《Gloves And Us》N A O M I

MANIFESTING A HAPPY DAY FOR Y'ALL
We had our breakfast together, and he told me I had to get everything from my place to his.
I had little anyway.
"Get back to my place fast," he pouted while we were in his car.
"Tonight," I told him and reached forward to kiss the corner of his mouth.
"I'll wait here," He said and kissed my lips.
"Wear this," he threw his beige hoodie at me.
I blushed and went back to my apartment and quickly took a shower. The shortest of my life and changed into his hoodie and denim with the shoe.
I remembered the purse was in his car, so, I quickly took the file and phone and ran to his car.
"You've my purse here. I forgot and was searching up there. Sorry, I got late" I rambled.
"You look amazing, Avha"
He turned towards the road and started to drive. Here I was trying not to turn red and he looked unaffected.
He took my hand and entwined it keeping it on his thigh.
Butterfly Butterflies.
I loved feeling his hand in mine.
"Weren't the doctors supposed to send you the information about the nurse beforehand?" I questioned.
"They were. But the mo-" he gulped. "But they didn't." I tightened my hand and gave him a squeeze.
"Where is he staying?" I asked him.
"He said he has a place nearby. He'll be keeping the meds on the table before leaving and will keep asking you about your health"
I nodded.
"Here you go," he said and parked outside my office.
"I'll meet you later," I said and went to remove my hand from his.
But he didn't let me.
"Come on, Car car leave my hand" I teased.
"I won't," he said with a glare.
"And Dare you use that name" he added with furrowed eyebrows.
"Then let me go" he tightened his hold.
He tapped his lips.
"Oh god!" my eyes widened.
"Come near" I motioned to him with my index and middle finger.
"You come near" he rolled his eyes.
I leaned forward and pecked his lips.
But this is 'car car' we are talking about. He left my hand and pulled me to his lap and held my nape tightly in his hold.
I moaned when he bit my lower lip and sucked it.
He was making me a mess. The feeling was too much to handle when I started moving my hips.
"Ahh" the friction caused my panting.
He held my waist, breaking the kiss and I groaned at it. He looked at me intently.
"My girl" he pecked my lips.
I looked around to see if anyone saw what we did.
"Don't worry. People can't see inside" he nodded.
"Or I would have never talked to you" I joked.
"Don't say that" he furrowed his brows.
"I'm joking, car car," I said and sat back in my previous place.
"Anything else you want," I teased.
"Umm-?"
"Shut it. Adios"
"Vale"
I got out.

"Hii, Avaha" Naomi came from nowhere and hugged me. I stiffened.
I don't like people and their touching
"N-Naomi. Get off m-me" I stuttered. I couldn't breathe. The touch was uncomfortable to me.
I didn't like getting hugged by unknown people. I didn't get good vibes from her.
Rida's hug was different. She was sweet to me. She made me feel safe, not Naomi.
She didn't listen.
"N-Naomi," I said a bit louder and pushed her. She stumbled back a bit.
She looked at me with fury. I told her to get off me.

I felt bad that I pushed her, but she should have listened to me. Making my way to my cabin, I prepared coffee for Caroline and handed her to which she again said 'Thank you'.
Surprise. Surprise.
The day went by pretty fast.
But during the lunch break, Naomi again came to talk to me.
"I forgive you" she announced and sat in front of me.
"For?" She made me feel unsafe.
"For? Pushing me. You pushed me hard" she glared at me with something in her eyes and suddenly started to laugh.
"Excuse me," I said and took my lunchbox and left.
I wasn't eating lunch near her. Especially when he made the lunch for me.
She followed me and gripped my wrist tightly.
"Naomi. L-leave me" I said trying to appear tough.
"Avaha, sit with me" she gritted her teeth
"Leave me," I said a bit louder and shook my hand with such force that made her hold weak.
I ran back to my cabin.
What just happened?
I got off from my work and saw him standing out.
I ran and hugged him. I didn't want to leave his embrace.
"What happened, silly?" he asked, stroking my hair.
"Nothing" I shook my head, which was pressed in his chest, muscular chest.
"Talk about it," he said with much confidence and softness.
"Not here. Not now" I shook my head again. Naomi scared me. So darn much.
"Let's go to your place now," he said and opened the door for me to sit. I still didn't let him to.
"Come on, I'm not leaving. Sit" he said and I sat in the car, buckling myself. How was I going to tell him? What would I say? Did I overreact? Am I being stupid?
The whole ride he kept his hand on my thigh and constantly drew circles there. I kept my hand on his to distract myself.
He suddenly pinched my thigh and I hissed at him.
He smiled adorably when I glared at him.
"Let's go?" he asked and I realized we had reached. I rubbed my thigh and got out. He too got out and put his hand around my shoulder. We looked like buddies.
I entered my apartment and turned to look at him. He scanned the place and glanced back at me.
No judgments. No pity. Nothing.
Now that's more like it, my man. I took his hand and made my way to my room.
"Sit" I gestured to my bed.
"I'll be quick," I informed and started to fill my clothes in my bag.
He stood up to help when I stopped him. "No. Don't" I interrupted him.
"Please" he softened his eyes. I rolled my eyes at his antics.
"I just have to pack clothes. Nothing more. Hold this bag. Let me check the kitchen" I said and went there. There was nothing there, since I had not done grocery shopping and the shampoo bottles and everything was empty too.
I didn't have any photos. You need to have a good relationship with people to save their memories. Bad memories don't call for the photo frames. They call for nightmares and a constant void.
"Let's go," I said solemnly. He took my hand and stopped me from taking my bag. Keeping the bag in the trunk, we took off.
"I have this c-colleague, N-Naomi" I looked at him to make sure he was listening. He nodded and I continued. Lord help me.
"She never looked at me. Never talked to me. When I had fainted, that morning she had asked me if I was okay. Till then it was fine, but now she's acting kinda off" I gulped and touched my clavicle.

He took my hand and rubbed his thumb on my knuckles.
"Breathe" he added.
I continued, "She's acting rough. L-like you know, today she just hugged me and I didn't like that. I told her to back off, but she didn't, maybe she didn't listen. I don't know"
I gulped.
"Okay," he said calmly.
"So I pushed her. She looked furious and then during the lunch she said 'apologize', For what? I have no idea. So I excused myself, but she didn't let me. She tightly held my wrist rigidly and had that rage on her face. She scares me, Car car." I told him.
I felt embarrassed, but, I didn't want to hide anything. What if she did something to me in the future? I never ignore my gut feeling.
It's a hard learned lesson.
He didn't say anything for the whole 2 minutes.
This is why I never tell people anything. It made me feel stupid. It was embarrassing.
He parked in the garage of his place and took my hand the instant I got out. He grabbed my bag and he was legit angry.
On whom? Me? If it's me, I'm not talking to him. It's not my fault.
Right?
"Sit" he ordered and gestured towards me on the sofa.
"Shut it" He was angry.
"Stop doubting yourself. First, Nothing was your fault. I'm teaching you defense, from tomorrow. Second, I'll kill that fucking bitch. I swear on that" he used those words for the first time and he looked scary. I don't mind people cussing, but he looked like he would genuinely kill her.
"I accept the defense offer" I nodded at him.
"And shut up. You're not killing her" I told him and opened his clenched fist.
I first opened his thumb and then each finger slowly.
"Fun fact: You can improve your memory when you clench your fists, but you don't do that. You'll be smarter than me and I don't want that to happen. I'm smarter and sharper than you. Let me be at the top of something?"I looked at him.
"I'm smarter and sharper than you" he mocked me in a girly voice.
"I do NOT sound like that." my lips fell into an involuntary pout.
He pecked my fuller lips.
"Of course you are smarter, but I'm the smartest," he said proudly.
"Whatever sails your boat" I stuck my tongue out at him.
"Do you even have space in your giant wardrobe?"I asked massaging his shoulders.
"You have a place in everything of mine" His shoulders relaxed and he sighed.
"Stoppp" I whined and went up the stairs.
"Stoppp" he mocked in a girly voice.
"Oii, my- uff" I turned around to get down for a bag when I collided with his chest.
I rubbed my nose. "Everyone's so adamant at hurting me today," I said and tried to keep my tears at bay. My nose was a sensitive spot. Even a little hit and there were tears in my eyes.
"I'm sorry" He rubbed my nose slowly and checked if I was hurt.
"I'm fine," I told him after a while.
He took my hand and we saw some bruises on my hand.
"Is that-"
"From Naomi? Yes," I completed his sentence.
"I'm-"
"Not gonna kill her. I know. Leave it, caro". I rubbed his cheek.
"Help me," I told him and took him to his extremely wide black collection of clothes. A single man has a walk-in closet, for what? No idea.
He walked to where his hoodies were and slid them to the side.
"You can take away any of the clothes or throw them in the side and keep yours. This closet is yours now. This home is yours now" he nodded and rubbed my cheek.
"I'll be in my office. Come back once done" I nodded and he left.
I took all the time in the world since I didn't have any other thing to do and after half an hour, I decided to go down.
I went to his office and saw him sleeping on his chair. He looked very calm and beautiful.
My car car looked adorable with a small pout in his sleep.
I quickly yet silently shut the door and made my way to the kitchen.
It was time to show some cooking skills to the chef's son.
I looked up for the available ingredients and decided to make
I made sure to make the creamiest mashed potatoes. I had just put it in the oven when I heard him coming down.
He hugged me from behind and kept his chin on my shoulder.
"Should have woken me up" he said groggily.
"I don't like disturbing someone's sleep," I said and stroked his cheek.
"What did you make?" he asked and kissed my neck.
I got goosebumps on my body. Geez
"Oii, are you allergic to anything? Sorry, I forgot to ask you before making it. I can make something else for you-"
He pecked my lips.
"I'm not," he smiled adorably.
"Good. I wouldn't have made anything else" I glared at him.
"You would," he defended.
"I would" I nodded and pecked his lips.
"Let's watch something?" I asked.
He took me to the living room where there was a big TV. I set the timer for my dish and switched the news.
I never liked watching the news. I would read articles here and there they were easier in a way. He flicked the channel back to the news. I saw him watching the news very intently. It was about serial killers. He watched as if he was contemplating something.
"What are you thinking?" I moved closer to him.
"Nothing" he kept his hand on my waist.
The timer went off after a minute and we both went to the kitchen.
I quickly wore the kitchen gloves and took out the dish.
He gave me an impressed look after looking at it. He passed me the plates and spoon.
"It smells heavenly," he complimented.
I turned around and signaled to my back. He understood the assignment and patted my back.
"Don't roll your eyes." I glared at him.
He rolled his eyes again and went back to the living room.
I took my plate filled with food and hit him on his head. I sat beside him and switched the channel to animal documentaries.
It was about lions and lionesses mating.
'If the lion can't keep up with the lioness, she bites his balls' the narrator said and we both slowly turned our heads towards each other.
We burst into laughter.
Jeez!
We continued watching and laughing at the documentary and eating our dinner.
He stood up and grabbed my hand.
"Come," he said and I followed him.
He took me to the corner room on the second floor. It had a beautiful door. It was a Matt dark Indigo door, matching well with the wall.
He opened the door and let me enter. The room was very very big. It had tons of books there. The coziest place I've ever seen.
I turned to him.
"I used to find comfort in books" his voice cracked a bit.
"And now, in YOU"

The Ruined Monks of Rothfield Monastery
Erin is the youngest member of the dark monks; a supernatural brotherhood whose ultimate mission is to improve the dire circumstances of poor, war-torn villages using powers unique to each member. Or so he was led to believe. Erin, like his brothers, does not age, and that is, unfortunately, the only trait he shares with them. He cannot charm or compel like Woodrow, he cannot cast illusions like Knox, he was not swift like Swithin, not powerful like Blake. He was barely an assistant to his dear brother Wilbur, with his herbology and alchemy. He was told to lie low and make himself scarce. That is what he did. The dark monks temporarily reside in abandoned monasteries scattered around the country, feeding the poor and healing the sick, nurturing the monastic lands until it was fertile enough to raise crops and rear animals. As the years passed, they would leave these reformed, repopulated, self-sustaining monasteries and venture froth to help the next settlement. Yet, after years of toiling and quiet servitude, Erin notices that people and the country itself are declining. The villagers look gaunt, the once-lush soil now barren and cracked. He begins to feel disheartened, thinking that their mission is proving futile. Still, their leader Blake is steadfast and charges onward, and lately has his eyes set on a certain monastery in a thick, thorned forest that seems to diminish, even nullify their powers. A thick forest that Erin somehow has a connection to. A thorned glade where an ethereal voice calls his name with one simple request along with a promise:Heal the land, child. Heal the land and I promise to give you sanctuary so long as you stay. I promise to nurture you as you nurture me. As Erin cultivates the land, the land, in turn, gifts all its caretakers with new, enhanced skillsets on top of their unique powers -- skills of protection, healing, and magic. Magic. Erin had long wished to see the world fill with it again. The people, regardless of common or noble blood, still believe that magic will enter this world again. Magic to bless the king like it did the Saints. Magic to dispel the miasma befouling the world. Magic to bring back the fae folk and their many forms. It is up to Erin to forge the many paths leading to a bright future; to build a prosperous paradise that welcomes all races and bloodlines, by mastering the rewards gained through agriculture, horticulture, and animal husbandry, smithing, crafting, and fishing. Erin may also find a lifelong friendship and romance with his neighbor, Claude, if he decides to pursue him, and may even join him in the military campaign outside the monastery. The darkness still lurks outside, after all, and the mastery of his skills, along with a few good friends, may finally be enough to turn the tide in their favor. Most of all, Erin wants to keep the vow he set for himself: to protect everyone and everything he loves until his dying breath.
