《The Girl in Red》2

I didn't know what to be more mad at. The fact that I was called a silly little girl or the fact that I had just threatened one of the most powerful men in the kingdom. I was about to courtesy when I realized there was no point.
"Oh" I said in a quiet voice "Sorry for hitting you, but for your information I am not just a silly little girl wandering around the woods with nothing better to do." I tried to speak with determination, but my voice cracked midway through and I saw him stifling a laugh.
"It's okay. You can admit that you were lost, I would gladly walk you to your house" he said with a smirk on his face as he stood up off the ground.
At this point, I don't care if he is the king of Alynthi, I would have still punched him in the face. However, I retrained myself from landing a one way ticket to the dungeon. Instead I explained what I was doing out so late at night.
"I am not lost" I exclaimed, "I practice shooting arrows, using daggers, and wielding swords at night as a hobby. If I did it at home, I would give my father a panic attack from doing such un-lady like things. I have been coming here for the past 3 years and plan on continuing to go here so, please if you do not have any business with me, be on your way."
"Now hold on, if you say you are practicing how to use weapons I may be of use. Go on shoot some arrows, I would like to see for myself." He said as he stood back and leaned on a tree to his right side.

"I most certainly will not!" I exclaimed, "I am not a source of entertainment and I do not need your help. You best be on your way to your prince."
"It's alright" he said with a sigh. "I understand you are shy to show me because you can not use weapons correctly. I guess I was right, you are just a silly, little girl."
He was definitely saying this just to get under my skin and want to prove him wrong. And he succeed. I drew back my bow with my arrow as he turn around and aimed it an inch past the top of his head. My arrow flew past his head, cutting a few hairs at the top of his head.
He quickly turned around with a pissed off look on his face and yelled "Are you mad? You could of my-". Before he could finish his sentence I turned around and aimed for the center of the three ringed circles. In a second, my arrow was straight in the middle.
I turned back to face him and enjoy every second of seeing his shocked face when I whispered to him "I don't miss". I then grabbed my things and headed back home before the sun started to come up and people realized I was missing.

Vampire's Pet
The world had gone to hell long ago, taken over by the vampire race. In order to keep some sort of peace in our land, the Vampire Lords made a consecutive agreement. If you stepped out of line, you died, end of story. Even if the rich were still under their control, their lives were still better than the poor. The poorest lives held a much worse fate. The men were to be put to work as slaves, whether that meant serving a specific vampire, or just building their castles, they were slaves. Memoirs of A Healer/Clinical Social Worker: Autobiography of Bruce Whealton
A loving spouse. A healer. How does this person cope with evil villains willing to destroy everything? They convicted the victim... now how does the victim goes on with life as a healer? As the book opens, I was in a psychiatric hospital following a suicide attempt in December 2019. What starts as a simple conversation with another patient changed my life. Most of the rest of the book tells the reader how I got to this point. I experienced profound injustice between 2004 and 2006. By opening with a story about suicide, I want the reader to understand that the injustice was not just something that happened long ago. This book is an account of all the accomplishments and successes that I had in overcoming tremendous odds and challenges. Growing up, I was paralyzed by shyness and lacked social skills, and so the idea of becoming a psychotherapist never occurred to me when I went off to college. I learned that I could overcome those limitations. I wanted to bring that hope and healing to others. Activities like that make life meaningful and bring me joy. The reasons why I was suicidal in 2019 were set in motion in 2000 when a meteor would come crashing down upon the life that I had built leaving me powerless to do anything other than watching everything burn to ashes - the home that I had, the life I had known, the love I had, my career, everything would disappear almost as if it never existed. In that one the year 2000, I could not imagine things could get any worse. But the nightmare would continue for the next few years... culminating in a suicide attempt in 2019. Now, I am connecting with others, building relationships, and finding a reason to live again. I am writing my own story of my life. I will fight against the injustice of the past and offer my gifts to the world. I have so much to offer. I have quite a story to tell. I hope you will help me to move on with my life.
