescued by some people from a town called Donnyton and learns that if he wants to survive in this New Earth he'll have to work harder than ever before. The rewards are worth it. This is Kai's story, the moments of his triumphs, and the moments when he feels that things couldn't possibly be worse. Thanks to puddles4263 and his story The Legend of Randidly Ghosthound for the inspiration on the world this is set in. If you have never read that I highly recommend it, and if you have read it and enjoyed that story then I hope you'll enjoy mine as well. This is the first story I'm ever putting out for public consumption so reader beware on that. Any constructive criticism is always appreciated, simply leaving a half star review tells me that you're a moron who doesn't know how to use words. I'm constantly trying to improve my writing and feedback and criticism on what works and what doesn't is the only way to do that at the point I feel I am at. Last, I just marked all the content warnings because you never know where a story will take you and I don't want to exclude anything (though there will never be a harem). I am going to release 1-2 chapters per week on Fridays. Thanks and enjoy.
