When we arrived at the pack house, my dad ran outside, saying something about someone breaking through the border. Seriously now, we just arrived.

"Rogues." Ashton and Josh said at the same time.

"Rogues? Now?" Shit not now. "Did they know we were going to back today?

"Yes now, fuck I don't know if they did, we have a problem. Go inside with Kristin and look for your mom and mine. I will find you later okay?" He gave me a quick kiss and ran off with Josh.

"What the hell." Okay now is not the time to be stubborn. "Come on Kris, let's go inside." I pulled her with me. I looked for my mom and Ashtons mom and found them in the office. Well not really the way I wanted to meet my future mother-in-law. "Hi mom and hi I'm Evie, I heard about the rogues. Are all the mothers with children inside?" Not really having time to do the whole meet and greet now, we will have time for that later.

"Hi, I'm Amanda, Ashtons mom, but I guess that you already guessed that." She introduced herself. "We will get to know each other later on. To answer your question, almost everyone is inside. We're just missing a few kids from the school."

"Shit! What about the teachers, is everyone here, are the kids alone?" I asked in a hurry.

"No, we are just missing one of the teachers as well. Brianna, she just started this year." Brianna? That name sounds familiar.

"Okay, I want a gun, a knife and two guards, I'm not going out there to help but not alone." Amanda nodded and ran to notify some guards.

"What, no you're not going at all Evangeline." My mom said in a warning tone.

"Mom, I know you're worried, but I'm the Luna, I have to take care of my pack." That felt good. "And I'm not stupid, I'm taking guards with me because I'm not going out there alone. Okay?"

"Okay but be careful. Ashton will kill us if something were to happen to you." The two guards I asked for, walked into the room, and gave me what I asked for.

"Yeah, I know, I'll be careful, he will probably kill me when he finds out, well maybe not kill but you get it. We will worry about that later when everyone is safe. Now you guys go hide, there should be a bunker right? And take Kristin with you. I will come as soon as I can." I took the gun and put the knife in my boot. I turned to face the guards. "Come on. I'm Evie by the way. Sorry that we have to meet like this, but I heard there were still some kids missing. I will introduce myself to the pack later."

"Don't worry Luna, it's alright we understand. My name is Malcolm, and this is Jay. We are happy to help." A strongly build guy, with dark hair and dark eyes said. I would be attracted to him if I didn't have Ashton. The other guy looked softer, with blond wavy hair but the same dark eyes, he looked sweet even. I guess we could be friends.

"Nice to meet you guys. No please show me where this school is."

We ran to the school and looked in a few classrooms. Luckily, there were no rogues at the school. After searching a few classrooms, we found none other than the girl who was sleeping with Ashton. The girl that put me through hell. Well, I guess that's why her name sounded familiar. Luckily, the kids were with her as well, and that's all that matters now.

"Malcolm!" Brianna ran to him and jumped in his arms. She looked around and her eyes met mine. "Evie? What are you doing here?" She asked confused.

"Saving your ass and the kids." I said in a neutral tone. Not wanting her to know how I was feeling.

"Huh, wait what? Shit, you are our Luna." The color faded from her face, as she looked like she saw a ghost. "I am so sorry for what I did. I didn't know you were his mate." She tried to explain.

"Yeah well, we don't have time for this now." I turned around and looked at the children. "Is everyone here?" I asked the children.

"I think so Luna." A boy around 5 years old said.

"No, we are still missing Amy." a girl around the same age said.

"What happened to Amy?" I asked the girl as I leaned down to her height.

"She needed to pee-pee, before the scary people got in the border." She explained. "One moment we were drawing rainbows and unicorns and she had to go pee-pee. And the next Miss Bri-bri said we had to hide." She looked like she was going to cry at any moment, and I pulled her close to me.

"Okay Malcolm stay with Brianna, Jay come with me." I said and stood up. We walked to the bathroom and found one of the rogues on the way. Shit, they got in.

"So, you must be the new Luna, so beautiful." He spoke. "Alpha Marco will like you, that's for sure. Maybe he will even share you. I wouldn't mind a ride."

"Why don't you just go back to your so-called leader to give him a message."

"And what would that message be?" I walked over to him, quickly pulled out my knife from my booth and stabbed him in his stomach. He screamed in pain.

"To not mess with my pack." I pulled out the knife. He ran away in pain, probably bleeding out before he would get back to this Marco guy. I heard a girl crying in one of the bathroom stalls. "Amy, is that you?" I asked in a soft tone. The girl came out of the stall and immediately ran into my arms, crying even harder.

"I- I- I Th-thou-gout th-he bad m-man wo-oul-ld ta-ake m-me. Th-tha-nk y-you L-luna." Amy said while still crying.

"You're okay sweety, it's going to be okay. Let's go find your parents."

"I-I j-just h-hav-ve m-my d-dad." She said while hiccupping. Poor girl.

"Oh baby, it's okay, I'm sure he's worried about you." I turned to Jay. "How does everyone know I'm Luna? Ashton hasn't even announced it yet."

"It's an aura you have. Like Alpha Ashton has an Alpha aura, so every wolf knows to respect him. You have a Luna aura, it's like a caring thing. Every wolf automatically feels safe with you." I nodded. "By the way, remind me to never get on your bad side." Jay laughed. "I seriously didn't think you had it in you. You just look like a caring Luna, but you're more like a bad ass Luna in disguise.

"As long as you don't cross the pack, you're fine." I gave him a smirk. "And I was just protecting my pack, everyone would do it."

"Maybe, maybe not. But I think you got the respect of the pack now."

"Yeah well, how about we just get back to the pack house. I don't want to stay out here too long." We walked back with Amy to the classroom. She wouldn't let me go, so I was just holding her. "Come on, let's go back."

When we got back, Ashton was pacing around in the living room. Amy noticed her dad in the crowed and ran over to him.

"Daddyy." She yelled. The guy, who was in his late 20s or early 30s picked up his daughter.

"Baby, are you okay? Are you hurt? I was worried about you princess."

"I'm okay daddy, Luna saved me from the scary man." The man looked up, to look at me and immediately bowed his head.

"Thank you, Luna, for saving my daughter. Amy, what do you say to the Luna?"

"Thank you, Luna." I gave him a nod and Amy a small wave and they walked away.

Ashton came over to us and pulled me into his chest while smelling my hair. He pulled me away a little to look if I was injured, when he was satisfied to see I wasn't he got everyone's attention. "First things first. This is Evie, my mate and you're future Luna" I heard a lot of cheering. "If it weren't for her, we would probably have lost some of our pack today. She protected the children that were left behind at the school."

"Hi, it's nice to meet you all." I said awkwardly. Thanks for putting me on the spot.

Ashton continued "Secondly as all of you know, we had rogues get through our border. We are trying to figure out at the moment how something like this could have happened. From this moment on, we will increase the trainings. Every male wolf from the ages 18 to 50 will have to attend the training. Every she-wolf that wants to attend the training as well, is welcome to join, except for pregnant wolves or she wolves with young children. Also, wolves that work in the infirmary or other important occupations won't have to attend but I or Beta Josh will let you know personally. For now, rest. We are lucky we didn't lose anyone. It looked like they weren't expecting Beta Josh and I to be back. When we know more, we will inform you. Dismissed." Damn that was hot, him being all Alpha mode.

Ashton took my hand and we walked upstairs to his room. We got inside and he closed the door behind him. "Why did you leave? I asked you to stay here." He looked worried.

"Ashton do you seriously expect me to just stay here, when I know there are children in trouble? I was helping our pack." He signed not really liking that I left, but at the same time, he looked almost proud.

"You are right, I don't like it, that you put yourself in danger. But I understand. Just please, if something like this ever happens again, let me know. I was worried about you."

"I'm sorry, I just wanted to help." I looked at him. "By the way, it was so hot when you got all Alpha mode." I put my arms around his neck.

"So, you like me ordering people around?" I nodded and he kissed my neck. "You like it when I'm in charge." Okay is it hot in here? He kissed me again and pulled the skin a little with his lips. I let out an uncontrollable moan. "Do you like it when I order you around."

"N-no." Shit did I just stutter.

"Sure." He sucked at the same spot on my neck. "Don't lie to me baby." He said against my neck as he kissed me once again.

"Fine, I love it when you're being all dominant. What are you going to do about it?" He laughed and pulled away.

"Nothing." He spoke.

"Wait what?" Seriously? "Nothing?"

"Yes, because I'm not going to make the same mistake twice. So, we are going to have a discussion first." He went over to his bed and sat down. "Come here." I walked over to him and sat down on his lap.

"Okay, what do you want to talk about?" I asked curious.

"I want to complete the mark." I looked shocked.

"What? You marked me already?" I was seriously dumbfounded.

"I know I marked you, but I want to complete the bond. I want to be able to communicate with you. Even if we're not standing next to each other. Like today, for example. I want you to be able to contact me and I want to know, feel, that you are safe."

"Okay, I understand. But how?" I blushed, I think I knew how, but I wanted him to say it.

"I mark you again, when we mate, when we are making love and we reach our peak."
