So, the party wasn't exactly going great for Luca as such and he found a spot in the corner where he slunk in and hid from everyone else.

He carefully watched as people danced in the dining room of what was Shawn's house to loud blaring music that he had drowned out ages ago. Bottles of beer and vodka were scattered across the kitchen table and Luca could spot Betsy heading back there on multiple occasions.

As for Benji, Luca had no clue where the boy had run off to but he assumed he was too busy wasted and high to even think about Luca. Not that he minded.

Luca had never had sip of alcohol in his life and he wasn't planning to start now so he stuck to the cup of coke he held in his hand.

His eyes were in the midst of scanning for his sister, checking to make sure she was okay—but instead they found Ashton's. And he was looking straight at him.

Luca didn't have time to comprehend that Ashton was in fact, now walking towards him and he was inching closer and closer by the second.

He looked anywhere but Ashton, searching for a quick escape but it was too late and Ashton had already cornered him in the corner he was in.

"Uh hey.." Luca greeted, scratching his head awkwardly.

"You know," Ashton started and Luca could tell by the droopiness of his eyes and the slur of his words that he was off his face, "I didn't expect to see you here."

"Yeah, well me neither," Luca mumbled, shaking his head.

Ashton leaned foward and Luca instantly flinched back due to the stank of alcohol he was emitting.

"You have freckles. You know that?"

Luca peered back over towards Ashton and slowly furrowed his eyebrows, "What?"

"Yeah like a brush of them over your nose...it's sort of cute."

Luca would have choked on his coke if he was sipping any at the time so instead, resorted for trying to regain his breath.

"C-cute?" Luca asked, a blush spreading across his cheeks.

"Yeah..." Ashton trailed off and with one final look at Luca, he ripped his gaze away as if merely looking at him burned his eyes.

"Sorry, I have to go," he mumbled before turning his head and rushing off around the corner.
