《Mated at first sight》Chapter 2

Ashton POV
I watched as my mate, who I just marked, ran away. My wolf and I had mixed feelings; on one hand we finally marked our beautiful mate but the look in her green eyes she gave us almost broke us. She looked frightened of us, she was angry at us, she fucking threatened us with a swiss army knife. She could have hurt herself. But she looked like she really hated us and ordered me to stay away. I felt my wolf whimpering at the thought of never seeing our mate again. But I'm going to make sure that doesn't happen.
''Ashton" Josh shouted, and I growled at him. "Yes, I know you're still the Alpha, but what the fuck did you just do." This time I growled harder.
"I just marked my mate, something I should have done the moment I met her." I answered in a calm tone, trying to keep my wolf at bay.
"You know what is going to happen right, you forced marked her. If she's not accepting the mark she could die. If you're not completely the mating process by the end of the month, she could die, hell she could even die from the mark itself. Or what happens if she changes or goes in heat and you're not there. This is not your territory and I don't think the Alpha here is going to happy to have a new rogue on his land. And lastly did you not smell the wolf sent on her, I think she met them already. I don't think she knows it yet but still. This is not good." Josh replied.
I know he was right. And that smell was one of the reasons I couldn't not mark her anymore. They needed to know she was mine. But fuck I need to make it up to her. I need her. I feel like I'm dying inside without her. And fuck I need to protect her. But how, Josh is right, this is not my territory. I did mention that I was coming, but I never asked permission to enter. I just went. And then there is my pack. I need to take care of them, hell my pack needs my sweet Luna Evie and I think she is going to need them.
"I KNOW OKAY, I KNOW I FUCKED UP. BUT WHAT DID YOU WANT ME TO DO? JUST TAKE HER WITH ME, KEEP BEGGING FOR HER FORGIVENESS? THERE WAS NO WAY IN HELL I WOULD LEAVE HER HERE." I told Josh in my Alpha voice. Josh bowed his head in submission.

"Yes Alpha, I'm sorry." Josh apologized "I'm just worried about Evie. She was my friend as well" he added.
"Yeah well, she is my mate, do you not think I would know what the best thing would be to do at the moment?" I asked him, knowing full well he was in the right and I was in the wrong, but still. I am Alpha not him. He needs to know his place.
"Would not be the first time you didn't do right by her." Josh mumbled.
"I'm going for a run" I didn't reply to Joshes statement and just walked off. I know they were friends, but she is my mate. It's my job to worry about her, not his.
I looked around to find a nearby forest. This was another territory, which was still kind of a problem, but I'll deal with that later. Anyway, there should be a forest nearby, wolves always live close to a forest to go run and sometimes go on hunts. I sniffed the air for a forestry smell. When I finally reached the one, I walked for another mile before I took my clothes off, hid them in a bush and shifted into my big dark brown wolf.
I ran for about 5 miles till I reached a lake. I went for a drink and a quick swim. When I was relaxing for a bit, I smelled other wolves nearby. I considered running for like a second, but it was probably no use. There were about 3 wolves coming my way and even though I'm an Alpha and could outrun them, I didn't want any problems with the Alpha here. So, I decided to wait and relax a little more.
Like I expected a minute or so later the three brown wolves arrived, one a little bigger than the other two. Probably someone of status. They shifted back and the one of status, who I think is the Beta asked me to shift. Not as confident as he would probably be most of the time, he could most likely feel that I am an Alpha. Not wanting any problems, I decided to comply and shifted back.
"State your business Alpha" the beta said.
"I'm Alpha Ashton, I'm here for my mate, she ran off and I followed her here. Your Alpha should know about my arrival" I said.
"My name is Dylan Jones; I am the Beta of the Silver Moon Pack. " So, I was right. Nice instincts Asthon. "Which territory you are currently on. So, I guess welcome to the Silver Moon Pack. Could you come with us to our Alpha to discuss this?" The Beta said, who I should probably call Dylan now.

I just nodded and we shifted back. I mean we were still all naked. Wolves are not really cautious about being naked, due to it was just normal growing up. Although I don't really enjoy walking around in human form naked in a forest. So yeah. Wolf-form it is. I also don't think humans would react kindly to four naked guys walking in the forest.
When we arrived at the pack house, Dylan brought me to an office and knocked on the door. Am I really waiting to go inside? I'm a freaking Alpha, I don't need permission to enter. But then again, I still don't want problems with this pack, till I get my mate back.
After not getting an answer Dylan went in to check. "The Alpha is not here at the moment" Dylan said. "If you can just wait her for a second, I will go check where he is." I could sense he felt off asking an Alpha to wait. I don't blame him; authority means a lot to wolves. I was used to it by now. Only my own parents and other Alpha's and some Luna's were not nervous to talk to me. And Josh of course. That guy is not even afraid of me anymore.
"Sure." Was all I said.
"The Alpha is away on important business at the moment but will be back later today. Is it okay if you wait in the lounge? And do you want anything to drink or eat?" Dylan told me.
"Okay, do you know how long it is going to be?" I asked.
"No sorry, I don't. The Alpha had an emergency. So, it was kind of a last-minute thing."
"Okay, I will take a coffee, black, no sugar or milk."
"I will have someone get it for you." We walked in the lounge. The room kind of looked like my pack house. But than again all the pack houses kind of look alike. A lot of wood and a homey vibe. I took a seat on the couch. A few minutes later a girl around my age came into the room with my coffee.
"Here you go Alpha." She said with a flirty tone. I gave her a nod and dismissed her, not wanting any more problems than I already have. Not that I would ever sleep with another girl, except Evie. If she would ever give me a chance. This is going to be a hard few week. Who am I kidding, it will more likely be weeks or even months?
A few hours later the Alpha was still not back. It was now 10 pm. Seriously, what was so important to make me wait for hours. Don't get me wrong, the pack members of the Shadow Moon pack made it as comfortable as possible. I got some steak with veggies and fries as dinner. All brought by the same flirty girl. I dismissed her every time. If I were not in this situation, where I had to keep my calm because I didn't know this Alpha, I would have put her in her place. Probably throwing her in a cell or something. Why are some she-wolves such whores. Like a bitch in heat. I feel bad for her future mate.
In the meantime, I called my father to see how everything was back at my pack. He was currently taking his old position as Alpha. He could survive a few more days as Alpha. I also told them about my situation. To say they were angry at my behavior would have been an understatement. They literally told me, that they would not be surprised if Evie would reject me for sure this time. My mom even told me she was ashamed of me at the moment. Which kind of hurt, but I understood where she was coming from. At home everything was calm now, which was not really normal. So, I assume something is coming.
After my call, Dylan came back to tell me that the Alpha was back and ready to see me. We walked to the office again and Dylan once again knocked on the door. This time there was an answer.
"Come in" I heard a voice. Dylan opened the door, and we went inside. I took a seat in front of this Alpha. He looked about my age as well. Which was not really weird. A lot of guys took over form their dad at the age of 20. "So, you are the infamous Ashton." Okay I guess this guy doesn't like me.
Well, this is going to be fun.
Well, that was chapter 2, how do you like it so far? It's probably what everyone was expecting but still liked to write it. Please keep in mind that this still is not my story so I'm just trying to finish it.
