Ashton drove off in the direction of Luca and Betsy's house. A million questions swarmed his mind and Luca's expression of determination was gradually becoming slightly frightening.

"...Uhh, do you want to explain what exactly we are doing?" he finally asked.

Luca shot his head towards him, but Ashton had his gaze focused on the road, only sending a few curious glances at Luca.

"We're going to talk."

Ashton furrowed his eyebrows, "Yeah uh I got that part. About what?"

"About us," Luca mumbled, and Ashton's eyebrows shot up in surprise.

"You saying there's still an us?" he asked, a grin spreading over his face.

"Stop grinning, keep your attention on the road," Luca snarkily replied.

Yet Ashton's grin only grew wider, and he wanted to comment something else but then it all dawned on him.

Luca wanted to tell Betsy.

Something didn't sit right in him, "You sure this is a good idea?" he asked hesitantly.

"Yes, I've been thinking about it this past week. Would you rather us lie to her for who knows how long?"

Ashton turned to face him when the lights flashed red, "Wait.. You're doing this for me..? So you can be with me without having to lie to Betsy..?"

Luca shrugged calmly, "Yes and no. Also because I think she deserves the truth, even she hates me because of it."

Ashton nodded and set off driving again when the light turned green. Before they knew it, they were pulling into Luca's driveway.

"Wait," Ashton said, stopping Luca before he got out of the car, "Did you walk to the school to see me?"

Luca's eyebrows furrowed in confusion but he nodded anyway, "Um yes..?"

"In the dark?"

"Yes."

Ashton tightetned his grip on Luca's arm and pulled him closer so their faces were inches away.

"Don't ever do that again," Ashton mumbled before releasing his hold on him and moving to unlock the doors.

Luca smiled a little as both boys opened the car doors and got out. They made their way to the front door.

Ashton could almost hear Luca's heart pounding next to him and he figured he was nervous. So, he reached out and intertwined their fingers, both boys sharing a fond smile.

Their joined hands didn't last long when Luca had to use his hands to fish out his set of keys in his pocket.

When he found them, he took a deep breath and inserted the house key into a lock.

Both boys fell silent, preparing themselves for what ever could happen when they stepped inside the house.

Luca unlocked the door and swung it open, immediately entering into a dark house but he noticed Betsy's light turned on from down the hallway.

Luca lead the way to her bedroom, Ashton beginning to feel guilty for what Betsy was about to find out.

Luca knocked on the door and a couple moments later, Betsy was standing in front of her brother and ex-crush.

"What the...?" she grumbled, eyeing Ashton with disgust.

"Hi," Luca butted in, "May we come in?"

Betsy turned to her brother, a confused expression taking over her face and she silently asked him what was going on.

When he averted his eyes down and didn't say anything, she spoke up.

"No."

And then, she slammed the door in their faces.
