My laughs filled the entire locker room, I'm sure those outside could hear me. Aqua slid down the wall and joined me on the ground, buried my face in her shoulder as I tried to contain myself.

I glanced up and saw that the door was wide open, the announcer's voice filled the auditorium. I inhaled a deep icy breath before exhaling

"Beverly" Aqua said, I tilted my chin up to meet her eyes

"Yes?"

"You've got this" she smiled sweetly

"You think so?" I matched her smile

The girl intertwined our fingers, her eyes glanced down to our soft hands wrapped into each other

"I know so" She whispered above my lips before leaning in and placing a tender kiss on them

"You're so cute" I giggled

"Shut up and let me compliment you" I matched her glare

"Ugh" I rolled my eyes

"Go get out there, you have a trophy to collect" She smiled and stood to her feet, leaning her hands down to mine

I took her hands into mine and she pulled me to my feet, a smile stretched across my lips as I wrapped my arms around her abdomen

"I love you" I whispered, Aqua wrapped her arms around my back and rested her chin on the top of my head

Honestly, I forgot I was even at a competition. Being in her arms just has a way of making you forget about the world, forgetting about your problems. Your misery just seems to fade when her protective arms are wrapped around you tightly, squealing the tender flesh with all of the love she could possibly have.

So she finally pulled away, knowing I wouldn't move a muscle if she didn't. She smiled and nodded in the direction of the door

I chuckled and headed out the door, my eyes immediately landed on the screaming crowd that waved flags and tossed their arms in the air in excitement.

"Today we had ten teams compete for the state title. Unfortunately we can only give trophies to the top three that scored the highest. But give yourself a round of applause for everyone that came out and participated today, you all did amazing jobs and a trophy shouldn't be the reason you know that" The announcer said

The crowd and all of the other teams applauded themselves, it was true. I've never seen such skillful teams with stamina for days out in this competition since I've took up cheerleading, I was highly impressed today by everyone.

"And in third place...." the announcer said

My heart started to pound against my chest as the man unfolded at envelope

"Marian Academy!" he yelled, a sigh of relief washed over me but it still could mean anything

"Second place.... Gr-"

"Oh no" I muttered to myself and my heart sank into my chest

"-Grace Sisters High School!" The announcer said. I felt my knees go weak as I stumbled forward. My heart was pounding in my chest and through my ear. I felt a hand intertwine with mine, my eyes glanced over to see Elena smiling widely with hopeful eyes

"Ladies and Gentlemen... And non Binary pals-"

"That's right!" Aqua yelled from the crowd

"Your winner today isssss......"

The crowd screamed, everything moved in slow motion as the confetti popped, my eyes blinked rapidly as I tried to understand what he had just said. Screams pierced through my ear as the teams jumped into the air

"Green Academy!" The man yelled

"YYEESSSSS" Elena screamed

I blinked my eyes in disbelief. We won? We won!

"Holy fucking shit, we won!" I screamed and started to pump into the hair, adrenaline coursed through my veins as the cheers filled the entire auditorium

"Congratulations Green Academy, may the Captain please come to collect their trophy" the announcer said

I quickly intertwined my hands with Elena and pulled her towards the judges table, the trophy stood tall, it was even taller than I was. I gripped the ends and Elena held the other as she held it high in the air, proud of our accomplishments

The team screamed and ran towards the table, I laughed when they all gripped the trophy, making it crowd surfe

"Baby!" Aqua yelled, I turned my attention towards the raven hair girl running towards me

I met her half way and charged towards her, my feet tossed into the air and I wrapped them around her waist with my arms around her neck. Her arms held me securely

"Congratulations!" she screamed, I cupped her cheeks and immediately peppered kisses all over her face

"Ugh babe stapp" she squealed

"No!" I pouted

"You're so cute" she chuckled

"I can't believe it" I smiled

"Well you should, because you Beverly Hills, just won nationals" she smiled

"Beverly?" someone said, I turned my attention towards a familiar face

"Hello?" I smiled politely and hopped off Aquamarine

It was the man that came to my practice with Aquamarine. My eyes glanced down to his suit, only to see a 'Judge' sticker on it. My eyes immediately grew wide

"You were one of the judges today?!" I gasped, the man chuckled softly

"Yes, yes I was. I had the chance to see you practice thanks to Aquamarine. She said you were really good and I had to come check it out for myself" He smiled

"You did that?" I asked Aqua, the girl smiled and nodded

"I also work for the Harvard University Cheer Team, my job is the recruit the best cheerleaders I could find and I think you're perfect for our role as captain. So whenever you have the time, give me a call and we'll set something up" The man smiled and slipped his business card into my hand

My eyes bulged out of its sockets and my jaw hung wide open. Did I just hear correctly?

"Oh my God, thank you so much" I said

"Thank your girlfriend, she arranged everything" the man smiled before stepping away, I turned my attention towards Aqua

"You really did all of this?" I asked

"I want you to follow your passion, now you have the opportunity to do what you love and be in an elite university to study business." she said

All I could see was her mouth moving, I had drowned out her voice and listened to the voice in my head.

She really did all of this for me? That's the sweetest, most considerate thing anyone has ever done for me in my entire life.

I say it and I mean it. Aquamarine is the best thing that's ever happened to me and I'm so fucking glad she's in my life. I truly didn't deserve her.

"It really wasn't a proble-"

I cut her off be crashing her lips into mine, they were so soft. I could feel her smile against my lips. I needed her to know how much I appreciated her.

So that night I kissed her. I kissed her like she was the moon and I was her sun, balancing each other and living only for each other.

She was mine and I was hers.
