Beverly's pov

"Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God" Elena groaned

"Elena!" I yelled

"What!" The girl said, I could see the panic in her eyes and she breathed deeply

"It's okay, it's literally gonna be okay" I said

"HER LEG IS BROKEN" Elena screamed

"I know, I know. Just calm down before you start stressing me out too" I mumbled, her eyes seemed to soften

"Oh... Yeah right, ugh I'm sorry" she groaned

"It's okay, just go take a lap to clear your mind" I said

"We'll be okay" She said, her soft brown eyes locked with mine and she placed a hand on my shoulder for some sort of reassurance

"I hope we will be" I mumbled

Elena gave me a shy smile before leaving the locker room, heading towards a quick jog to warm up to take her mind off this disaster.

This day was not going well. At all.

I started my day off with cereal, then there was no milk. No fucking milk! I should have known the day would have been terrible from that moment on.

My car broke down halfway on the way here, the uber -that I took to get here after my car broke down- engine's stopped working.

Then Aqua wouldn't return any of my calls and texts, the last time I spoke with her was last night when she said she had to start packing to head to Tokyo.

Listen, I know her work is important and I support her for following her passion. But there's still a part of me that wished she was here, especially right now with this chaos.

Two teams members are absent, one called in sick, another hasn't arrived yet and to top things off. Isabel just broke her fucking leg when she was rehearing

"I have the ice" a team member said as he walked into the locker room

"thank you" the girl said as she placed the ice onto her joint, the medic stepped out to call an ambulance because it was pretty bad

She was supposed to be caught by the guys when she was tossed into the air for a safe landing. Unfortunately the dumbass guys got distracted by our competition, some girls with tight and short uniforms blew a kiss their way and the guys turned to mush, completely forgetting that they had to catch their team member who was plumaging to the ground. The girl fell directly onto her knee, cracking her bone in the process. Harsh, I know. I'm just really happy that she's okay.

What I really needed right now was Aquamarine. I missed her, that's the heartbreak of my day. With all the chaos that was happening, she was the only perosn I thought of.

The team was freaking out, we were down by three members and had no idea how we were gonna pull off our routine without the most important one in the mix. Isabel. GODDAMIT.

"Any ideas?" A team member asked

"Let me think for a while" I mumbled

It was the first time I'm captain and our first game as a new team and this is what happens?

What does that say about me as a leader?

Ugh I need to calm down, I couldn't physically control everything that was happening today but I still felt like it was my fault.

I still felt that heavy weight on my shoulder that was now mixing with the anxiety and pressure of what would happen next.

I sighed and stepped out of the locker room we were assigned to, my eyes immediately scanned the building. There were colourful flags lined across the walls and banners of each school, the floor was wide and the blue bleachers were bigger than most in highschools. The audience was packed with fiends and family members of the many teams. The announcer stood on a tall post with a horn, the music blasted through speakers hooked onto the walls all around. I sighed and searched for my friends

"Beverly! Over there!" someone yelled, I smiled and approached the girls

"I'm dead" I groaned

"What's wrong?" Josie asked

"This day is a disaster and I just want to give up" I said

"Give up? That doesn't sound like you" Josie said

"This day is too goddamn crazy and the team is in shambles, someone is slamming their head against the lockers in frustration" I said

"I'm sure it's not that bad" Jackie chuckled, I turned to the dark skinned girl and rose my brow

"There's atheists in there that are praying to every religion, hoping to save the day and their dignity" I said

"Oh.... Well shit bitch y'all doomed" Jackie laughed

"Babe!" Allie hissed at the girl

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry" Jackie mumbled

"Don't worry about it, the worst part is I don't have Aqua here to calm me down right now" I groaned

"Why do you need Aqua to calm you?" Josie asked, but hid a smirk as if she didn't already know the answer

"Because she's the only perosn that can make me feel out of my own body, there's just something about her that can control everything within me. Plus she gives good advice" I chuckled

"You miss her?" Allie asked

"So fucking much. She's all I need right now, sadly she's on a plane to Tokyo right now and I'm here thinking about how to fix a broken leg" I shook my head in disbelief

My heart ached right now, sadness filled my veins and replaced my thoughts. My mind strayed far away from what I should do about the situation and settled on the missing void of Aquamarine. God I needed her right now.

Sometimes when our life isn't going according to plan, we just need the arms and words of our loved ones telling us it's gonna be okay.

Sure deep down we know it never will be, but we still needed them there. Their presence was enough to calm your neverves and make you forget about the miseries of life in the moment.

And to top it all off, my parents weren't even here. Yay me.

"Beverly" Allie said

"What?" I mumbled

"Still thinking about her?" The red hair girl smirked

"All the time" I mumbled again

"Turn around" Allie said

"Why?" I asked

"BITCH JUST DO IT" she yelled, I groaned and spun on my heels to face her

Only to be met with the familiar natural light green eyes and blue hair girl holding the sweetest smile that caused my heart to skip a beat

"Hey baby" she whispered

The blood ran out from my body as I stood frozen in my position, to say I was shocked was an understatement. My jaw hung loosely at the girl before me, Aqua chuckled and stepped closer towards me

"Are you really here or is my imagination wishing for this?" I asked

"I'm right here, I promise" she chuckled, she really is here!

An inhuman squeal left my throat as I bolted towards my girlfriend, her eyes went wide as I ran towards her. My feet pushed off the ground and I jumped into her arms.

Aqua grunted when my body collided with hers but she quickly wrapped her arms around the bottom of my thighs, my arms threw around her neck as I peppered kisses all over her face, causing her to giggle. It's been three days without seeing her face, holding her, I know it's clingy but shut up.

"Babeee" she giggled

"Shhh" I shushed and cupped her cheeks, placing the most tender kiss I could think of

I almost melted into her touch, her lips on mine always made me feel invincible. They fitted so perfectly and molded so well together, like they were made for each other. A wave of pleasure rolled through my body as I captured her bottom lip between mine, groaning at her taste of melon chap stick.

"I don't know if I approve of so much PDA in public" a familiar voice said

"Oh hush up dear, they're teenagers. Horny teenagers" the man said

"Did.. Did you just call our daughter a horny teenager?" she asked

I finally pulled away from Aqua's lips and my eyes immediately landed on my parents who stood behind us

"Mom, dad?!" I asked

"In the flesh" my father smiled

"What the?" I asked confused

"We got off early to come see you, we also ran into Aqua after we got stuck in traffic" My mother said

"This is literally so sweet, ughhh" I groaned and climbed off my girlfriend

"Wait till you find out how we even got here in the first place" Aqua laughed, I furrowed my brows at her

"Do tell" I said

"Well, there was a accident on the road that blocked up and caused traffic. Then Adam noticed an ambulance coming behind and all the cars parted to allow it to past. So we made Ameer step on the gas and followed behind it" she laughed

"Isn't that illegal?" I questioned

"Yes, but I'm here aren't I?" She smirked

"Yes. I couldn't be happier" I giggled and wrapped my arms around her stomach

"How's everyone doing, are they nervous?" she asked
