Beverly's pov

"We should probably head back" I muttered

Aqua remained silent, her eyes were burning holes in my face. She wasn't just watching my every movement, it was as if she was observing. Almost trying to store it away in her memories.

"Come on, the pizza is gonna ready any second now" I groaned and pulled myself up from the ground

We've been sitting here for so long, my ass was numb. Everyone in the store went along with their business while Aqua and I sat on the game floor just piercing through each other's souls.

I stood on my feet and held a hand out for the girl. She grabbed it and immediately a sensation spread through my palm.

I really needed to get myself checked out, so many weird things have been going on lately. I'll lose my mind next, I assure you.

I glanced around the store one last time before walking back into the food court with Aquamarine. The girl slowly walked behind me, I could feel her eyes on my body.

"Where have you two been?" Elena asked

"Aqua wanted to play a game" I muttered

"The only one playing games is yo-"

"What is that supposed to mean?" I asked Josie

"You'll figure it out sooner or later" she smirked and shoved a french fry into her mouth

"You're weird" I glared at her

"That's how the ladies like me" she smirked again. I rolled my eyes and headed to the pizza station. The woman collected my bill and went off to look for my oder.

A few seconds later, she appeared with the brown box and a stamped bill. I gave her a quick nod before collecting the food and heading back to our seat

"That smells so good" Aqua said in awe, her eyes flickered blue for a second before returning back to green. What the heck?

"Here. Try it" I opened the box and the aroma filled my nose.

The steam bounced against my skin, the mixture of cheese and pork made my mouth run water. My hands gripped a slice, pulling it towards my mouth. The cheese clung onto the rest of the slices, it formed multiple cheesy strings before it detached. The baked food touched my tongue, I almost moaned at the taste.

"This is so good oh my God" Aqua groaned as she bit into the slice again.

"Slow down, don't want you to choke" Elena said

"That's nothing, Bev makes her choke all the ti-"

"I. Will. Kill. You." I threatened the girl

"Try if you can" she smirked

"Ughhhh" I groaned and continued devouring the slice of heaven

"Should we watch a movie?" Elena questioned

"Oooo yes, I heard there's this new Godzilla movie out" Josie said, her grin reached her ear as she thought about the suggestion

"I wonder if that's rea-"

"Don't even" Aqua glared at the girl

"Oh come on, if mermaids exist, why can't Godzilla?" Josie pouted

"I've never seen him before, so there still might be some hope" Aqua laughed

"I guess we're watching a movie then" I said, everyone nodded and continued eating

After a few minutes of bantering and weird tension from Josie and Elena. We all got up to head towards the movies. Luckily it wasn't a problem to take our bags with us.

Josie got our tickets and we pushed past the metal door. My nostrils were immediately filled with the scent of popcorn. People stood in line, their hands gripped the red rope separating the rows. The humming of the juice machine vibrated against the red concrete walls.

"I'm gonna get us some stuff. You guys could head in" Elena said. We nodded and headed into room 4.

The chilling cold air conditioning invaded my skin. My teeth shuddered at the sudden contact. The theatre was half full, we made our way to the top. Aqua found her seat next to me while Josie sat on the other end.

A few minutes went by before Elena returned, she carried a family size popcorn with a few sodas on a tray. The dramatic music blasted through the speakers around us. Lights started to dim and the wide screen before us rolled the introductions.

"Ain't that the girl from stranger things?" someone asked in the room

"No!" Josie yelled back, my neck snapped in her direction to see her smirking

"But- they look so simila-"

"Eleven didn't have hair!"

"But that's season on-"

"I said no!"

"Fine!"

"What the hell did I just witness" I laughed, my hands found the buttery popcorn, balling a few in my fist before plopping it into my mouth. The crunch brought satisfaction to my lips as well as the hot melted butter

Suddenly, a warm hand was placed around me. I furrowed my brows and noticed Aquamarine had her hands around my shoulder

"What are you doing?" I questioned

"What? I need arm space" she pouted

I groaned and turned my focus back to the screen, somehow I could tell there was a smirk on the girl's face. I shrugged it off and continued focusing on the movie

"Come onnn, let me seee" I giggled

"Noooo" Aqua groaned from the bathroom

"You can't stay in there all night"

"Yes I can"

"You wouldn't dare"

"I'd sleep in this marble thingy!"

"You mean the tub?"

"Yes the tub!"

"Oh come on out, it's just clothes" I laughed

I may or may not have forced Aqua to model in some of my old clothes. She's shy to come out of the bathroom wearing the pikachu t shirt

"Promise you won't laugh?"

"I can't promise tha-"

"Then I'm staying in here!"

"Come on Aqua! Pleaseeeee" I pleaded. A silence fell upon us.

I guess she isn't coming out. I groaned and threw my body back on the bed. My back pressed flatly against the cotton sheets my arms were sprawled across the bed. My blonde hair covered my face, I huffed out a breath of air, causing the small stands of hair to fall aside

A small squeak came from the direction of the bathroom. My neck snapped upwards, the small light from the bathroom peeked into the room.

The door slowly opened, revealing Aqua in a tight blue shirt with pikachu and Ash's face on it. She had on jean shorts that looked like it was struggling to be on her and her hair was pulled into two buns. Not to forget the colourful ribbons and bands around her hair.

My lips folded inwards as I tired to held back my laughter. My fists clenched tightly as I tried to hard to not release the crazy hounds from my throat

"It's okay, you can lau-"

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA" I pounded my fists against the matrass to let out my adrenaline

"That, has got to be the saddest thing I've never seen oh my goddd"

"Yeah yeah, laugh it up" she hissed

"I need to take a picture of this, Josie and Elena will love it" I smirked

"Noooo, don't you dare!" she yelled, my arms reached out for my phone that was conveniently placed on the bed

My hands gripped the device and punched in a few patterns, the camera then appeared. I aimed it towards the new cosplayer

"Beverly. No!" she groaned and lounged towards me

I giggled uncontrollably as she ran towards me. The next thing I know, I was being pinned against the bed.

Aqua's hands gripped mine above my head as she secured her spot on my stomach. Her thighs were on each side of my waist. I swallowed a lump in my throat when she leaned closer, her hot breath brushed against my lips.

My entire body went weak, the phone slipped from my hands and fell somewhere. I was more focused on the girl on top of me and how my heart was pounding against it's chest. She smirked when the phone fell and turned her attention towards me.

Her piercing eyes sunk into mine, our lips were just inches from each other. A burning sensation pulled across my cheek.

The emotions I was feeling right now was nothing compared to what happened next.
