Luca flinched his hand away and steadily drew it back to his side. His eyes were now ripped from Ashton's tilted face and fixed on the floor.

"M-me...?" he asked, stumbling over his words.

He was nervous—his hands began dripping in a thin layer of sweat and his head was pounding against his thoughts greatly.

Ashton seemed to regain himself, as if he had fallen into a slight trance in the first place.

He blinked at the boy next to him, "Like I get it. You hate me for what I've done to Betsy, and I understand you came here to set me in place or whatever because you care for her. But you're still here, why aren't you leaving?"

Luca was shocked into silence and if possible, his thoughts only began pounding harder and his head was on the verge of an ache.

He pulled himself back into his usual self, everything quiet, vulnerable and the little part of fucks he gave for the situation—gone.

"I can't just walk home in the dark Anders. Benji is my ride home so what the fuck am I suppose to do?"

It was Ashton's turn to shut his lips and rid himself of the ability to respond. Luca was right. He always was.

And ashton had obviously been thinking too far into things, but he had to wonder why did it affect him so much?

"I can drive you home," he finally grumbled, but he made no move to get up from his seat.

Luca glanced over at him, questioning eyebrows scrunching together into a knot.

Ashton met his gaze, and held it with the release of a sigh, "But I dont want to," he finally said.

"Why?" Luca instantly asked, his tone still snappy but Ashton noticed it was degrading lightly.

"I guess i'm just as confusing to you, as you are to me," he murmured, tone dropping an octave and setting coldly into the warm air.

Luca shook his head, his voice almost amused as he spoke, "You have no idea how right you are about that."

A moment passed.

"So what do we do?" Ashton questioned, not really quite sure what he was asking.

"About?"

"Everything. How do we stop the confusing from being confusing?"

Luca buried himself in his thoughts for a while,

"We take risks and we do things we aren't sure of so we can make sense of it."

Ashton wanted to reply but both the boys were halted from their conversation when Benji sat up in his seat with a loud groan and rubbed his eyes tiredly.

He slowly raised his gaze up at Luca and Ashton who were watching him with mugs in their hands and he smirked lazily.

"That was a nice nap," he mumbled, letting out a yawn.

"Great. We can go now?" Luca quickly said, setting his mug on the coffee table and moving to drag Benji to a standing postition.

"Okay, okay, calm your tits boy. We can go," he said, walking over to where Ashton still stood.

He plopped himself next to Ashton and smiled at the boy, "I hope you figure shit out, " he stopped and glanced over at Luca, "Sometimes the answer is right in front of our eyes.".

Ashton followed where Benji's gaze lingered.

Luca.

They lingered onto Luca.

And Ashton realised that may mean something greater then himself.
