It wasn't everyday you spent your free time reading a book but you couldn't fucking focus on the perfectly printed words because your mind kept shoving a particular person's face into your thoughts only to contradict them with new thoughts that grew wild with each moment that passed, until you had finally figured out why you were suddenly thinking so vividly of that person when you thought all along, you just hated them but then you realised why you truly hated that person.
This is exactly what Luca had gone through the previous night and the next day at school he was a complete mess.
He didn't know how to handle his feelings, he didn't want to think of this person anymore when they could pass him any moment in the hallways.
He had no clue that he didn't even have a single chance of seeing them because that person wasn't even at school and instead was sitting at home, complaining that their stomach hurt like a bitch.
"You're going to miss school and football practice!" Ashton's mum yelled as she stood in the doorway of his bedroom.
He was snuggled up in a swarm of cosy blankets to keep him warm and the morning sunlight peaked through his window.
"Mum, I never miss school. Ever. Please, my stomach is killing me," Ashton groaned, clutching onto his stomach.
His mum heaved a sigh and walked over towards her son, a tight black dress fitted over her body showing off her curves to which Ashton rolled his eyes at.
"You're literally going to work so you don't even need to worry about me," he reasoned.
"Okay fine. But you're going tomorrow because I don't tolerate you being absent young man," she scolded, picking up some dirty laundry he had lazily thrown on the floor.

"Yeah yeah, I've heard it all before," Ashston murmured.
"Sleep," his mum demanded, pointing a stern finger at him before walking back over to the door.
Once she was gone and the door was closed, Ashton felt the pain in his stomach subside though the tingling sensation stayed intact.
It wasn't usual pain and the more he thought about it, the more he realised it was hardly pain at all.
It was butterflies.
