"wow."
was all spencer could say when he saw her.
stepping out of the room with her hair done in the most regal way,
the formal dress complimenting her skin tone,
and a necklace he'd gifted her lying perfectly around her neck,
the diamonds gleaming beneath the light,
y/n l/n was singlehandedly the most beautiful girl spencer had ever seen.
spencer had never doubted his girls beauty before,
but just seeing her now,
he was breathless;
nearly faint from the sight of her.
"wow to you, too,"
she agreed with a shy smile.
"you look...you look amazing,"
he spoke in a breath of admiration.
"thank you,"
she said while placing a kiss to his cheek.
when she pulled back to face him,
she could see that eyes were pooling with enamor.
"we should go. don't wanna be late."
spencer nodded in agreement,
but still found his throat too dry with stun from the girl before him.
practically kissed by god himself,
spencer thought,
just look at her.
y/n took his arm into hers and headed out,
making way to the wedding of jennifer jareau and william lamontagne.
when they arrived,
spencer held onto y/n's hand the entire way,
being sure to let his lips brush her knuckles before pressing soft kisses there.
y/n continuously smiled up at him,
her heart softening each time.
the energy conjured through weddings always made spencer feel tender at the soul,
wanting to entwine his with y/n's to create the same aromatic love that hung in the air.
spencer watched in pure admiration as y/n sipped the sparkling champagne from the glass,
swallowing it with elegance.
"let's dance,"
he suggested,
his palm facing up for y/n to take.
"the spencer reid wants to dance?"

she teased while placing her hand into his.
he laughed and carried her out to the dance floor,
where they began to dance with one another to the slow, soothing beat.
"i'm sorry i've been quiet tonight. i just...i'm overwhelmed."
y/n lifted her head from his shoulder and looked to him with worried eyes.
"about what, love?"
"no-no, nothing bad. it's just....you look amazing and everyday, i find myself thank whoever's above for blessing you with me."
"spence,"
she crooned with a smile.
"you're so sweet. i love you with every beat of my heart."
spencer smiled down at her then gently pressed a kiss to her lips.
she tasted of champagne,
making his limbs hum with radiance.
there would never be a woman like his y/n,
who could make him numb with just a simple kiss to his lips.
"you ever think about marriage?"
y/n asked with a soft laugh,
his feet then accidentally stepping on hers from the abruptness of the question.
"marriage...y-yeah, i do."
"careful, spence, you sound a little too confident,"
she taunted with a giggle.
"no, i do...i do think of it."
"kids?"
he laughed into her embrace,
then kissed her cheek before he pulled back to face her.
"yes. of course."
how could he fight the image of having miniature spencer's and y/n's running around,
their hair bouncing into their eyes like his does,
but their smiles shining almost blindly just like their mother's?
it was the life he always dreamed of having,
he realized.
having y/n by his side with his last name,
having kids they could, too, call child prodigies with warm hearts that would make them the best leaders.
"you do?"
y/n asked in a tone of amazement.

"of course. why is that so surprising?"
"i don't know. didn't realize you thought about things like that."
"you make me think of a lot of things i normally wouldn't, y/n. but you make me want to be a better man."
spencer cupped her cheek as his sentence finished,
then let the pad of his thumb caress the skin against her cheekbone.
she leaned into his embrace,
kissed his palm and made his core tighten with the purest form of infatuation,
then smiled the smile that pulled on his heartstrings.
"everyday is a blessing spent with you, my love."
"glad we're on the same page,"
spencer said with a growing smile.
for what felt like the hundredth time tonight,
spencer kissed her to feel the fervor that often followed the feeling of her softened lips against his.
she giggled as she pulled back,
fixing her now smudged lipstick,
and threading their hands together.
"come on. we've got a wedding to celebrate!"
***
spencer and y/n stumbled into his apartment after one too many glasses of champagne,
their laughs echoing off the walls.
neither of them knew what time it was,
though neither of them cared.
time seemed to stop when they were together,
heightening every sense in their body to create a wonderful experience together that could never be taken away.
y/n's back was pressed to spencer's frontside,
and his arms were snaked around her waist,
where he could feel the mirroring of his own laughter in her.
he then kissed her neck softly,
then her cheek,
then made his way to her temple;
a desperate attempt to express this love swelling inside of him.
"oh my,"
she exclaimed in a breath,
soon collapsing on the bed with her dress spreading around her,
creating the most perfect image.
"spencer?"
"yes?"
"i know i fail to say how much you mean to me sometimes...but never forget how much i love you, okay? i...i feel whole with you around."
"two halves of a whole,"
he agreed,
peeling the shoes off her feet since she seemed too intoxicated to care about them.
"exactly. you're who i want to be with when i exhale my last breath. okay?"
"okay. anything you wish, y/n."
he placed himself overtop of her,
hovering over her to find tranquility settling in those eyes of hers.
"you're beautiful."
"so you've said,"
she giggled soft,
wrapping her arms to meet at the nape of his neck.
"and i'll say it until i exhale my last breath."
y/n flushed at his words then fell into bed with him,
the both of them lying still in their wedding attire.
but it didn't seem to matter to them in this moment.
all that was right was there:
their steady breathing rising and falling in the same harmony,
their hearts beating with the same love they created to fuel their every movement.
it was a perfect life,
and it was only going to get better from where they laid now.
until their very last exhale of breathe.
