When Friday rolled around, and school had finished for the day—Luca and Ashton were fighting over who got to sit in the passenger seat of Benji's car.
It was a stupid, pointless argument, both boys knew that but Luca was adament on not backing out and Ashton kind of just really wanted Luca's attention on him.
Ashton was just about to give in and allow Luca to take the seat when Benji piped in.
"You guys have been arguing for the past ten minutes, so you're both sitting in the back. Together," he demanded, ushering them over to the backseat door.
"Oh no, Ashton can sit in the front, that's fine!" Luca quickly said, not wanting to have to sit with Ashton.
"My car, my rules. Both of you in the back now," Benji exclaimed, opening the car door and pushing them both in.
Luca stumbled into the middle seat, but was fast to head over to the far right one instead. Before he could move over the extra couple inches, Benji's school bag flew into the spot, stopping him from sitting there.
"Benji! I was about to sit there!" Luca spoke, reaching out to grab the bag and swap seats with it.
His hands flew back when the car rocketed to life and Benji sped off from the school carpark, shoving Luca across the middle seat and coincidentally into Ashton's arms.
Ashton's reflexes took over and he found himself wrapping a protective arm around Luca's waist firmly.
They both immediately froze at the action and contact, and although they couldn't see each other, their faces were quite similiar—both hot on fire.
Neither moved away for a moment, silently embracing the sudden closeness that brought warmth and tingles to shoot up their skin.
The car swerved, pulling Ashton's touch further into Luca's and only then did Luca fully comprehend the situation and break away from the other boy.

He awkwardly moved back to the middle seat, wondering what had just happened as he drew out his hands to swap places with Benji's bag like he had planned to in the first place.
"Seatbelt Luca, now!" Benji yelled, eyeing him through the rear-view mirror.
"Sorry," he mumbled, stopping himself as he gave up and slumped into the middle seat.
He carefully wrapped the seatbelt around his body and clicked it in, his fingers brushing against Ashton's hip as he did.
He retracted his hand quickly, afraid of starting up those tingles throughout his body all over again.
Little did he know, those tingles were only growing within Ashton and it wouldn't be long before he were to do something about them.

Death's Daughter | Supernatural, D.W.
My life is normal, or at least relative to it. Really, how normal does life get, being the offspring of the most murderous of beings, the undertaker himself? Being Death's daughter isn't easy. Existence itself is a trying subject; even more trivial when it's based around taking the lives of (mostly) innocent people. The word mostly is an asterisk for people like Sam and Dean Winchester. My father informed me of them at a young age after a reaping that had obviously gone sideways. "If you have the chance," he instructed me, "drag those obnoxious cock roaches down to Hell, and leave them there."Then, one day, two flannel-clad idiots and their angel on a leash wander into my jurisdiction of the veil. My life has never been the same; my life has never been the preconceived notion of 'normal' that it once was.Disclaimer: I do not own any characters or plot lines from Supernatural.
