"Your Wedding day seems to bring about a lot of good fortune, Mrs. Cullen." A woman's voice said coming up beside Genesis. Genesis recognized her as a friend of the Cullen's, one of the Denali's. Her eyes were a golden, much to Genesis's surprise. Genesis smiled, "I'm very happy you see it that way. It was always my goal bring about happy fortune." She said.

The woman smiled and stuck out her hand, "Kate." She introduced simply. Genesis shook her hand, repeating the introduction, "Genesis." She smiled back. "I'm gonna stand by you and hope your good fortune comes to me. It's been rough lately, and I honestly could use some hope." She sighed.

"I don't know if I'll bring about any good fortune, but I can give you a shoulder to cry on. What's been going on?" Genesis asked. Kate stifled a laugh at the irony of crying on the girl's shoulder. "My sister, Irena, she's been terribly upset recently and it's driving the coven crazy." She vented with a sigh.

"What's wrong with her?" Genesis asked. Kate sighed, "Her mate, Laurent, he was killed by wolves and she blames you and your sister." She confesses. Genesis's eyes widened and she went to speak when Kate held her hand up with a small smile. "Save your apologies, he had it coming. He was wavering on wether or not he wanted to be with us. Irena should be happy that he's gone. He wouldn't change for her, so what use is he if he cannot hold her above his own selfish desires?" She smirked, shaking her head.

"I guess you're right. However, for what it's worth, it was never our intent to kill him. Hell, we didn't even ask the wolves for help, they just happen to be there before he killed us." She explained. Kate nodded her head in understanding. "I'm glad you and your sister are safe. It's nice to finally see Carlisle and Edward happy after so many years of seeing them alone. Carlisle is a good man, you chose wisely." She smiled.

"More like he chose me. Sometimes I feel I don't deserve him." Genesis smiled at the floor in content. "Trust me, just by the way you two look at each other, I believe you both deserve each other's presence. I remember how he was when he left you. He couldn't even bring himself to say goodbye because he was determined to not let it be the last time he saw you. It wasn't fair to either of you, what Edward did, but he was torn." Kate sighed.

Genesis nodded. She knew that it would be hard for him to choose between her and his son. She was happy to know that he kind of chose both, him still being determined to come back for her in the future if Edward didn't realize his mistake. "I hated those times. I'm just glad it's all over now." She smiled. Kate nodded her head, her eyes looking towards the ground, noticeably upset.

"What's wrong?" Genesis asked. Kate gave a sheepish smile, "I just wish I could find what you have with Carlisle. I want to find my mate too." She sighed. Genesis frowned and gave the girl a hug. She closed her eyes tightly as she hugged the girl, hoping that whatever 'good fortune' she supposedly had would rub off on her.

Suddenly, Kate's eyes opened wide and she gently pushed the human girl off her. "Kate?" Genesis questioned. Without a word, Kate spun around, Genesis's eyes following hers. Genesis was confused. All she could see were guests mingling and occasionally a toast here and there.

But then, a man came stumbling in view, frantically looking around as if he had lost something important. Finally, his eyes landed on Kate and he stopped, a smile spreading across his features. Kate let out a breath and looked to Genesis, hugging her tightly and whispering in her ear,

"Thank you."

Thank you?

"As much as I respect Carlisle, Gen is still my daughter, and I won't hesitate." Charlie spoke into the microphone as everyone laughed at his antics. Genesis was now sat next to her husband, soaking in the happiness that she still can't believe she's living, and listening to guests randomly come up and give a toast.

Renee had come up to sing a lullaby that she had sung to her and Bella, and everything seemed to be more light hearted from there rather than an actual congratulations.

"The day I first met you and Bella was quite strange. I had a," Edward stopped for a moment, trying to find a good word to say rather than 'intense longing for your sister' "on Bella, yet I was too to talk to her. I appreciate your help and understanding. You've become quite close to my family, and I'm more than happy that you're apart of it now." He smiled.

"I swear if one of them calls me mom while in front of my parents I'm gonna ground them." Genesis huffed. Carlisle rose an eyebrow at her and laughed at the irony.

"Ah, mom," Emmett started, his wine glass half full as if he had been drinking it. Genesis narrowed her eyes at the boy. "What can I say that hasn't already been said? You are the best thing that has ever happened to our family. You've helped us through so much and I am so happy that you're officially apart of the family." He smiled his toothy grin and held up his drink, stepping down from the platform, Rose taking his place.

"I never thought I'd be so close to someone outside of my family until I met you." She started, "You have changed all of our lives for the better. You gave me a hope, strength, friendship, and that's all I could have ever asked for. I'm glad my father found you, because I can't imagine our lives without you in it. I love you, mom." Genesis cried as she watched Rosalie walk off, soon replaced by Alice.

"I would be lying if I said I didn't see my father and Genesis getting together. I have never seen two people so right for each other. You complete each other well, and I can't wait to see what's to come. I love you both!" She smiled. Genesis held back a snort from Alice's blatant irony, Carlisle chuckling beside her. Shaking her head, she looked back to the stage to see Jasper.

"These two have given me more than I could ever count. You're both so generous and kind and I could never thank you enough for all you have done for me. I can't thank of anyone else good enough for my father. You're one of a kind, mom." Jasper smiled at Genesis as tears weld up in her eyes.

"It's quite extraordinary that my father and Genesis met by chance. They come from two different worlds, yet they still managed to find each other. I've watched them go through good times and bad times, and still pull through. I've never seen a couple so in love. I hope for happy days between these two. Forever and beyond. I love you, mom." Edward's speech was the one that broke Genesis. Tears went freely down her smiling face. Thankfully, Alice had been prepared and put waterproof mascara on her.

Nothing could ruin this.

"Carlisle, this place is amazing!" Genesis exclaimed. The couple were off on their honeymoon and Carlisle had surprised Genesis with an island resort he had bought. "I don't know what to say! Thank you!" Genesis smiled wide and jumped on the man, crushing him with a hug. "Of course my dear, anything for my lovely wife." He said, a smile spread across his face, beaming with joy.

Genesis pulled back and kissed the man passionately, a kiss he returned just as eagerly. However, the kiss grew more and more heated as they continued. Carlisle picked the girl up and she locked her legs around his waist as her back hit the wall, their kiss never breaking. Carlisle's hands roamed her body as her hands got tangled in his hair.

Carlisle broke the kiss, his face only an inch away as he spoke, "Do you trust me?" He asked, not wanting to go too far too soon. Genesis smiled and gave him a quick kiss before answering,

"With my life."
