A week later things started to calm down. Taehyung started getting back to his normal schedule and his arm was still healing. Not totally healed of course but he was able to do some things. His arm wasn't too sensitive to touch now which was great, but he still didn't have good control of his arm. Still couldn't fully close his hand which sucked but the first session of physical therapy helped a lot. Now he didn't just have to sit and do nothing at home.
Well- squeezing a ball all day every hour he got was getting boring and it's only been the second day but! if it helped then Taehyung will squeeze this stupid ball all day long. Although he was told to take breaks but breaks weren't going to get his full function back. "And you're only going to the airport?" Taeho, Taehyung's father walked into the living room with Jungkook who came back with a plate of food for Taehyung and himself. "Airport and back here. I just want to say goodbye to a couple of friends." Jungkook explained to Taeho.
Taeho got a little... protective over Taehyung after he got home from the hospital which they both understood but sometimes Taehyung had to remind Taeho that he was still a full-grown adult and that's when Taeho backed off, for the time being until he got too worried again. Taehyung always had the right things to say to his father to make him calm down though. "I'll text you when we arrive and leave the airport if that makes you feel better." Taehyung grabbed the plate from Jungkook who sat next to Taehyung.
"Yes, please. That would make me feel better." Taeho stood by the entrance as he then grabbed his jacket. "I'll be working late tonight. I prepped the food you can cook for tonight and if you decide to order out, the card is in the cupboard underneath the plates." Taeho informed Taehyung who wondered why his father's card was under the plates but he didn't get to question him since Taeho was already out of the door since he was already late.
"You could have been leaving today." Taehyung looked at Jungkook who breathed in and nodded. "Could have," Jungkook repeated as he grabbed the fork and started eating. "But I'd rather be here with you. America isn't going anywhere anyway." Jungkook scooped potatoes onto his fork and fed it to Taehyung who chuckled. "I'm not a baby Jungkook." Taehyung licked his lip from the leftover potato. "You're my baby." Jungkook scoffed.

"Eat ass Jungko-" And before Taehyung could finish, Jungkook spoke, "Your ass? Sure." Jungkook put his plate down which made Taehyung push Jungkook away. "What?! You said eat-" He stopped talking when Taehyung placed his hand over his mouth. "I said eat ass! Not my ass pervert!" Taehyung spoke over Jungkook who looked disappointed. "You're the baby." Taehyung finished off and let go of Jungkook who huffed and looked away to eat his food.
Stepping out of the cab, Jungkook held the door open for Taehyung who smiled at Jungkook and stepped out before Jungkook grabbed his hand and was guiding the way inside. Taehyung checking his phone time as he stayed close to Jungkook. Walking for a little while before Jungkook saw Yoongi. Not only did he see Yoongi though, he saw the whole gang which was surprising. "You're... all here?" Jungkook looked a bit suspicious of the whole get together. "I invited Namjoon and Hoseok wanted to say his goodbyes too." Seokjin looked at Jungkook.
Jimin then suddenly got into the little circle that formed. "Our flight got pushed back another hour so you're lucky. We could have been on the flight by now." Jimin blinked several times. "Oh right! Taehyung!" Jimin quickly approached Taehyung who looked a little confused. "I'm Park Jimin. I worked... work? With Jungkook. I've heard... a lot about you." Jimin smiled although he gave Jungkook a certain look before laughing a bit. "Take care of that big baby okay?" Jimin held out his hand to shake Taehyung's hand in which Taehyung let go of Jungkook's hand to do so.
"Oh forsure. It beats him crying for me in America right?" Taehyung suddenly brought up which made Jungkook scoff and Jimin laugh. "Exactly!" He chuckled and brought Taehyung down onto a seat to keep talking to him. Suddenly loving the conversation he sparked up with Taehyung who didn't mind one bit as he got to know Park Jimin a little more. Jungkook gulped but he decided he should clear that up later on as he approached Yoongi who was looking at the papers he was leaving behind for Jungkook.
"These are the works you sent in before you came to Seoul. I corrected some mistakes you made but I also have suggestions in the book about certain lyrics. I didn't change much though. You made the songs good. I liked them and so did Hoseok." Yoongi mentioned Hoseok who was talking to Seokjin but when Yoongi said his name, he changed his attention to Yoongi. "What? Oh... yes! I have a few suggestions myself but we'll work on that Monday." Hoseok smiled.

Nodding, Jungkook took in a deep breath and smiled at the two. "Thank you... guys again. This is honestly the best it could get for me right now and-" Jungkook shrugged and then looked at Yoongi who had a small smile. "Thank you Yoongi. For everything. From the moment I got to Deagu you took me under your wing. You saved me if anything." Jungkook breathed out and looked at the book Yoongi gave him. "I saved you?" Yoongi scoffed but he looked proud of that. "... You saved yourself Jungkook. I was just there to support you along the way. I still am, so don't self sabotage yourself. Besides, you'll be happy here. I just know it." Yoongi motioned to Taehyung.
Looking at Taehyung who was in a fit of giggles with Jimin, he smiled to himself. This was the moment Jungkook longed for. To be happy and just stay that way. Being with Taehyung made him happy. Being able to write and produce songs with Yoongi made him happy. Being with his new friends made him happy. "Okay, alright." Namjoon hurried into the little broken circle with a bag of food he had to rush to get. "For the road, and for the memories." Namjoon put the bag down and pulled out containers containing different foods for everyone.
"Where'd you get this?" Hoseok asked while grabbing one of the containers. "Seokjin ordered before we got here. Then sent me on a chase to go find the food." Namjoon sighed as he then sat down. "... I didn't even notice Namjoon was gone." Taehyung suddenly brougt up. "Taehyung's not getting food." Namjoon got up from his seat and grabbed Taehyung's half. "Hey!" Taehyung stood up and before he could appraoch Namjoon, Jungkook pushed Taehyung back down onto the seat and gave Taehyung his share.
"Ew... you guys are so cute." Jimin hissed and looked away. A small laugh coming from Hoseok who offered Jimin a container in which he took and opened up right away. With that everyone took a seat and opened up their containers. "Mm, not hungry." Jungkook declined the food Taehyung tried to feed him but when Taehyung pouted he couldn't say no as he opened his mouth and took a bite. "Happy?" Jungkook said while chewing but he hid his mouth behind his hand.
Nodding, Taehyung smiled and took a bite of the food too. It was a great time with everyone involved. Taehyung opened up to new friends and so did Jungkook. They all talked, shared some laughs and before they knew it, their flight was being called. "Well." Yoongi stood up with Jimin who nodded and looked at everyone. "That's our call." Jimin finished which made everyone stand, even Taehyung who rushed to finish his food. "Don't forget about me when you become famous." Seokjin hugged Yoongi who kind of just stood there and awkwardly patted Jin's back.
"God you're awkward." Hoseok rolled his eyes but laughed when Yoongi pushed him aside. "Just for that I'm forgetting all of you when I become famous." Yoongi joked. After saying their goodbyes, they watched Yoongi and Jimin leave until eventually they couldn't see the two anymore. Hoseok the first to huff out. "And I hope America treats them well." Hoseok hummed and nodded at his own words. "And I hope Seoul treats you better than before, Jungkook." The sudden words caught Jungkook off guard but he couldn't help but smile. "I know it will." Jungkook hummed as he took a look around him. This time he would be happy, he just knows it.

The catastrophe arrived, the great war of the alliance against the abominable race which they called Epivious commenced. The war lasted for many years, countless lives were taken. Toothpick
“Hello! My humble audience! I, the Bard of the North, am going to tell you a tale. Nothing new, nothing old. A story of a hero, some may say, others a poor boy who was hated by the world.” The storyteller paused as he waited, right timing was everything when telling a story. Pacing… Too slow and the audience became bored then left without tossing even the smallest of coins. If he spoke too fast and rushed the story. It would leave the audience confused and having no reason to be impressed. So like any good storyteller, the Bard has to do a balancing act of sorts. Not too slow, not too fast. Just perfectly in the middle. “In a shattered country in the south, a novice princeling has the ambition to mend a torn tapestry that is his birthplace. Struggling to fend off those who would usurp the throne in an unending civil war spanning centuries. A mercenary that left only death in his wake, unable to stave off the monotony and peace of life. He looks back at the path laden with bodies, wondering if it was all worth it. Wandering souls summoned by a madman, travel away from a wasteland in a foreign land, the first alone, the others as companions. A deity, ancient in her years, waiting to be freed from a duty she no longer enjoys. For all these people and their stories, none are the hero of this tale. No, the hero is not grand, not wise, not ready.. he was punished for nothing of his doing, who was an outcast that was unloved by many, including his father.” This was always the big reveal novices use to jump off into their story. He did not start here, instead, like any good fishermen, he set the bait and waited until the fish bit before pulling. As he saw the audience's eyes focus, he then started the backstory. The harness, that stopped the listeners from having metaphorical whiplash. The foreshadowing. “But that is not where the story starts. No, not even the hero's birth. Where the story begins, is the boredom of the deity, a deity many know of. She who hunts for the impossible, the guide for those who have lost the path, the Huntress of Mallon--” A small pause, a short breath. “--All old names for a single powerful being that has roamed the grounds of this continent longer than any line of kings or queens, lords or ladies. A being of worship for many an individual…” One last breath. And he began singing the first verse.
