《Because Of You》Chapter 21

Grace POV:
The next morning I woke up feeling content. As I was stretching I heard the crinkle of a paper. Looking towards my right I found a note. Picking it up, I saw it was adressed to me.
Good Morning Grace, I hope you had a good sleep. I had a great time last night if I haven't mentioned that enough already. I have to leave to a neighboring pack today for a meeting. I won't be in for the rest of the day until the evening. I wanted to kiss you goodbye but you looked too peaceful. Have a good day, beautiful. I'll miss you.
P.S you snore in your sleep.
Love, Arsen, your sexy, handsome, strong, hot mate.
Chuckling at the note, I got out of bed. I did not snore in my sleep. He was just trying to embarrass me.
Shut up Cat.
Moving out of my bed, I grabbed a towel and walked towards the bathroom. I took a hot shower and slipped on a pair of grey pajama shorts and a white v-neck.
I tied my hair into a high ponytail and made my way downstairs.
For the majority of the day Macy and I lazed around and watched movies. Around 7pm Macy began to get worried. She looked anxious and it made me curious. "Macy? What's wrong? You look nervous." I asked her.
"Nobody is answering their mind link. Matthew told me before they left that they'd be home around 5pm. I don't know Grace I'm getting worried." She said looking back and forth from me to the front door.
I didn't have pack links or anything yet because I wasn't marked yet. I also didn't have my phone either. Arsen and I ordered one a week ago but it hadn't come in yet. Realizing that they were two hours late I too began to worry.

Getting up I went to the phone near the coffee table and dialed Arsen's number. I waited and waited but I was only greeted by the voicemail lady.
I began to walk around the room. When I was nervous I couldn't sit still. 30 minutes had passed and there was still no sign of anyone. Only Arsen, Matthew, and Nick went to the other pack so I couldn't ask any of the other warriors either.
No later than 5 minutes, the front door opened. I rushed towards Arsen and the boys, except this time there was a petite girl standing next to Nick. She looked around my age and was really skinny. Had Nick found his mate? I would have to find out later. I ran towards Arsen and engulfed him in a hug. "I was so worried." I said into his chest. Arsen hugged me back for a few more seconds before I pulled away. I saw that Macy was doing the same to Matthew as I did to Arsen. Looking at his face I could see that he was stressed out and tired Moving my gaze down, my eyes caught sight of a red mark on Arsen's shirt and neck. I looked closer only to see that it was a lipstick stain. I was shocked. Is this really what I think it is? My eyes welled up in tears as I shoved Arsen back. I only realized now that his scent was mixed with another scent. It was mixed with a females scent.
He was with someone.
I couldn't believe it. I sat at home worried sick about him while he was out with another girl. Kissing her.
Arsen's gaze moved down to where I was looking and his eyes widened. All eyes were on us after seeing how I had shoved Arsen back.

"Grace it's not what you think." Arsen said quickly trying to grab my arms.
I moved back and put my hands up. "I sat here worried sick about you and you were with some other girl. I hope she was worth it. Go to hell Arsen." I said my voice cracking at the end.
Before I could hear what he had to say, I pushed past whoever was in my way and ran towards my room. I slammed the door and locked it before sliding down against it. Tears fell against my cheek as my heart felt like it getting ripped out.
How could he?
I could faintly hear Macy yelling before loud footsteps came towards my room.
"Grace you have to listen to me. It really isn't what you think. Please Grace open the door." Arsen said pleadingly while shaking the door knob.
"Move Arsen, she doesn't want to talk to you, get lost." A new voice said angrily.
Arsen then growled. "Macy. She is my mate. Don't tell me what to do."
"Okay guys calm down. Arsen go cool down. Grace obviously isn't going to open the door anytime soon and you two fighting out here won't make a difference." A voice who I think was Matthew said.
"Fine. I'll be back later." Arsen growled before I heard his footsteps walking away.
"Grace? Are you alright? Please open the door." Macy said quietly knocking on the door.
Getting up, I opened the door to find Macy and Matthew standing there looking worried. I must've looked horrible with my red eyes and tear stained cheeks but I didn't care. All I could think about is how Arsen could have been so sweet to me just last night, and be with another girl the very next day.
"Oh Grace come here." Macy said opening her arms. From the corner of my eye I could see Matthew leaving, probably to give us some privacy.
I welcomed her embrace and stayed there.
"My brother is an idiot. I'm sorry Grace." Macy said looking towards me sadly.
"Thanks Macy, but I just want to be alone right now. My head is spinning and I want to sleep." I said feeling the day's events catching up to me.
Macy nodded her head in understanding and gave me one last hug before leaving my room.
I shut the door and locked it before walking towards my bed. My head hurt so much and I just wanted to sleep. I didn't want to think about anything for the rest of the night.
I laid down on the bed and no longer than 5 minutes later, I passed out from exhaustion.
