" Where have you been? " Mom asked the moment we arrived at Uncle Mike's and Geremy's villa. We're a little late and the party had already started so mom was a bit mad at me.

" We got caught in a traffic jam " I lied. Honestly we just spent a little bit of quality time with Zach since he's going on a business trip abroad. He also drop us here on his way to the airport.

" If you had gone home last night then this wouldn't have happened. Your father and I are losing our faces here. We had already talked about you coming home with the twins but you are late. " Mom nagged and I just rolled my eyes internally. I didn't respond and just drag Allen and Alex with me to uncle Mike and Geremy.

" Uncle Mike! Uncle Geremy! Oh my God, I miss you. " we hugged the moment we saw each other.

" Oh My! Is this Allen and Alex? They got more adorable than the last time I saw them. " Uncle Mike and Geremy's attention went to Allen and Alex who's silently holding the sides of my pants. Both were wearing a black tailored suit with a navy blue bow tie and each carrying their own gift for their sister aunt. They weren't used to gathering like this so they're a bit shy. This is because back in Chicago, we are use to spend our time just the tree of us. I do receive invites and the company also hosted a few events but I was also never fond of attending these kind of event so I ended up declining and make excuses.

" Brother in law kept saying the twins look exactly like him but I don't think so. I'm really curious, the other side must have really good genes. " Uncle Mike teased. I just chuckle.

" Hahaha he really must have. Anyway we brought gifts for baby Samantha. " I immediately change the topic, revealing Zach's identity now would definitely cause chaos.

" Ahw thank you. I was upset because you didn't visit me at the hospital but this will make it up. "

" I'm really sorry uncle. I was so busy with moving to the new house, last minute enrollment of these two. A lot of unexpected things happened. " I explained waving my hands.

" It's alright. Come on I'll bring you to where Samantha is. She's sleeping in our room right now. " Uncle Mike offered. He kissed Uncle Geremy before we left the crowd and went to where Samantha is. When we arrived, Nicole was sitting on a chair reading her book. Nicole is uncle Geremy's cousin and she's staying with uncle because of her studies.

" Hi Nicole. You still don't like attending family gatherings. " I asked when she noticed us coming in with uncle Mike.

" Sam, long time no see, it's been three years. " Nicole chatted excitedly and run off to hug me before her eyes landed to Allen and Alex.

" Oh my gosh. Is this really the twins now?? They don't look exactly like you. " Nicole teased looking at the two together.

" Because Allen and Alex looks like daddy. " Allen suddenly blurted out causing me to freeze. Uncle Mike immediately look at me with curious eyes.

" Yes, who would the twins inherit their looks if not from me, right? " I said explaining what Allen meant to say but uncle Mike was wise and immediately ask Allen.

" Did you meet Daddy? " he asked the two which had me panicking.

" Mommy said I shouldn't tell. " It took a couple of seconds before Allen replied. I smiled at Uncle Mike but before I could further explain, Alex suddenly talked.

" Mama said, meeting with papa is a secret. " I face palm when Alex just told them the answer.

" Okay lets stop talking about this. Where is Baby Samantha? " I asked changing the topic and walked towards baby Samantha's crib. I heard Nicole laughing at my reaction and immediately befriended Allen and Alex.

" I'll let you off for now. " Uncle Mike whispered while we both stare at the sleeping baby Samantha. I chewed on my lips. I knew I was doomed when he said it.

" Did she ate already? " Uncle Mike asked Nicole earning a yes from her.

" After a week of breastfeeding her my milk dried off so she's now eating from the bottle. The doctor said its because the omegaX drug didn't work too well in my body that's why I had a miscarriage at first. Also explains why Samantha stayed in my stomach for 13 months. If. . . If she also. I wouldn't know what to do. I was very thankful she wasn't incubated when she came out. She was so healthy and nothing was wrong at all. " Uncle Mike wobbled, that I hugged him tight. I know losing a child is really painful because if it happened to me with Allen and Alex, I would have lost my mind. What uncle had experienced has been very tough for him and Uncle Geremy.

" Uncle you are blessed. Everything happens for a reason. The baby is now guarding Samantha as her guardian angel. "

" Thank you Sam. " Uncle Mike hummed and wiped his tears that's been threatening to fall.

After the emotional moment, uncle Mike carried Samantha on his arms and let her sleep on the bed so the twins could see her while unlce and I went to the balcony to talk for a couple of minutes. When I went back inside Allen and Alex were nowhere to find.

" Your mom took Allen and Alex almost a couple of minutes ago. " Nicole informed me while now going back to her book.

" Okay, thank you Niki. " I said as I walk outside.

" Niki, thank you for taking care of Samantha tonight. " I heard uncle Mike said before leaving the room.

When we arrived downstairs uncle Mike left me to go to Uncle Geremy. I went into the crowd worriedly finding Allen and Alex. They weren't used to a lot of people specially Alex who's always by my side. Instantly I found the two when I heard Alex loud bawls while mom trying to shush him. I immediately jogged towards them, when mom saw me she almost immediately gave Alex to me. Her face unsightly, embarrass that she couldn't get Alex to calm down.

When I was a kid, I was a very obedient so mom never had trouble with me. She wasn't so fond of children crying.

" Mom, you know the twins especially Alex don't like crowds. " I fretted swaying the crying Alex on my arms. Mom is now holding Allen instead.

" Nonsense, the twins should start socializing now before they end up growing like you. " Mom clucked carrying Allen away but before mom could march away, Allen also was about to cry seeing the he was taken away from me and his twin.

Seeing this, mom almost couldn't hide her displeasure and put down Allen who run almost immediately towards me.

" take them away from here for now. " mom said in annoyance before walking away from us. Mom and Dad didn't really spend even a whole day with the twins and didn't know Allen and Alex much. They don't know that the two is like this without me. Mom isn't so fond of children from the start so she didn't have enough patience.

" Shhh mama is here now don't cry. " I whispered on Alex who's now have calm down a bit burying his face against my neck nuzzling. I wiped Allen's tears as well which had yet to fall before holding his hands and brought them to a much more quieter place. I put down Alex and bend down my knees to level my height to the two.

" Are you hungry? You wanna go get food with mommy? " I ask both and thankfully both nodded. I held their small hands and walk to the food area were dozens of different food were served. Actually we already had an early dinner with Zach so I expected the twins to look at the chocolate cake and cupcakes at the far corner. Smiling at the two who silently begged me with their puppy eyes, I took a huge slice good for three people and cupcakes before going back to the couch were no other visitors sitting. They were all busy socializing and building connections.

I slowly feed Allen and Alex with the cake before eating too. The two latch into me from both sides while I feed them like chicks and while them also eating cupcakes. Kids really like everything with chocolate.

" Mommy, when are we going to see Daddy again? " Allen asked while busy eating his cupcake.

" Hmmm when Daddy comes back from work we'll see him. " I replied thinking about Zach being away for two weeks.

" When is Daddy comming back? " Allen asked again opening his mouth as I feed him.

" Daddy will be back after a two weeks maybe longer. "

" I want to go in the zoo with Daddy, Mommy and Alex. " Allen demand. He smile confidently after seeing Alex agreeing.

" hmmm you have to ask Daddy because he's busy with work. " I replied. I don't know if Zach have a lot of free time to spare so I can't promise the twins something that might not happen. Although Zach had said he will make up for the times he couldn't be with us. I still think he still might not really be able to spend a lot of time with us considering his identity. He's running a big company and I know it wouldn't be that easy to get a few hours with him even if it's his sons.

" Is mommy not enough? " I pouted.

" I love Mommy but I want to play with Daddy. " Allen said with a sad expression realizing that their Daddy won't be able to go to the zoo with them. I kiss Allen's forehead and Alex's. If it's about Zach, I can't say empty promises because I don't want them getting dissapointed at the end.

" Don't be sad, I'll try to ask Daddy about it okay? " I feed them another spoon of cake while saying this. Seeing their sad expression, I can't help doing everything to make them happy.

The twins and I continued chatting when a man suddenly approach me handling me a glass of champagne.

" Must be hard to take care of two kids. " he commented sitting beside us after realising I wasn't planning to take the champagne from his hands.

" No, not really. They're both wonderful. " I replied still feeding Allen and Alex. The two were now curiously looking at the man who suddenly talked to their mommy. They slightly frown understanding what the man just said.

" hmmm, if you have someone you can rely on you won't be struggling too hard. " he said ignoring my respond. He said it like it has a different meaning making me frown at him.

" I'm okay with my own. " I said frowning at him. He smiled at me before drinking his champagne and while holding another glass on the other hand.

" That's not what your mother had been saying. She's currently match making you with my sister you know. " He said smiling leaning his back on the couch. After hearing what he said, my eyes subconsciously scanned for mom and found out she's talking with a couple of ladies same age as me.

" My sister doesn't like children but I doubt she'll decline with your identity. " He said meaningfully. My eyes shifted to him from mom.

" Even if mom match make me with someone, the final decision would still be mine. " I frowned saying, indicating that it would be useless even if mom introduces me to a woman. She'll get angry at first but they won't be able to do anything about it since I'm the only heir of the Abiñon Company. My parents weren't that generous to give away this title to anyone but me, but even if they were I wouldn't mind.

" Thought so. You don't seem like your into woman. " he added.

" What do you mean by that? " I said raising my eyebrow.

" I think both of us know what I'm talking about. " He stood up putting the glass of champagne in the table across me. " If my sister doesn't work. I could always replace her and I don't think your parents would disagree. " He added again before finally leaving. Whatever he said and whatever it meant. In the end, I still won't agree to it.

" Mommy, what's that man talking about? " Allen ask completely confused after looking at the back of the retreating man.

" That's nothing baby. Come on and finish your cake. " I squeeze Allen's chubby cheeks before feeding him and Alex another spoon of cake.
