When Ashton opened his door later that night to a loud knock, he was a little surprised to see Luca and Benji standing on the other side.

"What are you guys doing here?" Ashton asked, his voice grumbled and low.

Both Benji and Luca noticed that he didn't look too good. His hair was ruffled up all over the place and his eyes were sad.

Luca knew asking Benji to come with him was a good idea—the two were good friends and Benji knew more about feelings then Luca ever could.

"Here to talk to you," Benji said, pushing himself in and shoving a bag into Ashton's chest, "I bought you cookies on the way here."

Ashton grabbed the bag, "Cookies?"

"Comfort food Ash, because you know, you're emotional," Benji informed him, moving himself into the house and down the hallway.

"I'm not emotional..." Ashton muttered, turning back to Luca.

"You're confused?" Luca asked, entering inside the house when Ashton moved to the side.

Ashton nodded, "Yeah. Confused."

Luca followed Ashton down the hallway to where Benji had plopped himself down on a couch. As Luca walked, he observed the house with care.

It was fairly decent in size and generous in the amount of rooms that he had seen as they passed. It was definitely somewhat expensive but oddly enough, Luca didn't seem to mind too much. He kind of liked it in a way.

"So," Benji started when Ashton and Luca joined him on the couch, "What's the deal with miss perfect Betsy?"

Luca watched intently as Ashton fell back in his seat and released a sharp exhale—it was clear he didn't want to talk about anything.

But he did nonetheless.

"I liked her and now all of a sudden I don't. But maybe, maybe this is what happens when you like someone this hard. Maybe it's normal and I'm just in a weird phase and before I know it, I'll be running after her again," is what he started with.

Benji nodded along, and Luca sat watching him curiously.

"No. I think you definetly don't like her anymore. The question is, why?" with Benji's response, he sent a quick glance over towards Luca.

Luca knotted his eyebrows and Benji sat back with a small smirk creeping onto his lips.

"I–I don't know why. I've been trying to figure it out myself," Ashton mumbled and it was true.

He had no fucking clue as to why he didn't like Betsy anymore.

"Maybe a person?" Benji asked, ignoring Luca's glare, "Was there someone else maybe... in the midst of you trying to catch Betsy that made you turn in a different direction?"

"Someone who you found yourself intrigued by?" when Benji didn't stop, Luca lightly kicked the boy as subtly as he could.

Benji retracted his foot and scowled at the brunette in annoyance.

Ashton didn't notice the small interaction and instead focused on Benji's questions for a moment.

"Not anyone I can think of, no," he finally said, raising his face and shrugging.

Benji let out a groan, "So oblivious you are!"

Luca's eyes widened, "Oh my god Benji, shut the fuck up!"

This silenced both Ashton and Benji for a short second, their eyes turning to a panicked seeming Luca.

"Okay, I'm shutting up I swear," Benji muttered, leaning his head into a cushion.

"Just because I figured everything out before the both of you could..." Benji grumbled into the purple fluff of the cushion.

Ashton wasn't too pleased, "Now I'm just as confused as before," he mumbled.

"Your feelings Ashton, are all over the place but this is normal. All I'm saying is try not to hurt my sister too much because you're right about me being right. I was right," Luca said, and Ashton turned to him with sad smile.

"I made a fool out of myself and now everyone hates me. Right?"

Luca shrugged nochantly, "Yeah I guess so."

A slap hit him on the shoulder and Benji sat there with a mean glare, "Don't say that!"

"Is that the only reason you hate me for? Because you didn't like the idea of me and Betsy and I ruined everything with her?" Ashton asked, biting into his lower lip.

Luca looked away and nodded.

"This is so infuriating to watch!" Benji groaned, "Everything is so damn obvious you nut heads!"

And both the boys just stared at him as he failed around the couch like a dying fish, mumbling about things they couldn't quite understand.
