《In His Hands (BxB)》Gifts

***Remington's POV***

I wake up and wash the tracks of my tears from my eyes. I might have attended a pity party for myself in the early morning hours.

It is Saturday and I have pack training this morning. I don't mind. Being a part of a bigger picture is a blessing.

I stroll out of my room dressed in my Adidas Trainers, grey joggers and a white tee shirt. My dog tag hangs nestled between my pecks. Each time I remember it, I smile. That was my favorite gift I received yesterday.

I walk into the kitchen met by my Mom. She is a lunatic angel, my angel. I love her.

"Remi. Good morning sweetheart." Mom greets me as she places my breakfast and coffee in front of me.

"Thank you for breakfast and thank you for the party." I offer my appreciation to both my parents. My Dad is at the head of the table. His coffee is to his lips and his news paper is in hand.

Jace and Allison come waltzing in. Both sporting their marks and smiles as bright as the sun.

"Good morning Alpha, Luna, Bestie." Jace sings.

"I see you manipulated Ally into accepting you." I smirk.

"Yep!" Jace high fives me.

"Congratulations again you too. Welcome home Beta Ally." My dad announces.

I smile at the thought. We are a lucky pack.

"I have to get passed my Alpha." Ally whimpers.

"That won't be an issue." Jace grits his teeth.

"Ally, why is your Alpha a problem?" My Dad questions.

"He says I am his mate." Ally whispers.

Jace growls loudly into the air and Kai raises his cackles.

"You must be speaking of Alpha York's son." My dad clarifies.

"Yes Sir, it's Hunter. He says he is my mate. But, Jace is my mate." Ally confirms.

"He won't be an issue dear. We will have your stuff sent over. Your parents are welcome to visit as they please." My Dad explains.

"Thank you Alpha Mathews." Ally smiles.

"Alpha Jamison." Mom kisses Ally as she sets plates down for Ally and Jace.

"Thank you, Luna." Ally speaks.

"No problem sweet pea." Mom sits down for breakfast after helping the staff set breakfast out for the wolves that live in our pack house.

"Remi I found one of your gifts you didn't get to open last night." Mom announces.

"Okay. Thank you." I smile at my mom while I sip my coffee.

Mom walks to the kitchen and brings me a square package wrapped in brown kraft paper. It has a thin Raffia ribbon tied into a parcel bow.

I hold the heavy present and Kai stirs.

I unwrap the gift and look down at the book in my hands. Robert Frost. He is my favorite poet. I open the book and a small note falls from the cover. The penmanship is perfect calligraphy. The smell stirs butterflies in my stomach.

Happy Birthday Remington. I hope you still love poetry.

"What does the note say?" Jace asks.

I read the note and Mom and Dad smile. I lift the note to my nose and inhale deeply. Chamomile and Sandalwood graces my nose in a pleasant, mouth watering scent.

"Did you smell the paper?" Ally giggles.

"It's my mate." I blink rapidly.

"It's a book." Jace deadpans.

"His mate must have sent the gift." Dad explains.

"He wasn't here last night." I argue.

"That book was on the back patio when I grabbed the paper." Mom clarifies.

"I need him." I whine.

"We will find him." Jace promises me.

"I guess we know the Moon Goddess didn't forget you. And, he is male. Just what you wanted." Mom squeals.

"This is a large pack. He could be anyone." I state.

"Most pack members were in attendance. We just have to check the sign in book and cross reference with the pack roster." Dad offers.

"I can do it electronically." Ally beams.

"That would be perfect." I confirm.

"This is the best gift ever. No offense Jace your gift is a close second." I admit.

"We both got the best gifts for your birthday." Jace assuages as he kisses Ally.

Dad brings Ally a lap top and Ally gets to work.

Lutz Fucking Cassidy and his groupies, Lyle and Lloyd plop down at the table and begin making their plates.

"What's that horrible smell?" Lutz grimaces.

"You." Jace rolls his eyes.

"Har. Har. Ass face." Lloyd jeers.

"It smells like Omega and fear." Lutz continues his stupid dialog.

"You're a real ass." I throw towards the dumbest pack member we have.

"Omegas are a blessing Lutz. I suggest you don't disrespect them. There are consequences if I find you harassing one of our members." Dad threatens.

"I wouldn't dream of harming a pack mate." Lutz lies.

I did not miss his careful wording. Lutz is pure trouble. Rumor at school is he harasses the younger kids. I have not personally witnessed it. He better hope I never do.

"Remington is looking for the missing members from his party last night." Dad continues. "Do you three know anyone who didn't make it?"

"Nope." The all three said in unison.

"Of course you don't." Jace glares at the trio of idiots.

We eat our food as pack members make their way in and out of the dining room. When we are finished we head to the training fields.

There is no reason to look for my mate here. Omegas don't train with the pack. Their bodies aren't capable of handling the rigorous physical activity.

I work thru our normal conditioning exercises. We spar and complete hand to hand combat. We run in wolf form as a cardio treatment.

My mind keeps manifesting the Chamomile and Sandalwood scent from the gift. Even without knowledge of his identity, I know he is absolutely perfect.

After training, I shower and swap outfits. My jeans fall below my hips, my tight grey t shirt hugs my long muscular torso and I smell more acceptable.

Jace, Ally and I go knocking on the doors of all members who were unable to come to my party. The shocked faces of my pack members family's made me see a huge issue. They are not used contact with the Alpha family. I don't like that. Every member is equally important. I will make sure to rectify that once I take my position.

We don't bother knocking on the homes of any females. We also do not announce why we are there. There is no point. I should be able to smell my mate once the doors are open, so instead we just check up on everyone.

After hours of knocking on doors we are no closer. I walk away defeated.

"Sorry Rem." Jace huffs out.

"He is here. We have to find him." I plead.

We walk around the pack grounds talking and formulating ideas. This is ridiculous. His scent is faintly all around the outskirts of the pack territory. However, I still can't find him.

I start to smell the distinct scent of my other half. It is not strong enough to be his physical presence but, he has definitely been close.

Guess what pack of goons is closest to what is mine. The fucking trio of terror. Kai gets pissed and wants to shake them until they give us answers. I'm holding my wolf back with all my might.

"Why is my mate's scent surrounding you thugs?" I ask of Lutz The Worm Cassidy.

"I apologize Alpha. I am unsure of what you are speaking." Lutz lets his mouth write a check his ass can't cash.

"You are kicking at the wrong dust, Grunt." I seethe.

"Who is your mate?" Lloyd The Ass Kisser barks.

"That's what I'm trying to figure out." I reply thru the clenching of my jaw.

"Seems like a personal problem." Lyle jeers.

"It's going to be all of your problems if you don't tell us who you have come in contact with." Jace warns.

These slimy excuses for wolves were poking a hornet's nest that wasn't ready to be disturbed.

"Is that blood on Lutz shirt?" Ally whispers to me.

I see fucking RED. Not the blood. My wolf is pushing forward. My blue eyes turn to silver and I could feel my canines extending. My claws start protruding thru my finger tips and my body starts visibly shaking.

I hunch over as my onyx fur starts sprouting and my body starts crackling. Bones are breaking and reforming.

Hot saliva traces the edges of my lips as I spring into the air and I land as Kai.

I growl menacingly and tower above the pussies that stand before me. Their fear is a stimulus for my beast.

"Start talking before he turns you all into dog chow." Ally bellows.

"We have nothing to tell." Lyle lies as his eyes shift between the other two guilty criminals.

I swipe my paw across Lyles arm as a warning. My claws make contact and his blood beads from the three stroke marks of contact.

"You fucking ripped my skin." The bitch whines.

I howl into the air, calling my back up. My Gamma, Austin and Delta, Reid show up in moments. They are twins. Their wolves are both mahogany and their topaz eyes shine wickedly under the sun's rays.

Jace jumps into the air, landing in his chestnut brown wolf. He is a few small inches shorter than me. He is a huge wolf and a sight to behold. His copper eyes twinkle against his fur.

Ally shifts in front of us. Her joggers and t-shirt shred as her honey wolf emerges. Her eyes are a shade of shimmering gold. She is small and muscular. Her fur glistens against the afternoon sun. She draws back her wolf lips in a daring snarl. Venom drips from her sharp teeth.

The three imbeciles are surrounded. Their large black eyes squint against their grey fur.

Snarls and growls echo thru the pack lands as we face off. Five against three.

A ferocious growl silences the ensuing fight. Unwavering authority ripples thru the ear piercing siren.

My dad yells thru the mind link as his towering form walks into the pasture.

Beta Marcus stands beside him, arms crossed. His eyes are focused, not on his son Jace. They are horning in on the grey wolves who are caged in by my packs future rulers.

I shift immediately, naked as the day I was born. Ally turns her head and Mom hands me a pair of basketball shorts. She passes out the stack of laundry she carried with her.

"They smell like my mate." I argue.

"Is that a fact?" My Dad raises his brow to the now human assholes behind me.

"They have his blood, literally on their hands." Ally interjects.

"Marcus, get their parents to my office please." Dad orders.

"Yes Alpha." Beta Marcus agrees.

"Everyone of you, follow me." Dad demands.

We make it back to the pack house and head to his office. We are greeted by Marcus. John and Marley Cassidy, Lutz' parents are there. Lloyd's parents, Mike and Maria Maples stand to the side of the Cassidy family. Lyle's mom and dad, Eric and Jenny Pearson stand to the opposite side.

"Alpha." The parents greet.

My mom stands beside me, rubbing my arm. Her intentions are to calm my wolf. It works minimally.

"It appears you boys ignored my warning this morning." My dad spits.

"Alpha, what is the issue?" Marley questions.

"I warned your three boys not to harass our pack members just this morning." Dad starts.

"Now, I find my son's mate's blood on their hands." Dad lifts Lutz hands as evidence to the witnesses.

"Who is his mate?" John asks.

"We are trying to figure that out." I explain.

"Lutz Jonathan Cassidy. You are in a boat load of shit. Tell us who you dared to touch. Why is our future Luna's blood on your person?" John Cassidy demands.

"We didn't know he was the Luna, Sir-r." Lutz stutters. His eyes are darting across the floor. Our feet must be extremely interesting.

"Oh, that is just digging your grave you ass." Marley barks.

"Who is it?" Beta Marcus demands.

"Talon Williams." Lyle whispers.

"Where is he?" My mom asks.

"Pack hospital." Jenny Pearson announces.

"I didn't know you were responsible. Talon said he was hurt during training." Jenny, the pack nurse explains.

"Training." Lutz busts into a fit of laughter.

"He's an omega. A killer. He is a loser and a liability." Lutz cackles.

Mydad screams. His Alpha timber sends shivers down my spine.

"Alpha you can punish these three." Mr. Cassidy announces.

"I will take Remington to Talon." Jenny offers.

"I will go too." My mom adds.

We set off for the hospital as Dad and the troublesome trio stay in Dad's office.
