Ashton's mind was blurred as he walked away from Luca—his pumping heart was the only thing he could feel.

He made a beeline for the outside yard, craving to get away from the stuffiness of the house and breathe in some fresh air.

He didn't know how it happened or if it were simply his drunken state taking over but when he had ventured over to Luca something felt different.

It was if everything that didn't make sense, suddenly did. And it all fell onto Luca.

Ashton swung the door open and gladly hopped out into the night's air. His thumping heart seemed to calm down a little and his thoughts eased as he collapsed into a chair.

He wasn't alone and there were quite a number of people loitering around the yard, chatting with drinks in their hands.

Ahston had left his drink inside, and he was glad he did so because he had already downed so much alcohol, he didn't think he could hold in much more.

Wherever Ashton's mind went as he sat there basking in the cool breeze, it always went back to Luca.

Ashton never thought further onto why exactly he had taken an interest towards the boy, but as he went back to the times he had longed for his smile or attempted at getting him to talk—he realised what it all meant.

Because during that moment back inside, he had thought to himself that hey, Luca is kind of cute, like actually fucking cute.

And maybe he was truly too drunk to comprehend his thoughts and wasn't exactly thinking straight but it somehow all just clicked into place.

And all his confusion, was gone.

But was that just the alcohol talking or was that him?
