The final exams of the year had started, slowly going into the final school term.

Luca, who wasn't doing any exams was trying his best to support Ashton and Benji through it.

Betsy still hadn't said much, she only ever nodded her head when Luca would wish her luck for her exams.

Sighing, Luca leaned back against the couch, watching Benji jot down some notes in the book that was sitting in his lap.

"Are you really that bored?" Benji asked with a chuckle, slightly glancing up.

Luca shrugged and bit his lip, "A little."

Rolling his eyes, Benji placed down the book on the coffee table and turned his position so he was facing Luca.

"Okay I'm taking a ten minute break," Benji said, sinking further into the couch.

"You took a ten minute break ten minutes ago," Luca noted, lifting an eyebrow, "Why are you even here anyway? Like you come to my house to study? It doesn't make sense."

Benji snickered under his breath, "Because I thought hey, maybe Luca who is my best buddy, is lonely so why not come over and chill with him. Except my politics and law study needs to be done. So like killing two birds with one stone, you know what I mean?"

Luca shook his head in laughter, "Okay whatever you say."

Silence washed over the two boys for a moment before Benji decided to speak up again, his voice slightly nervous.

"Can I ask you a question?" he asked, running a hand through his black curls.

"Sure," Luca said.

Benji glanced away, "What do you want to do? Like after we're done with school."

Luca felt his mind flash back to a somewhat similar question asked of him by Ashton the night they kissed for the first time.

His answer then was the same now.

"I-I don't know," he mumbled, knowing something like this was crucial in realising at a time nearing graduation.

"There's nothing that interests you?" Benji questioned.

Luca just shook his head, "I know it's bad that I don't really care too much about my future but I can't think of anything i'd genuinely want to do."

He hated feeling like this, but the amount of motivation Luca lacked for almost everything was slightly worrying. He didn't want to get a job, he didn't want to go to university, he just didn't know what the hell he wanted to do with his life.

Benji sent him a sad smile, "Maybe one day you'll figure it out."

"I hope so. All I like is reading and you can't really get a job as a reader, though that would be a dream."

"Why don't you write then?" Benji asked, leaning forward, "Write a book."

Luca let out a laugh, "I can't do that. I don't have the patience to write a book."

"You won't know until you try," Benji said, trying to help Luca in getting somewhere.

Luca just shrugged and switched around the question, "What about you?"

Benji sent Luca a wide grin, his pearly white teeth on display.

"You already know babe. I'm going to study criminal psychology at university," he said with a wink.

"You'll be great," Luca smiled.

"I'm sure you will be too if you'd just try a little more things," Benji replied, leaning down to pick up his book and pen again.

Luca released a heavy sigh and watched mindlessly as Benji began his study again.
