Betsy sat at lunch with quite a few friends—none to which she considered close friendships with but close enough.

They were chatting mindlessly, Betsy not paying much attention as she munched loudly on some chips. Only did she join in on the conversation when the subject of Ashton Anders was brought up.

"So well, are you guys dating?" a girl asked Betsy, an excited grin plastered on her face.

Betsy shook her head, "No."

"Do you want to?"

Betsy thought on it for a moment. If she was asked this week ago, she would've said no. At first, she didn't even like Ashton as a friend and then she found herself liking him as a friend and now she was growing immense feelings for the boy.

"Yeah I guess so."

"Well what are you waiting for then? It seems obvious he likes you," she replied, sending her a pointed look.

Betsy sighed as her thoughts filled of Ashton, "To be honest? I kind of like the whole chase thing, I don't know I find a thrill in it all. Like I like him but I like seeing him fight for me you know?"

"I've never seem him so caught up in someone before. You're lucky Bezzy," another girl spoke.

The girl next to her turned to Betsy, a serious expression drawn on her features, "She's right but you can't let him chase you for too long, he'll get tired of running."

Betsy just laughed,

"He's a star athlete, he'll never get tired of running."
