《Hidden Riches》Chapter 19

My eyes opened. It was morning.

I felt something heavy laying on my chest. I looked down. It was Logan.

The perfect lips I had kissed last night were slightly parted. He was shirtless, his chest pressing up against mine and his arms below me. I felt his chest rise and lower.

"Logan? Logan?" I said.

He smirked and gave my butt a squeeze.

I yelped and pushed him off the bed.

"Oh! Sorry, I didn't mean to push you so hard!" I said

He lifted his head up from the floor and looked up at me. His blue eyes were extra blue today for some reason. They were darker than the sky.

"Bunny, did you have a nightmare? Is that why you pushed me?"

"You know why I pushed you, pervert!"

He still is a pervert today.

"Liking your body means I'm a pervert?" He climbed back onto the bed with me. I covered my face with the blanket.

"Bunny, stop that." He pulled on the blanket.

"Logan stop!" I held onto the blanket tighter. "I'll push you off the bed again!"

"Will you now?"

"Yes! I will!"

He pulled the blanket from my face. He slowly leaned down and kissed me on the lips. It was a soft sweet kiss. I wanted him to kiss me like he did last night but this was enough.

I looked at the alarm clock. It was 9 o'clock. "I have to leave soon, Logan."

"You could skip today."

"No, Logan. I was already late once. I don't want a reputation."

"It's Friday. No one cares. Come on, Bunny. We could spend the day together."

"And do what?"

"Go on a date."

My cheeks flushed. "A date?"

"Yes, a date. Would you go on a date with me, Bunny?" He looked me straight in the eyes. He gave me a smile.

I didn't know what to say. I hadn't been on a date in 3 years. Peyton and I went on a date the day we met up in college and then another a few months after that. I always wanted to go on more, but Peyton said no.

"I-I don't have anything to wear." I said.

"Anything you wear will be fine. You are already so gorgeous, Bunny. You don't need cute clothes."

I thought of another excuse. "I can't skip today. I have a test today."

"In which class?"

"Anatomy."

"I take that class as well, Bunny. I don't recall hearing anything about a test."

"Ummm... I..."

"Bunny, just go on a date with me. Do you really think it'll be that bad?" His voice lowered. "Do you think I'll be a bad date?"

"No, it's not that! I just... I haven't been on a date in a while. I'm nervous."

"There's no need to be, Bunny. It doesn't have to be romantic if that's what you're worried about."

"No, that's okay. It can be romantic if you want..." I said.

He climbed off of me. "Alright. I'm going to go get dressed." He pulled on his shirt, then left the room.

I hugged my pillow and screamed into it. I'm going on a date with Logan! I can't believe it!

I got out of bed and took a shower. It was a little chilly today and the feeling of the warm water against my skin felt good.

I got dressed and pulled my hair into a ponytail. I dressed in light blue jeans and a pink turtle neck. It was so warm. The jeans were a bit tight and showed "body" a lot more than a wanted them to.

I pulled on my black heel boots that stopped at my ankles. Logan had bought them for me.

When I had morning classes and he didn't, I would come home to something new. I never got to talk to him about it because then he leaves for classes. Although I enjoyed all this new stuff, at some point I would have to go to Peyton's house and pick up my stuff.

I had been avoiding that for 3 weeks. I didn't want to go back. I knew that I would break down as soon as I walked in.

The door to my room opened. "Ready?" Logan asked. He was in black jeans, a white shirt and a black leather jacket. Of course he looked gorgeous in everything he wore.

"Yep," I nodded.

He just stood there, staring at me. I quickly turned away. "Logan stop!"

"The back is even better than the front-"

"Oh my god!" I quickly left out the door and walked past him.

"I gotta buy you more jeans like that."

We went outside to his car. I shivered at the cold. We quickly got in and he turned the heat on.

My phone buzzed in my pocket. Violet had texted me.

Violet: Sup slut. I need you to tell me what we're going to do in Mr. Leaf's class today.

I texted back

Me: Are you skipping?

Violet: Yeah

Me: Well I am too. I can't help you.

Violet: Woah, are you serious?

Me: Yeah

Violet: You're a bad girl, Hannah. Why are you skipping?

Me: I have a date

Violet: WHAT?! You're joking, right? Good for you!

Me: Why are you skipping, Violet?

Violet: That's not important. Anyway, when you're done with your lovely date with Python come to my house

"Who's texting you?" Logan asked.

"Violet."

"What does she want?"

"For me to come over after our date."

He didn't say anything. He continued to look down the road.

"Is something wrong?" I asked

"No, I'm fine." There was a look in his eyes that I couldn't figure out.

I decided to forget about it.

We drove to a small bakery. When we walked in it smelled so good. For a bakery, the color I could see the most was black. The table were small and square. We sat down at a table in the back, away from the other customers.

I looked around. There weren't a lot of people inside. Everyone there was either drinking coffee or eating cake.

We picked up our menus. I immediately knew what I wanted, so I watched Logan as he looked for what he wanted.

His gorgeous blue eyes scanned the page, then flipped to another. He looked up at me, so I looked down.

"Is there something you have to say, Bunny?" He asked.

"No, nothing. Sorry."

"So... you were just admiring me?"

I was about to speak, but the waitress came. She looked at the both of us. "Hello," she nervously said. "May I take your order?"

I ordered the chocolate cake and a cappuccino. Logan ordered a sandwich and a black coffee. The waitress left to get our food.

Logan was silent, staring at the wood on the table. He traced the designs with his finger.

"Logan?" I asked. "A-are you mad at me?"

He let out a sigh and closed his eyes. He opened them and spoke. "No Bunny. I just thought that-"

I immediately felt as if I was being watched. I noticed someone watching me from behind him.

It was a man in a black hoodie and torn black jeans. He had green eyes that looked huge because his skin was sunken in, as if he hadn't eaten in days. He noticed me looking and quickly turned away.

He... looked so familiar.

"Bunny, are you listening to me?" Logan asked, bringing my attention back to him.

"N-No, I wasn't. Sorry. I got distracted. I'm sorry I wasn't listening, Logan. What is it you wanted to say?"

"Nothing. Forget about it, okay?"
