My last 3 days of normal. That was all I was thinking as I was laying at home, resting, and waiting for Kristin to get home. Who was currently, well you can take a guess, yup at Joshes place. It was Sunday afternoon, and I was just lying on the couch. I wanted to do more, but no, everyone around me was saying I should take it easy. Especially with the full moon approaching, soon. I kind of knew what to expect, I guess. Who am I kidding I'm scared as hell. I wanted a normal life, but what did I get? This. I know it should be excited and stuff but what if something goes wrong?

I was currently alone in my dorm and reading about cell mutations and metamorphoses. How a butterfly goes from being a caterpillar to well a butterfly. I understand that, but I still didn't understand how a different gene could cause a human body to change into a wolf body and back. Do not forget the last part, to shift back. I mean it took a butterfly at least a few weeks to get from a caterpillar, to a pupa, to a butterfly. Or the metamorphoses or mutations from a tadpole to a frog.

Nature is weird.

I took my phone and decided to finally call Alex about what to do to become a pack doctor. After a few rings he picked up. "If it isn't the wonderful Evangeline Cross. How are you? Still feeling okay?" He asked.

"Hi Alex, I'm fine. I just wanted to ask something."

"Sure, although I have the feeling you always just call me to ask something. Like I'm google. But anyway talk."

"Sorry, if it is any consolation, I do appreciate it." I said honestly "But I wanted to know how I can become a pack doctor. I mean I'm already in pre-med now, but I don't think they will teach me about werewolves."

"Uhm Evie, you do know that Ashton is Alpha right?"

"Yes, so?"

"Well, that makes you Luna, which means that is your job. To lead with Ashton, help with the pack and stuff."

"Yeah no, that's not me. I always knew I wanted to do something with biology and now I finally decided I wanted to be a doctor. So now that my life is changing, I want to be a pack doctor to compromise. So, no I won't be some housewife to an Alpha. No way in hell." Seriously do I have to change everything in my life.

"Okay uhm, I guess that this is something you have to discuss with Ashton."

"Yeah, still don't care. So how do I become a pack doctor."

"Although I still don't think this is a good idea, I'll help you. Just because I know you are going to make it worse if I'm not helping. So how about you come by tomorrow and I'll take you to my pack doctor, so you can have a chat with her." I heard that Alex was still hesitant by the way he was talking.

"Thank you, Alex, you know me so well." I laughed "I will see you tomorrow. Is around 11 am okay?"

"Yeah sure, I will text you the address, see you tomorrow. Bye"

"Bye Alex." With that I hung up.

The rest of the day I took it easy. Just studied some more, had some dinner, and went to bed early. Kristin didn't come home but texted me she would stay at Joshes place. I guess she is or already marked or it won't take much longer.

I woke up the following morning from someone knocking on my door. I looked over to my alarm and saw it was only 7.30 am. Who the hell got here so early? Either someone is crazy, or Kristin forgot her key again. Although she is crazy too. I picked up my bathrobe that was on a hook next to my door. I put it on over my pj's and went to open the door.

"What are you doing here so early?"

"I wanted to see how you're doing. I mean I gave you space yesterday since you needed to rest. But still, I do kind of have the right to check up on my mate right?" Ashton said.

"You know what, it is too early to argue. Come on in." I spoke. "Do you want anything? Tea, coffee, juice?"

"Yeah sure, coffee would be nice. Only if it isn't too much trouble." I walked over to the kitchen. "You know what, how about you just take a seat and I'll get us something to drink. How hard can it be."?

"Okay good luck. Coffee is in the cabinet next to the fridge and you know where the coffee cups are right?"

"Yeah, above the stove right?"

"Yup, thank you." I made my way over to the couch, picked up a blanked and sat down. After about 10 minutes Ashton came back with too coffees. "Thank you, I needed that."

"Sure, no problem." He took a sip of his coffee. "So how are you feeling?"

"Just a little tired. Overall, I'm fine."

"Okay good. Please tell me if you're not okay. I mean I can kind of feel your emotions but not as good as if we would be fully mated." I looked at him weird. "We will talk about it later." I gave him a quick nod. Still too tired to argue about anything. I will just give him hell later, just because it's fun sometimes. "So, what are your plans today?" He asked after a long silence.

"I'm going to see the pack doctor at Alex's place."

"Why, I thought you just said you were okay?"

"I am. I want to know how to become a pack doctor."

"Evie, you are meant to be Luna not a pack doctor." He said giving me a weird look.

"I did not ask for this Ashton. I wanted to do something with biology and figured being a doctor would be amazing. I am compromising by trying to be a pack doctor." I explained.

"No Evie, you don't understand. This is not up for debate. You are meant to lead by my side. Help me when I need you, with either deciding or caring for our pups and the rest of the pack. You are not allowed to have another job. That is just not the way this works."

"YOU DID NOT JUST SAY THAT I'M NOT ALLOWED TO HAVE A JOB." Or talk about pups for that matter. But I'll talk about that later. I'm not even sure I want kids, but that is going to be a whole other conversation.

"Yes Evie, I did. I'm sorry but like I said. This is not up for debate."

"YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME. YOU KEEP RUINING MY LIFE" Ashton flinched at my outburst. "I AM NOT SOME BITCH YOU CAN ORDER AROUND." I took a deep breath. "Ashton I am going to be a doctor. If it's not a pack doctor it will be a normal doctor. This is not up for debate. If you don't want that, just find a bitch that will listen to every word you say. Because that is never going to be me." I felt hurt by my own words. This stupid mate bond is keep getting stronger. I wanted him to be happy, but at the same time I wanted to do what I want to do. Is that so crazy?

"I will not find another mate. You will listen eventually. But for now, how about you stay calm and get some more rest."

"Get out." I said angrily.

"What?" Ashton looked at me confused.

"You heard me. GET OUT!"

"Calm down okay. We can talk about this like adults."

"No, you get out. I have to be at Alex's place at 11 so I have to get ready. I would have invited you with me. But I can't stand you right now. So, go before I punch you."

"You are not going Evie. Did you not listen to a word I just said?" Seriously this guy is not serious right now right?

"I'm serious Ashton get out." I said with a dangerous tone.

"No." That's it, I thought and punched him hard. In his pretty face. "What the hell Evie."

"I did warn you, did I not? No go."

"Okay I will go, but only so you can cool off. But you are not going to go to meet with that pack doctor." Ashton walked over to my door and opened it.

"You sure about that." I challenged him. And let me tell you. An Alpha does not like to be challenged. "Watch me." With that I pushed him out and closed the door. I heard him growl, not liking the situation. Well suck it up, I don't like you right now.

So yeah, that brings us here. Me in my car, just arriving at the Silver Moon pack house. I opened my door and walked in. Some people were giving me weird looks.

"Are you lost?" A guy with ocean blue eyes and black hair asked. His eyes kind of looked like Ashton. Never mind why am I even thinking about this idiot. "Hello?" He asked.

"Oh sorry. Hi I'm Evie." I said as I held my hand out.

"Ohhhh you are the famous Evie." I looked at him confused, as he shook my hand. Famous? "Oh sorry. My name is Dylan Jones, I'm Alex's best friend and Beta of the Silver Moon pack."

"Oh, sorry I didn't recognize you. Nice to finally meet you."

"Yeah, you too." He smiled.

"Wait if you're here. Is Maddy here as well?"

"You know my mate?"

"Yeah, I met her one time, she is sweet."

"Yeah, she certainly is." He looked dreamy as he talked about her. I wish my mate would look like that. But no, I have a moron as my mate. "She is a nurse at the pack hospital, so you will see her in a bit."

"Oh, that is awesome, I didn't know." He laughed.

"Come on, I'll take you to see Alex and then we can go to the hospital." Dylan let me through the building. It was kind of like Ashtons house, which was, now that I thought about it, not so weird. It was large and had a wooden frame. I think there were about 20 or so bedrooms alone. We walked through a door which led to main area of the house. The inside of the 'home', if you can even call it that, had a homey vibe. It was clean but lived in if you know what I mean. There was a large kitchen which looked over the living room. There was an extremely large dining table and a few couches. Which all, was not that weird thinking about the size of the enormous house. We walked through another door which led to a hallway with some rooms on either side of it. At the end of the hall was Alex's office. Dylan knocked on the door.

"Come on in Evie." Dylan opened the door.

"Wait how did you know it was me?"

"Evie, when are you going to learn, we are wolves. I smelled you." I looked at him weird and tried as subtle as possible to sniff my arm pits, which let to Dylan and Alex laughing their asses off. "Not like that Eve. Just a normal smell. Never mind, you will see in a few days when you scent is fully developed." He stood up from his seat and walked over to the door. "Now come on, you have an angry mate, so we don't have much time."

"How do you know."

"He called me when you threw him out of your house. Which is, by the way total bad ass move. You threw an Alpha out of your house." He said while laughing once again.

"Yeah, yeah. He is an idiot sometimes." He nodded. We walked the same way out of the house, as Dylan first shown me. Dylan also decided to tag along, probably just to see his mate again. We arrived at the hospital and went inside. The hospital looked normal, small but normal. There was a waiting room, desk to sign in and a few doors, which probably led to either rooms or a supply closet. The man at the nursing station looked up and bowed his head, as a sign of respect, as Alex walked past him. We walked over to a door and Alex opened it. Not even knocking. Inside were two women. Maddy and the other I presumed was the doctor.

Maddy ran over to us and gave me a hug. "Hey Evie, it is so good to see you. How have you been, with everything." Someone behind me cleared their throat. "What is it Dylan?"

"Am I invisible? You greet her first." He said with a pout on his face. Which was kind of adorable if you ask me.

"Sorry babe." She walked over to him and gave him a kiss.

"Please don't kiss my sister in public." Alex said, looking disgusted. "Now Evie, this is Lindsey Ross, before you ask, yes she is family, our cousin to be precise."

"It is so nice to finally meet you Evie, I have heard a lot about you." Lindsey came over a gave me a hug.

"It is nice to meet you too. So, you probably know already why I'm here?"

"Yeah, I do, although I also heard that you are a Luna. So, I don't really understand."

"Let's just say, Ashton doesn't tell me what to do." They all laughed.

"Well than. I studied like you pre-med in college. After I finished college, I needed to find a doctor that was willing to show me how to be a pack doctor. It is like an internship. For me it wasn't that hard to find one, considering my sweet cousin is the Alpha. So yeah, that kind of is it." Lindsey explained.

"So just find an internship at a pack when I'm done. That sounds easy enough."

"Yeah, so you could do it at your own pack if Ashton allows it. Or you could always stay here, and I will supervise."

"Now that sounds like fun!"

"Absolutely not." Ashton said as he walked in the room.
