"Father!?" Aqua hissed
Her eyes went wide and panic shot through her body, her slim fingers started to tremble as she stumbled back from the door. Her eyes ran over his long silver hair that flowed down his back, his brows were stitched together while he held the most pissed expression he's ever had. His jaw was locked tightly and he stepped one foot into the girl's apartment, never taking his eyes off her.
His hands gripped his golden trident that was just as tall as him, towering over them both, It was an intimidating weapon.
One strike and you were instantly killed.
The rain was still pouring outside, dashing and slamming against everything in its path, ready to rip the earth from the ground.
"Wh-what are you doing here?" Aqua stuttered
Her mind wondered to different places, shocked was an understatement of how the girl was feeling right now. Her bottom lip quivered slighty as she took in the fact that her father was standing in front of her right now.
"Do you have any idea, how long I've been looking for you!" He hissed
"I-I what-"
"It's been two years. Two damn years that I've been looking for you!" he yelled again
"Why were you even looking for me, I don't want anything to do with you or Atlantis"
"You can't just forget about your birthplace, you can't forget about who you are, what you are. It's your destiny"
"My destiny is to marry whoever the hell you want me to marry? My destiny is to sit on a throne and watch the men rule over every kingdom? My destiny is to shut my damn mouth and stay quiet?!" Aqua hissed
"It's the way things have always been, we don't stray away from our tradition-"
"SOMETHING NEEDS TO CHANGE FATHER" Aqua hissed
"I've had it up to here with you and your foolishness Aquamarine. You're coming back with me to Atlantis whether you like it or not!" the man yelled
"Yo what's going o- HOLY FUCK" Adam dropped his game console onto the ground when his eyes landed on the King
"Adam?!" The man hissed
"I-"
"What the?!" the man asked
"Hi... " Adam mumbled
"We you two living here? Married?"
"No, what the fuck" Aqua hissed
"No sir, I wouldn't force her to marry someone she doesn't want to and frantically, I'm happy on my own. Being single is amazing" Adam smiled
"Huh? What language are you speaking?" the man asked
"Gen Z language" Adam said
"Huh?"
"Something your nut Meg brain couldn't handle" Aqua glared at her father
"Nut Meg?" The man asked
"Ugh, I forgot that fishes doesn't have a brain" Aqua rolled her eyes
"So you're not together? Then what are you doing here?"
"I couldn't handle the pressure my father was giving me" Adam mumbled
"General Aaron? What pressure could he possibly give you"
"Everything? Being a man doesn't mean I have to follow his rules, be a dick and feel like I'm on top of everyone" Adam shrugged
The man's eyes went wide as he snapped his neck towards his daughter
"You! WHAT DID YOU TELL HIM!"
"Me? I didn't do shit" Aqua hissed
"You filled his head with this nonsense! Now he thinks he has an option!"
"You should really listen to yourself and how fucking stupid you sound!" Aqua yelled

"No Aqua, I'm tired of this. If you won't marry Adam then I'll get someone else for you. Now get your ass out this place and let's go"
"What the? Are you dumb? Is that your plan all this time? To tell me to leave?"
"This is the easy way" The man said
"And what's the hard way?" Aqua scoffed
The man's eyes flickered black as they stared into Aqua's soul. She swallowed a lump in her throat, instantly regretting saying anything to the man.
Suddenly, five of the king's guards came marching into the apartment, their eyes were narrowed as they stared at her. Their chests were exposing their broad shoulders, the men had their eels around their necks, electric shocks stung their skin but didn't phase them. They seemed ready to attack.
This couldn't be it right? The end of her? Her new life? Her happiness?
No. It couldn't be. She wasn't going to give up with a fight. She's come so far and made it through so many obstacles to just give up right now.
Sure, the guards were the highest ranks, they trained for years to cut open the head of anyone the king asks them to. She was just a girl, a rather small girl compared the to giants that stood in his apartment.
But that wasn't going to stop her. It was her time so show what could do. It was time that her father saw the side of her he never saw before.
"Bring it!" Aqua hissed. The adrenaline coursed her veins as her eyes flickered black.
Two men started to approach her, Aqua's eyes glanced towards the television set. Her hand reached up and aimed at it, mentally bringing it over and slamming it into the side of a guard's head.
"Adam. Get Beverly!" Aqua hissed. The boy nodded and ran upstairs, heading towards the girl's room
A guard started to walk towards the stairs, chasing after Adam. Aqua's eyes grew wide as she clenched her jaw.
Her hand pointed to the couch and aimed it towards the man, the sofa then tossed into the air and dashed into the direction of the stairs, hitting the man in the back, lounging him forward and made him hit his head into the metal stairs, knocking him out unconscious.
"What are you doing? GET HER!" the father hissed at his two remaining guards
The two guards leaped forward, their hands reached around their necks and whipped their eels around like a whip, the slimy animals flickered blue and electric shocks rolled their their body, they hissed when they were awaken, aiming their gaze towards Aqua
"Oh for fuck sakes" Aqua groaned
Her hand reached up towards the two men and they froze in track, she was now in control of both their bodies, the movement of their muscles, the amount of oxygen they took in.
The man gasped as their throat went dry, feeling the tension start to tighten around their neck. If felt like the oxygen was leaving their bodies by the second.
"You don't look so powerful without your sea horses" Aqua smirked
"Aqua! Aqua what's going on!" Beverly yelled as she ran down the stairs
"I told you get her!" Aqua hissed
"I'm sorry! I tried to get her out the window but she fought me and ran down here" Adam said
"Who is this" Aqua's father hissed, paying no attention to his guards that were losing oxygen

"Get away from her!" Aqua hissed when the father started to walk closer towards Beverly
"Or what? You'll lower your hands to try to kill me? You and I both know that if you lower your hands right now then my guards won't take a second before they take you away, you won't even have the time to touch me" the father smirked
Aqua's jaw clenched, her hands were still extended in the air, holding the two men above the floor. Hovering their bodies and controlling their every move
"What the fuck is going on!" Beverly hissed
"She's human" The father said as he stood before the girl, Beverly furrowed her brows
"You.. You look like Aqua..You're her father?" Beverly asked
"I think she looks more like her mother, who are you?" Aqua's dad asked
"I-"
"Don't you dare hurt her!" Aqua hissed
"Hush up child, I'm talking to the human"
"How dare you" Beverly hissed
"How dare I what?" The father asked
"How dare you put Aqua through hell for so many years!" Beverly hissed
"Hell? I gave her a place to sleep, food to eat and a life to live since she was born. She's the one that's ungrateful, especially since she isn't following my rules" The man hissed
"Just because you give someone a place to stay, doesn't mean you're a father. You tried to marry her off with some random man!"
"It was what's best for her"
"No. It was what's best for you. You thought shipping her for and far away from you and your kingdom would help heal your heart because everytime you look at Aqua, you see your wife!" Beverly hissed
Faces fell in the living room, Aqua's eyes softened and her body melted. Her hands dropped to her sides and released the two men. Aqua furrowed her brows as she turned towards her father, completely forgetting about the two guards that were choking on the ground.
The man furrowed his brows and clenched his jaw. He knew it was true, he couldn't bring himself to look at his daughter because she looked exactly like her mother
The perfect smooth raven black hair, the purple and green sparkle of her tail, her green eyes that changed the colour of her mood, it was something she inherited from her mother. Her father couldn't handle being in the same room with someone that looked like the person he lost.
When his wife died, it took a part of him that couldn't find its way back.
But that wasn't the only reason why he wanted to ship Aqua off to marriage.
"Is.. Is that true?" Aqua whispered
"I-"
"Just answer it" Aqua whispered, her eyes locked with her father's green ones
"I have no idea what you're talking about, Aqua let's go!" he hissed
The man reached his hand out to grip Aqua's wrist, tugging her in the direction of the door
"Leave her alone!" Adam hissed, the boy ran towards the man
Jumping onto his back, an attempt to slow him down but it failed. The father rolled his eyes and tossed Adam off his body. He gripped his trident and aimed it towards the boy on the floor
"No!" Aqua yelled
Suddenly, a strong electric sensation started to fly through the trident, a bright glowing yellow light started to build from the tip of the three arrowed trident. Aqua's eyes went wide when the weapon started hum, her father aimed it towards Adam
The boy's eyed went wide and he tried to crawl backwards, The father grinded his teeth against each other and delivered a blow, aiming directly to the boy's stomach.
"NOOO" Aqua screamed and reached over to grab the trident
Unfortunately it was too late, the lightening bolt was already shot and flew directly towards Adam
"AGGH" the boy screamed in pain when the electric sensation spread throughout his entire stomach. The electric volt shocked the boy, his muscles started to spazz. His body shook violently on the floor.
"Adam!" Beverly screamed and dropped onto the floor, her hands clutched the boy's stomach
Down came the red liquid, flowing out the shot in his stomach. The blood that had once flowed thick and scarlet in his veins was clasped around Bevrley's fingers.
Adam's body continued to shake violently, his eyes twitched and rolled back into his head as his heart raced a hundred miles per hour. The strikes radiated pain in a way that shattered his brain - or at least that's what if felt like. He laid so still, breathing shallow, feeling his life slip from his own body. A second blow of electricity was then delivered but it wasn't towards Adam.
"AQUA!" Beverly screamed when the man shot his own daughter again
Aquamarine's muscles felt as though they had been flash-burned with acid from the inside - just sufficient to make them move like the living cells had been replaced by aging rubber bands, thick and twisted.
As the life fluid drained out of her in it's garish red, her skin took on the pallor of a corpse. Her stomach felt sick and then one by one she lost control of her limbs until finally her head slumped. She could still hear, but she could control none of her body.
Pain came out like an uproar from Beverly's throat in the form of a silent scream as she watched the life drain from the love of her life. The beads of water started falling down one after another, without a sign of stopping.
She hit the wall and tried to scream, but her voice was melted by the sound of the place. The muffled sobs wracked against her chest. The world turned into a blur, and so did all the sounds. The taste. The smell. Everything was gone.
Aqua's father lifted her limped body and slung it over his shoulder, ready to walk out of the door with the girl's unconscious and bleeding body.
"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE" Beverly yelled, the tears poured down her face as the pain held her heart
"It's what's best for her" the man said
"I love her! I LOVE HER" Beverly yelled
It seemed to piss the man off, his hands raised once again and his eyes were narrowed towards Beverly. Her eyes went wide, she knew something was coming. But she was too late, she couldn't move.
The man took a swing and slammed the bottom of his trident right into the girl's skull, her eyes rolled back in her head and she dropped to the floor next to Adam's unconscious body. Everything went black.
Everything was gone. The last painful emotion slammed against her before she lost the feeling of feeling.
