Ashton smiled, took Luca's hand in his and dragged him through the park until they were awe-struck by the view that presented itself over the hill.

"Don't be sorry," Ashton whispered under his breath, "Just enjoy."

Luca felt Ashton's hand squeeze his gently and his mind told him to let go, but his heart was speaking an entirely different language.

It was telling him to embrace into the contact, feel all the tingles and the butterflies.

"Are you scared?" Ashton asked.

"Yes," Luca replied, "But there's a pleasure in it. It's a scare I have to overcome in order to be me."

"So, we'll be scared together."

Luca gazed over to the other boy, a smile spreading over his lips and he felt his eyes almost tear up.

"Yeah, together."

It was silent for a moment, both boys accepting and understanding the situation in a raw, beautiful sort of way.

"Can I kiss you?" Ashton questioned timidly, turning and meeting Luca's gaze.

Luca's lips parted and he stated up at Ashton for a second. He admired his messy blond hair that fell all over his forehead and his eyes that sparked specks of dark blue.

And his soft pink lips waiting for an answer.

"Yes."

Ashton leaned forward and met their lips in bliss, their hearts beating in sync and their thoughts losing sense.

They moved their lips together with gentle care, softly engulfing in the kiss that was near close to pure and far from anything but.

It was delicate and pretty, and unlike the previous two kisses the boys had shared. Because this one was real, and it meant so much more.

"Be my boyfriend," Ashton said when they broke away from the kiss.

Luca's eyes widened, "Too fast."

Ashton nodded, cracking a grin, "Yeah you're right, too fast. A date then?"

Luca looked around the park, breathing in the aroma of the never ending amount of flowers.

"This might just be a date already..."

Ashton smiled even wider at that, his fingers moving to cup Luca's face.

"And how many dates will it take you to be my boyfriend?"

Luca smiled brightly, "Ehh I don't know, ten maybe?"

"Ten? Alright princess whatever you want," Ashton said, bringing Luca's face close to his.

Luca laughed and pushed Ashton off of him, scowling at the nickname.

"Don't call me that."

"Well I'd rather call you my boyfriend but you're kinda making it hard for me..." Ashton responded, his eyes glistening with humour.

Luca huffed and folded his arms over his stomach. He looked away, the trace of his smile still intact and seemingly, never leaving.

"Fine," he grumbled, "I'll be your boyfriend."

Ashton let out a laugh, "Oh I don't know Luca. It's a little too fast don't you think?"

"Fuck off," Luca immediately replied, shoving Ashton in the shoulder.

"I get it though. It's a big ask, don't say yes if you're still not ready yet."

Luca pondered on Ashton's words for a moment, his eyebrows forming a small frown.

"I've had three weeks to figure out if I'm ready or not. And I am. Like I said, scared—but ready," Luca explained.

Ashton sighed and pulled the boy back into contact with his body.

"Okay because this is official now. There's no turning back," Ashton said softly.

They stayed in the park for an extra hour or so, drowning into the proximity and touch of the other.

It was perfect and it was a reality.
