"Haven't you heard of knocking! Get the fuck out!"

I'm quickly awoken from a dreamless sleep at the sound of Susie yelling, and then a pained grumble soon following after sounding from a man. I hear the door slam shut and I open my eyes, seeing Susie sitting up and holding the blanket over her otherwise bare chest. I look down and see she had already covered me at some point, and my heart melts a bit.

She's really sweet when she isn't forced to do the Entity's bidding.

Even though she was still a delinquent beforehand.

She quickly looks down at me wherever she hears the sheets shift from me moving slightly, sitting up next to her and yawning, clutching the blanket against my chest to cover up. After I rub the sleep from my eyes and look at the door, I give her a questioning look.

"Vigo came crashing in here just before you woke up, and started to go on a rant about how he thought She dragged us back and not to wander too far. And that this room had important stuff and not to be touching anything. And then started freaking out when he saw us... like this."

She answering, rolling her eyes, clearly irritated over the whole thing. Her gaze settles on mine and my heart starts to beat faster.

"I had to hurry up to cover you. I don't want anyone else seeing you like this."

Her voice dropped to a low mumble as she leans forward, entwining her hands through my hair to pull me into her, and began to kiss her way down from my jaw to neck. She gently tugs the blanket out of my grasp and kisses her way down to my chest and slowly pushes me back so that i'm now laying down. She cups both of my breasts with her hands, using her thumbs to tease my nipples as she began to leave more hickies on the sensitive skin of my under boob. I let out a soft sigh as she moves to the next, and after a few moments she pulls back, smiling as she looks at my skin. I felt the familiar hot tension build up in my lower stomach, but choose to ignore it.

I put my hands over hers and move them down to my lap and then look down at my chest, blushing when I saw three deep red marks on my skin— two on the left, one on the right.

"You're mine."

Speechless, I nod, and she kisses my forehead before gathering our discarded clothes that were strewn across the bed. After a few more glances at each others bodies, we almost reluctantly put our clothes back on.

She sighs and comes up to me, cupping my cheek with her palm and stroking the skin with her thumb gently, smiling at me. After lingering for a moment, she drops her hand back down to her side, headed to the door and motioning at me with her head to come.

"We should see what he has to say— it's probably important."

She murmurs as I nod, and she opens the door and we walk out.

Guess our time together was over, for now.

Her memory was surprisingly good as she takes my hand and pulls me behind her through the halls, down the stairs, and before I know it we're back in the library. Both are sitting before the fireplace, The Observer is flipping through the pages of a book, Vigo sitting on the arm of the couch, swirling the dark red wine in his glass as he stared absentmindedly into the fire.

Maybe he was celebrating something?

I feel a slightly dreadful feeling beginning to form in the pit of my stomach, then Susie clears her throat. He lifts the glass to his lips and takes a long sip before looking at us.

"After what I came across trying to find you two— I think I deserve this."

Susie chokes back a laugh and I can faintly hear The Observer grumble something along the lines of not wanting to know, before slamming the book he was occupied with shut in what might've been annoyance or frustration. Vigo's head turns towards him immediately at the loud snap.

"Careful!"

He barks out– then realizing he had raised his voice, he quickly apologizes.

"I'm sorry, friend. You know how important all of these are to me— please just try to treat them better."

The Observer looking slightly guilty, nods, and doesn't say much, just gently sets the book down on the table before them.

Vigo turns his head back towards us and gives us a serious look.

"I think I found an incantation.. or ritual? That could get you two out of here. If we succeed, this could be the first step for getting all of us out of here."

He smiles.

"We would be free of Her."

My breath caught in my throat as everything around me seemed to turn still. As if time had just suddenly stopped. The dread pooling in my stomach had disappeared instantly.

"We could get out? We could live normal lives?"

My legs began to shake and I heard Susie yell my name and grab me just before my knees gave out, holding me steady so I didn't collapse on the spot. I could hear a slight ringing noise in my ears, I've had hope before, but with the help of Vigo and The Observer, we may actually have a chance to get out now.

All we had to do was hope we didn't die in the process.
