The car rocketed to life, and Betsy strapped the seat belt over her body.

She nodded her head at Ashton's question, "Yep. "

And apart from that she didn't say anything further, not because she didn't want to talk about Luca but because she didn't want to talk at all. So she kept the conversation as minimal as she could, hoping Ashton would catch onto the fact that she wasn't really interested in holding it.

He didn't catch on.

And so for the rest of the car ride to his house, he asked her question after question—trying to learn about the mysterious girl with red hair and to listen to that honey sweet voice once again.

But all he got out of her was grunts and short answers and although it bothered him—it made even more intrigued.
