Luca Violet was always a stranger to everybody. Everyone knew Betsy Violet, but were shocked to find out she had twin brother. Luca found this stupid. How did people not notice? But then again, it wasn't like Luca was into socialising like his sister was. They were complete opposites.

Not that Luca minded. He was completely content with not having any friends, he didn't need them.

Luca sat in his ancient history class with despair written all over his face. He hated history, and yet he was the one who picked it as a subject.

The teacher rambled on about whatever the fuck the topic was. Luca didn't know.

His hands gripped the hard cover of his book, itching to open it and continue reading from where he left off. Except the last time he did this in class, his teacher confiscated the book and went on about how this is History, not English.

Thing is, Luca didn't like English either as much as he loved reading.

He didn't like anything really.
