Betsy's plan to not tell Luca went straight through the roof the next day when she invited Ashton over after to school—to which he happily complied and met her at the school gates.

Just like when Ashton met Luca, his eyes caught onto him rushing over and just like he familiarised himself with—his hair was messy and his eyes sparkled under the pair of glasses that covered them.

Luca paid no attention to Ashton, and acted like he wasn't there at all. It bothered Ashton but he expected it, he didn't expect anything more from the boy at this point.

When the three of them began walking, Ashton engaged in a conversation with Betsy to which he mentioned Benji and how he was tagging along with them to the fair.

When Luca heard this, he frowned a little. Betsy's gaze was fixed on him, awaiting his reaction but he gave none.

He just kept walking with his eyes fixed down on the concrete his feet pattered against.
