《[First Draft] Crystals (girlxgirl) (studentxteacher) (lesbian story)》Chapter Forty-three

"Shit, shit, shit!" I screamed slamming my fist into the wall of my hall. It left a dent in the plaster and my knuckles began to bleed but I didn't care. This couldn't be happening! I punched the wall again, my hand throbbing and shaking - both from pain and anger.
I paced the hallway, trying to calm myself down but the emptiness only reminded me of the problem at hand. I didn't know whether to dare checking the rest of the house. I couldn't see into any of the rooms, which was probably a good thing right now, if what lay beyond was what I expected.
It seemed strange that the front door should be hanging open but the two doors coming off the hall were closed. Logic said this was because the lock had been forced and a closer inspection of the door confirmed it. That only made me angrier. The wall acquired two more dents.
I stared down at the wooden floor. The boards were rough and cracked with only a thin layer of dust resting upon them. They hadn't been exposed for long, whoever was responsible for this had only done it a few days prior to my return.
I ran my hands angrily through my air and kicked the wall so hard I fell to the floor clutching it.
"Shit!" I yelled into the empty house, "why the fuck does this have to happen now!?"
No one responded as I screamed my anger into the otherwise silent air. When my throat began to hurt I stopped and slowly picked myself up off the floor. I drew in several deep breaths to gain the nerve to open the door to my living room. Then I pushed the handle of the door down and let it open completely.
It was empty. Like the hallway, like I now knew the rest of the house was. Stripped clean, gutted whatever word you want to use . I had been robbed. And they'd left nothing behind but the floorboards I now stood upon and the bare walls around me.
I pulled out my mobile and quickly called the police. They said they'd be there within the hour.
Then I made a second call, this time to my sister. I'd need somewhere to stay tonight. This would mean crashing on her couch, she told me but I honestly wasn't complaining. As long as I didn't stay in the shell which remained of my home.
"I'll keep you as long as I can but there's not much space. We'll be pretty cramped," Stephanie informed me, sounding regretful.
That I understood, babies needed a lot of crap. I thought about it then told her I'd call her back.
I'd come up with an easier alternative for my sister but I felt bad for imposing on Lilly's family even longer. Still I had to check, for Steph.
"Hey baby," I said as soon as she picked up.
"Hiya," she sounded happy, "what's up?"

I explained the situation as quickly as I could, then hesitated.
"So I was wondering, if it's okay with your parents, may I stay at yours for a while? Just until I can get some money from the insurance company to buy a bed."
"Oh Jesus Laura that's awful, of course you can stay, they'll probably be overjoyed. Did you call the police?"
"Yes, they'll be here within the next fifteen minutes."
"Would you like me to come join you?"
"I'll be seeing you soon anyway, you don't have to bother."
"Oh, okay." She sounded hurt.
"You can come if you want to, I'd be happy to see you," I told her, trying to make her feel better.
"I don't know, you'll see me soon anyway," she threw my words back at me and I winced.
"Baby you know I didn't mean it like that," I tried to smooth my way out of an argument, even though I was too wound up to do it properly. "I was trying to stop you from having to come all the way out here."
"Don't worry," she snapped, "I got that."
I groaned, I'd worded that all wrong. "Lilly please can we not fight right now? I didn't want you to have to come out of your way, interrupt what you were doing, that's all I meant. Come if you would like, I'll be pleased to see you."
"I will, I'm sorry I snapped."
"It's alright," I smiled into the phone. A few minutes talking to this girl and my mood was so much better. Fuck, she had so much power over me.
"How much is gone?" She asked making me sigh.
"Everything, they even took my fucking carpet. Who does that!?"
"Oh, wow... I was thinking it might be Caitlin," she confessed, "but that sounds way too professional for just her to do alone."
"I thought so too," I rubbed my brow where a headache was pounding, "she didn't know I was going away so it wasn't as though she knew she had time to do it." I shook my head trying to clear it. "It doesn't matter anyway, it's gone no matter what. At least now I can replace that bed, it was getting squeaky."
"Only because we're constantly on it," Lilly teased. She is the only person who would be able to make me laugh after what just happened.
"You're right, we should really go easy on the new one, don't want to break that too."
"We did not break the other one!"
"I'm sure we would have if it hadn't been taken."
"I think you mistake how much I want you," Lilly scoffed, trying to sound high and mighty.
"No, it's you who mistakes how much you want me, I know exactly how much you want me," I said the last few words quietly, drawing them out with my tongue. I was rewarded by a tiny noise from her.

"Don't do that," she said crossly and I smirked to myself.
"Why not?"
"You know why," she replied, pouting.
"I might be mistaken."
She made an irritated noise and I chuckled.
"You know you're not, stop being stupid." I sulked and refused to say anything. After a while Lilly said, "are you in a mood now?" She sounded amused, rather than concerned, so I once again said nothing. She laughed, "you're not stupid babe, you're actually very intelligent. Are you still mad?"
"Compliment me a bit more and I won't be."
She giggled, "what should I say?"
"It shouldn't be too hard to think of something."
Just as she was beginning to speak I heard a car slowing to a stop behind me and interrupted her. "The police are here, I have to go now. Will you come?"
"Yes babe, I'll be there as soon as I can."
"Okay, thank you, I'll see you soon, I lo-" I cut off the call, cursing under my breath. Why had I begun to say that? It had just slipped out, like I was supposed to say it. I couldn't think about it right now, I had other things to concentrate on.
I turned towards the car out of which two officers were emerging. Both were male, one older and greying, the other young and full of swagger. I frowned when the younger, spotting me, scanned my body and smirked, running a hand through his short brown hair and winking at me. I let my face display my disgust but it didn't discourage him, it only made him grin.
"Miss Hart, I'm John" the older policeman greeted me, shaking my hand firmly. "Is this the home?" He nodded towards the bungalow.
"Yes."
I followed them into what remained of my home, running my hands through my hair. The two made their way through the empty rooms. There wasn't much to see, it was empty, as though I was waiting to move in. Before long they were back outside and John was talking on his mobile to someone. The younger officer was talking to me. Or rather talking at me, I wasn't being very responsive. He didn't notice, his eyes too fixed upon my chest.
I crossed my arms and fixed him with a steely glare. When his eyes finally moved back to my face his eyes widened and he took a step backwards.
"Um."
"Do you have a staring problem?" I raised an eyebrow, my frustration and anger at the situation now channelling towards him.
"Wha - no."
"Then why were you so fixated on my breasts?"
"Because they're hot," he smirked. I had to fight the urge to slap that stupid expression off his face. I knew I was going to explode, I could feel it coming. If it didn't turn physical I would be surprised. I was so angry.
"Seriously!? You're fucki-" Another car pulled up, one I recognised. The beautiful blonde whom I got to call my own got out of the car and ran into my arms.
"Are you okay?" She asked, her lips pressing into my neck.
"Not really," I tilted her chin and dropped a quick kiss on her lips. "Although I'm starting to feel a lot better now."
Lilly's face lit up, my own lips forming a huge smile as I enjoyed her happiness. "If I were to kiss you again would that make you feel even better?" She asked, her eyes gleaming.
"It would," I said and her lips were instantly pressing onto mine.
I kissed her passionately; allowing all my anger and frustration to release from my body during the action. She seemed to enjoy it a lot judging by her frequent gasps and whimpers. Every one made me more proud that I was the cause of her excitement, so much so that, when we eventually pulled away - panting heavily- I smirked for a long time.
Seeing the flabbergasted expression of the young male police officer made Lilly laugh and my smirk bigger. His mouth opened and closed wordlessly. Thankfully before he recovered the power of speech the other policeman came off the phone and approached me.
"There will be some forensics done to try and determine who is responsible for this. Until then you should contact your insurance company." I nodded, agreeing with his words. "For now do you have somewhere to stay?"
"She does," Lilly answered for me, her arm wrapping around my waist. The man looked at her arm, then between us with a faint look of disgust then smiled.
"Alright, that's everything, we'll get going now. Good day Miss Hart." He nodded stiffly towards me then went back to the car. The other officer trailed after him, still looking slightly dazed. It was rather amusing actually which clouded how offensive it could've been.
On the subject of offensive, that man. He's clearly not liked the idea of Lilly and I. I don't think that had even occurred to her which made me happy because it meant she was comfortable with me and accepted what this was. And she thought everyone else would too. Unfortunately the world isn't like that.
"At least he had the decency to attempt at hiding it," I muttered.
"What?" Lilly asked, having heard me.
I explained what I was thinking and she frowned, then shrugged. "It's his problem." She then kissed my cheek and tugged me by my hand to her car. "Let's go home baby."
I glanced back at my bungalow once and sighed. That had been home before, now it was a shadow of that. I couldn't go home.
I bit my lip and got into the car. I glanced across and my gorgeous girlfriend. I was wrong, I thought as she smiled at me, I was home. Whenever she was I was home.
I nearly laughed at how cheesy that was. Fuck, I was falling hard for this girl.
We kissed then she started the engine.
