《Mated at first sight》Chapter 17

When Ashton went to the bathroom, I decided to look around the cabin. It was not that small and cozy, it had two stories, ground floor and first floor. On the ground floor there was obviously the living room, with the couch. The couch was in front of a fireplace, which was made out of natural grey bluff stones and looked really nice. I walked over to the kitchen, which was next to the living room. The kitchen was pretty spacious, there was a cooking island with a stove and oven and of course a fridge and cabinets. There was also a bathroom and bedroom on the ground floor, which I guess was for Ashton and me, at least for the next few days. Alex told me the first floor only consisted of a bedroom and a small bathroom, but I'm definitely not going to check that out now. Outside of the cabin was the porch with a barbecue, I guess we'll use that later.
"Is it save to come down already?" Kristin shouted from upstairs.
"You're one to talk, I can smell sex from here." I shouted back upstairs.
"Yeah, well Josh said we should wait a little bit with all the moaning and stuff." I laughed; I mean she wasn't wrong. I am definitely curious now what else Ashton can do, I mean he could get me off, just by dry humping. I pressed my thighs together thinking about it.
I didn't notice Ashton was back, until he stood behind me and whispered in my ear "I can smell your arousal, all you have to do is ask and we can go the bedroom."
"So, I understand you guys need a little more time?" Kristin shouted again.
"Yes" Ashton jelled.
"No" I jelled at the same time and gave Asthon a teasing slab. "No, you can come downstairs." Kristin and Josh walked downstairs. "So, what do you guys want to eat? We brought pizza or we could cook something."
"Is that even a question? Pizza of course. I mean we have to celebrate your last night as a human right?" Kristin said.
"Uhm yeah sure." So true, last night as a human. I thought as I walked to the kitchen. Will everything change in my life. I mean I don't know many people who aren't wolves, so I guess that won't change much. But I have to be Luna, to take care of the pack. Am I even qualified to do so? Who am I kidding of course I'm not? I know nothing about wolves. Okay stop overthinking Evie. Yes, you don't know anything. Yet. But I will learn. I am a good student. So, I can do this.
"Don't worry too much okay?" Ashton said as he gave me a kiss on my cheek "I know you're worried now, but you will be great. I know you will. I mean look how you stand up to me and how determent you are when you want something. You will do great as a Luna; you have protective instincts, and you care so much about people." I nodded and he pulled me into his chest. His scent calmed my nerves and I just can't have enough of the smell of pine trees and rain. "Did you just smell me."

"Yes, I did, and I am not ashamed of it. It's calming. So now let's get the oven preheated so we can bake those pizzas." Ashton laughed.
The rest of the evening consisted of arguing about the best pizza topics. The guys were all about the meat lovers, I mean I get it, it's amazing. But I just love some veggies on my pizza. So yeah, I came to the conclusion, the next time we're eating pizza, we're making it ourselves. So, everyone can just put on the stuff they want. No arguing.
We also watched a movie. To decide which movie we did some rock, paper, scissors, the best way to decide, and I won. So, I wanted to watch Charlie's Angels (the new one of course). I mean it's a good movie for everyone right? It's funny and there is action. We once again went to bed early, so I could have enough rest for tomorrow. Ashton and Josh also gave a small explanation about what to expect. Ashton told me once again he would not leave my sight and that everything would be alright. Well, he is my mate, and he is the Alpha so he would not lie right?
The next morning, I woke up around 6 am. Ashton was still sound asleep next to me and holding on to me. I got out of his grip, which was not easy, and got out of bed. I took some jeans and a sweater and got ready for the day. I noticed that the others were still asleep as well, and probably wouldn't wake up for a few hours. So, I decided to go out for a bit, to get some things for breakfast and clear my head.
When I walked outside, I noticed that it was still quite dark, the almost full moon was staring back at me. Mocking me, although that was probably just my imagination. But that was not going to stop me. The walk back to civilization was about 15 minutes through the forest. Just as my luck had it, the nearby baker opened at 6.30 already. So, I got some croissants and buns. I also made a quick stop at the supermarket and got some juice, fruits, and stuff for on the croissants and buns. As I walked back through the forest, the sun was rising. I heard some birds singing in the trees and when I listened more closely, I heard some water nearby. It looked like it was going to be a beautiful day.
When I opened the door to the cabin, an anxious looking Ashton ran up to me. "Where were you, I looked everywhere for you. When I woke up, you were just gone." He looked if I had any injuries and for clues for why I had left.
"I woke up around 6 am. Of course, no one was awake yet. So, I went to town, to get some things for breakfast." I felt guilty because I could feel how worried Ashton was for me. I didn't want him to worry.
"You could have woken me up, or at least leave a note."
"I'm sorry." I gave him a hug and he put his head in my neck, smelling my scent to calm himself. Reassuring himself that I was okay.

"It's okay." He gave me a sweet kiss on my lips, which made me swoon and wanting more. He pulled away, way to quickly if you ask me. "So, what did you get?"
We all set the table and had breakfast together. After breakfast Ashton showed me a place near the water, which was probably the best place for my shift. He told me the water could have a cooling effect, which could make the shift easier. He also told me that it was going to hurt. He didn't want me to worry but be prepared. He said to just breath through it, almost like childbirth, and try to relax the most, let the shift happen.
The day went far too quickly and before I noticed it was already 8 at night. The moon was rising, and we made our way to the lake. Josh and Kristin decided to stay behind in the cabin, so I could relax more and not worry about them watching me. When we were sitting by the lake, Ashton told me meditating could help with calming down, so that was what I was doing right now.
It seemed like forever later, that I felt pain. Nothing but pain. I couldn't help but scream. It felt like all the bones in my body were breaking. Every single bone, crushing in my body. Trying to find a new place. Ashton touched my hand to try and give me comfort. It helped, maybe a little, but not enough. He kept saying to breath and let it happen, a little while later he picked me up and went into the lake, which did cool me down a bit. The change went so slow. Like every bone had to find a new place, one by one. Why couldn't they just move all at ones. I was sweating like crazy and still screaming and crying because of the pain. Suddenly it stopped and it felt like a passed out.
"Evie?" Ashton whispered. I sounded so far away, yet close by. I tried to open my eyes again. "Come on Eve, you can do it." I felt really weak. Like I wasn't in control of my own body. Once I found out which muscles to move to open my eyes, I did. I first noticed was that I was no longer in the water but laying in the grass beside it. Also, everything I saw was clearer, I could see much further away than before. The colors around me were more colorful if that even made any sense, but to me it did. "You did it Eve. You are so beautiful. Come watch."
I tried to stand up but fell over, Ashton laughed. Oh yeah not two legs, but four. Okay you can do this. I tried to stand up again. I pushed my butt in the air and tried to follow with my front legs. And I fell over again, I heard Ashton laugh hard, and I growled. Seriously, in books they make it so easy, this shit is hard. Okay come on 3 times is a charm.
I tried to push my front legs up first this time and then my back legs. This seemed to work, as I stood up. I looked at Asthon with a proud expression. Hell yeah, I did it. "Good job." He said and gave me a pet, I pushed my head in his palm, liking the feeling of him close by. Okay step two walking. I tried to walk but that wasn't easy at all. Yup I rolled over my head, like a forward roll. Ashton was now crying from laughing so hard. I mean I don't blame him but still give me a break. I stood up and just jumped on him. Well, that worked. He was now laying on the floor with me on him. Who is laughing now?
"Okay, okay I'm sorry, but this is funny. I should have filmed this. But okay come on when you're standing just don't think about it too hard and do what feels natural. Like jumping, that worked." I stood up again and tried walking without thinking about it too much, and it worked. Yeah me. I walked over to the lake and looked in the water. Looking back at me was a red brown wolf. The same color as my hair, well in human form, I guess. I had some white tips on my ears and my paws were also a bit white. Shit I'm a wolf. I heard something breaking behind me and looked. There was Ashton standing in his wolf form. He motioned for me to come with him and I followed.
We walked through the woods for a few hours. Mostly walking as, I was still getting the hang of it, but eventually we ran a bit. I felt so free, like this was where I belonged. The wind in my fur and the smell of the woods was just calming. We made it back at the cabin a while later. Ashton walked behind a tree and came back in human form in some sweatpants. Shit, how do I change back. Ashton seemed to understand my troubles.
"Okay wait here, I will get a blanket so you can change back." He ran inside and not even a minute later came back with a big blanket. He put it over my back, and I laid down. "Okay just think about how you look in your human form. What makes you, you."
Okay this can't be that hard. Just think me, normal me. Two legs, two arms, no tail. Yes, okay that should work. I felt my bones breaking again. It hurt but not as much as the first time. They weren't breaking one by one this time, but more smoothly. A minute later or so, I way laying naked on the ground, with the blanket laying over me. "I did it."
"Yes, you did Eve." He looked so proud and it felt amazing. "Come on, let's get you inside."

Slave 53: The Phoenix
Azgarth is a violent Warlord from a planet where everyone feared him, a man that never lost a battle whether it be from his enemies surrendering or dying. After entering a wormhole, this once infamous man had his memory completely wiped. He was enslaved under the name 53. The great comet arrived one day and gave 53 an extremely rare animal aspect, the Phoenix. Having a rare animal aspect puts people on the fast track to power in this world. Will 53 show the same brutality as his former self? Author: So there will probably be a lot of changes when I start hashing out the whole classes and what not. I'm not planning on this to have statuses or anything like that, but when people 'lvl up' is probably going to be something like ascending 1, 2, 3, etc. With each ascension they are many times stronger, for example, someone who hasn't ascend at all would be at 0, but someone with a 1 would be about 5x stronger than someone who is 0 and so on. It would take a long time to reach each one. With the red colored marks which represents fire, I have a couple ideas with what I want to do, in a way a battle royale, as this continent they are on isn't very large, but all four elements are on it (or more, I might add light, dark, and some others) but all the humans have red, while a different alien race has blue (water), brown (earth), and grey (Air). The color of the mark they have influences how they feel about each other, a example of that would be if a red saw a brown, then they would naturally feel a disgust about each other, and if they killed someone from a different color they would gain way more life essence which is needed to ascend than they would killing someone from their same color. The last thing, I'm not too sure about the main character yet, as I like the whole idea of a memory wipe, I almost think it'd be more entertaining to have the guy slowly regain all his memory, then just becoming his normal self again. If that's the case I'll have to change the title of book. The original idea was this guy would keep the name 53, and his prior self named Azgarth is sharing his body, as in he can talk to him and give him advice on things since he doesn't want him to die since he is sorta like a split personality sharing the same body. Looking at it now, idk if I want this guy to be named 53 forever. Warning: A lot of dark content in the book, especially in the flashbacks.

I'm not an experienced, and don't consider myself a good author in any way. But hopefully some people will enjoy this fiction like I do writing it, regardless of that.
