"Okay so what if there's this person in my life who i'm starting to think of differently but i'm not sure if i'm being delusional or not...?"

Benji turned to Ashton, eyes wide and a large grin spreading across his lips.

The two of them were lounging on Shawn's couch the next day, both of which had crashed there during the early hours of the morning. Mateo refused to be around Benji and instead took the guest room although both boys were giving him the cold shoulder. Shawn, on the other hand was too busy with a girl in his bedroom to really care about what was going on.

"Do I happen to know this person?" Benji asked, a flash of excitement passing through his eyes.

Ashton bit his lip and raised an eyebrow, "Perhaps..."

Benji rolled his eyes but smiled as if he already knew, and Ashton wasn't so unsure he did.

"How differently?" Benji asked, throwing himself against the sparkly cushions placed behind him.

"Like differently in a way that I may like them...though only slightly because i'm still a little unsure. But get this, there's a whole other factor of this person that makes everything even more different...something i've never in my life thought would happen but suddenly it is..." Ashton explained, taking in deep breaths.

He avoided Benji's scrutinising gaze and casted his eyes towards the mess of the living room they were situated in. Empty cups and bottles were scattered carelessly all over the floor and Ashton was almost completely sure that, that strange puddle of yellowish-green substance near the televison was puke.

"Sounds like someones developing a crush, or maybe realising they had feelings for this person all along?" Ashton heard Benji ask and he snapped his head back to him.

Benji's words replayed in his head, "You know what, I think you're right because then everything really does make sense. Like no wonder I lost feelings for Betsy, I was unconsciously gaining them for someone else, I just never saw what was happening..." Ashton trailed off, his eyes widened and he reached out to shake Benji's shoulders.

Benji laughed, "Yeah you don't sound so confused anymore, I think you figured it out...all of it."

Ashton almost nodded in reply but in a swift motion, changed it to the shake of his head.

"No, not eveything, " Ashton quickly mumbled, retracting his hands from Benji's shoudlers and combing his fingers through his mop of ash blond hair.

"Is there something still confusing?" Benji questioned, curiosity getting the best of him.

A moment passed, "Yeah, " Ashton murmured more so to himself rather than the boy sitting beside him but he still heard, "The person."

him.
