He kissed slowly up my neck and to my jaw. I turned my head to face him and leaned in for a kiss closing my eyes before I felt a push and a rush of cold water.

Then next thing I knew I was soaking wet sitting in a lake, looking at up a frightened Silas and a pissed-off Caspian.

"Sorry sir but I believed she had a concealed weapon therefore I could allow her to get close to you", Caspian told the prince with a straight face. Then he turned his head to me and looked as if he were to kill me.

I was so going to be dead later, but it will be so worth it.

"You idiot, she's my mate!" Silas yelled at Caspian. Silas was about 6'0 and Caspian was 6'2. So, when Silas was yelling at Caspian it wasn't as intimidating as he wanted it to be. "Why would my mate try to hurt me. Honestly, I should just throw you in the dungeons." Silas said as he walked off the bridge.

"Don't throw him into the dungeons!" I said to Silas trying to get up but slipping and falling on my ass again. If Caspian ended up in the dungeons it meant our task was at stake. And Lorenzo would kill me and him.

"He was just doing his job and I understand why he did it", I explained to Silas as he gave me a hand pulling me up from the lake. I rubbed my butt as it hurt from me slipping and falling on It again.

"Since my mate forgave you, you are off the hook this time. However, put a toe out of line and you're out" Silas told him as he scooped me into his arms.

"Put me down this instant!" I told Silas hitting his shoulder "I can walk perfectly fine!"

"No, now stop squiring," Silas said catching my hand.

I looked behind Silas' shoulder and got an amazing view of Caspian fuming drilling holes into the back of the prince's head before he saw me looking. He pointed to his neck and pretended to cut it off and then pointed to me trying to tell me he was going to kill me later.

Being the child that I am I stuck my tongue out and winked at him.

"Stop teasing," Silas said without looking at me.

"I'm not teasing anyone," I said turning away from Caspian and lifting my head at the sky.

Silas flicked my head and said, "Yes you were, now stop moving you're getting me wetter".

Silas didn't let me walk any of the way back to the castle and as soon as we got to his office, he called in the maids and made them change me but, I declined stating that I could do it myself.

Silas left the office after I was changed and told me to leave when I was ready but soon because he had to go meeting with the members of the council and bring them to his office.

As soon as Silas left, I ran to his desk and started to look through the paper. I couldn't let this chance go; I had his empty office for myself.

I flipped through the pile on the left side of his desk when a saw a piece of paper that stood out to me. It was a bill of transactions. There were multiple transactions from an unknown company called M and instead of a location, there were coordinates. I was sure the coordinates were to the troops in the south who were trafficking people. But what struck me as weird was that it wasn't signed by Silas but rather his father Marcus.

I grabbed a piece of parchment paper and copied the information as fast as I could with the spare fountain pen I found on the side of the desk. That's when I heard footsteps leading to Silas's office.

'Fuck, fuck, fuck' I muttered under my breath as I looked for a place to hide. But it was too late. The door swung open and I was met with a very pissed-off Caspian.

"So, this is how you want to do it?!" He roared, but I quickly cut him off.

"Shut up you daff idiot!" I scream whisper. "Look what I found"

I handed him the paper and he ripped it out of my hands. But after looking over it he realized I wasn't joking.

"Holy shit, you might be on to something", he muttered and ran to the desk to get a piece of paper to copy the information, but I stopped him.

"I already copied everything down", I told him holding up the piece of parchment. "We have to go because Silas is going to be- "

I get cut off by the sound of footsteps. Both Caspian and I turn to each other, with our eyes wide.

"The coat closet", Caspian whisper and pulls me by the hand to a door. He opens the closet and it would barely fit me.

"There's no way- "I get cut off with Caspian shoving me inside and pushing himself in after, his chest to my back.

Caspian pulls the closet door shut quickly and at the same time Silas opens the front door and we can barely hear anything through the closet.

I start to move around trying to get comfortable when I hear Caspian hiss.

"Stop grinding against me", he gritted through his teeth and I quickly realized that I was rubbing my ass against his private area.

"Oh, sorry", I said and tried to turn around to face him to change our position.

I finally maneuver around to face him when I realize our faces are close to one another. His nose almost touching mine.

"So, now that you can't run away want to talk about the stunt you pulled with Silas at the bridge?" Caspian asked smirking.

I turn my head away from him and face the door, "I don't know what you're talking about mate. We were simply showing people we were mates. You can't expect people to believe we are truly in love if we don't show affection. Want to talk about why you pushed me into the lake?"

"I didn't-", he took a pause and pulled my chin to face him. "You will look at me when I talk, do you understand?" He growled pissed off.

I simply rolled my eyes. Possessive asshole.

"I said", he said pulling my face even closer "Do you understand?"

I inhaled his scent and felt myself melt. "Yes," I whispered.

'Stop submitting ' I cursed myself.

"Good", he replied as his thumb brushed my bottom lip.

I heard the door close and I pushed myself out of the closet gasping for air. That's when I saw a new sheet of paper on the table. I walked up to the table to take a look.

"Where do you think you're- "

I cut Caspian off. "Holy shit", I whisper.

Caspian comes up behind me and looks at the paper "Wha-". He cut himself off and whispers "Crap".

There were plans for a ball claiming to unite the lost connection between the four-nation, the West, North, South, and East. However, underneath there was a plan of assassination for Weylin and plans to blame it on either the East or West.

I turn to look at Caspian and his eyes are twice their size. I quickly grab another sheet of parchment and copy all the information down as Caspian paces the room.

"Time is running out Aloia", Caspian says as he stops pacing. "But I think it's time you met dear old dad".

I gulped down the knot in my throat and realized I would rather fight a whole army of Northerners with their fire bending than meet with him.
