Betsy crawled into Luca's bed on the Thursday evening, sighing as she rested her head on her brother's shoulder.

"You know, I kind of miss those tutoring sessions even though it was a complete waste of time since Ashton didn't even need tutoring," Betsy mumbled, scoffing at her own words.

"Yeah, he told me about that, how he just wanted to get closer to you," Luca replied, thinking back to it.

Betsy furrowed her eyebrows, casting a curious glance directed at Luca.

"How many conversations have you had with Ashton exactly?" she questioned, twirling a curl of red hair in between her fingers.

The red was once again losing it's colour, and Betsy reminded herself to re-dye it soon, as well as doing Luca's single strand again which had faded within days.

"I wouldn't specifically say conversations, but he does seems to talk to me quite a lot," Luca said and Betsy felt him shrug his shoulders against her body.

She wandered through her mind back to all the times her and Ashton had discussed her brother, which almost seemed like too much.

"He did take quite an interest in you," she mumbled, "Wanting to befriend you and all..."

"I guess," Luca replied, but it sounded more like a question.

"Yeah but you hated him, " Betsy laughed, "So now I can say he's completely free from our lives. He doesn't like me anymore so he won't bother with you. We are Ashton free!"

She expected Luca to laugh along with her but instead she lifted her head and watched as an awkward expression flashed his features.

"Yeah about that," he murmured, his voice low and scratchy.

"What is it?" Betsy questioned, turning so she was completely facing Luca now.

"I sorta might have been invited to stay the night at Benji's tomorrow and well, Ashton is going too..." Luca explained, preparing for Betsy to tell him to not go.

"Just the two of you invited?" Luca could almost hear the pain in her voice as she spoke.

He nodded, "Yep."

Betsy gulped and waved it off with a hand, "I mean you should go. Don't let Ashton stop you, although you do hate him, do you think you'd cope?"

Luca didn't really know, but he had already agreed and there was no backing out now, especially not if it could potentially hurt Benji. So, he'd have to suck it up and deal with his feelings for one night, concealing them with his hate and pointless remarks.

"Yeah, " Luca muttered, "I'm sure i'll be fine."

Deep down, he wasn't so sure.
