《KATANA ~ a MHA fanfic》Chapter 45 - Cold

I slowly drew my katana out with my shaking hand. One last time, I thought. One last time of feeling this pain in my chest from having to do this. One last time of feeling the pain I've never felt before.
I had to close my eyes and calm down for a sec. I couldn't be a panting mess when sneaking in.
But of course, cause I'm the most luckiest girl in the world, someone had to come flying in and grabbed my body. A hand was on my mouth, keeping me quiet and not waking them up. The other kept me tight as I felt myself getting lifted up.
And suddenly, I was thrown onto the roof. I quickly rolled off the ground and held my katana out. But no one was there.
I pulled my hood back on since it flew off when I was in the air. Then I heard someone breathing behind me.
It's just like Anna described. How the knives stopped midair and someone whimpered...
I did exactly what Anna told me she did, and I got the same results. But instead of leaving it, I went to take one of the knives back. The other knife was in place but dropped down.
Hm. Invisibility.
I let the other knife be since it wasn't really my intention to kill anyone else but Deku. But since she was in my way, I couldn't just let her sneak around like that. Let it be a warning to the others planning on stopping me.
As I was thinking of a plan, I heard explosions nearby. I was usually pretty quick on coming up with what to do, but I've got so much else on my mind that I couldn't focus. I looked in front of me and saw a woman with black hair and red clothes, appearing out of nowhere. A man with a metal suit and helmet came running towards me with another young man with red hair and...

His skin... it's hardened?
I sighed and threw my katana to the ground, adjusted my clothes and looked him straight in the eye, copying his quirk.
So when they hit me, it had no damage on me.
"That's a nice quirk you've got there. I think I might use it." I said smugly and proceeded to kick him in the gut.
"Red Riot! Are you alright?" the young woman called out.
"Yeah, I've got this!" he said and stood back up, aiming to punch me. The metal suit hero was right behind.
I activated my white lightning and ran in circles around them. But for some reason, they stopped coming after me then. I took the chance to shoot out as many lightning bolts as I could to hit them all.
That was fun...
The only person who got hit was the red haired one. The woman had created a cloth of some kind and the other one simply out ran it.
Hm. I need to take out the woman first, she's the bigger threat.
I landed back on the ground and activated both the hardening and lightning quirks, running at full speed towards her. A shield appeared out of her arm but I punched right through it, making her fly back and knock out.
"Creati!"
The hardening quirk disappeared and now it was only me and that fast one.
"Don't worry, she isn't dead..." I said and pulled my mask down slightly to breathe.
I don't think I can outrun him. What to do what to do...
Suddenly I felt something wrap around my torso and arms. But it wasn't the familiar scarves, no. It was sticky.
Don't tell me I'm seriously wrapped up in tape right now...
The person responsible emerged from the shadows with tape coming out of his elbows. Behind him was a short young woman with a pink skinned one next to her.
In every direction I looked at, were more and more pros appearing. It surprised me how easy it was for them to get on the rooftop. Is this just normal to them?

And then another young woman, green hair and big dark eyes, hopped carefully towards me.
No... I'm not defeated. No way.
"Give it up, there's no need for unnecessary-" she started but I interrupted her by a swipe on her legs, making her face hit the ground.
I used a bit of lightning to melt the tape off and went straight to hit the source. He was quick on his moves, but he was looking out for himself right now. I could use that to my advantage and take the others down instead.
I put my hands on the ground and used it to guide the lightning through it, electrocuting them both. But then I felt something wrap my torso again, lifting me high up in the air. I followed the source and it was that dark eyed ones...
Tounge?
I couldn't get out, and it especially didn't help when the other one used his tape on me again. They kept talking to the others and to each other but I didn't hear a damn word. I was too focused on the situation at hand to notice.
The fast pro from before ran to pick me up after I was slammed down. No quirk could help me now. When he noticed I wasn't fighting back, he put me down and took a breather.
"Where are the others? And call for a rescue team!" he commanded after taking his helmet off.
My head was hurting like crazy and my whole body felt sore. I opened one of my eyes to see that they've all let their guard down.
If my quirk's been used to bring someone back to life, why can't I use it to heal myself? Even temporary...
I tested out my theory by activating my quirk again. But instead of it going out, it went in. Flowed through my body to heal myself and boost me up. Bought me some time.
And a little more time was all I needed.
I noticed my katana was just an arms length away and felt my energy get back up. Adrenaline was pumping through my veins and I grabbed it, aiming right at his throat.
His agonising scream was heard by anyone nearby. His blood dripped down the blade and down to the ground, right next to where his body was now laying.
"INGENIUM!"
"So sorry for your loss..." I said and stood up, ripping off the rest of my already ripped sleeves.
The horrified look on their faces was all I needed to see for me to know that there was no way they could keep up with me now.
The white lightning surrounded my whole body as I ran at full speed towards them, slicing each pro one by one. All by their throats so that they couldn't fight back.
I panted and pulled down my mask and hood to breathe better. Their blood had splashed all over my clothes, I mean, that's what you get for killing so many people.
At last, no more heroes.
I took out my hair tie and took one last deep breath before doing what I came here to do.
But just as I took my first step forward, I took a step back again. The explosions from before were getting closer and closer by the second. And as I looked up, many, many people shot up to the sky then landed in front of me.
The three up front, I recognised right away.
But everyone went quiet when I tilted my head up, my eyes as cold as the bodies around them.
"Wh- I don't understand?" the purple haired one spoke.
Shit. My mask isn't on... Oh, well. No point in hiding now.
"Stand in my way, and you'll end up like them."

In need of a synopsis. Quick rundown, however, would be that this contains supernatural creatures, assassins and a boy who was turned into a vampire. P.s. So, please, I'm really begging here, don't tell me that it's full of cliches, I A L R E A D Y know.

At The Lions Gate
In the 20th century America reinvented itself. Devastated by depression, scarred by war, rocked by a revolution, Americans banded together to preserve their country and their freedom. They had faith in themselves, faith in one another, and for those who believed…faith in God. This novel tells the story of one American who lived through those turbulent years….years that would test his character and the character of a nation. For Josh Sanders it begins in 1935. A star athlete in school, pro football is a ticket out of poverty during the Great Depression; but when his father, a WWI veteran, is killed during a robbery, Josh’s spirit is broken, and with it his boyhood dream. To honor his father Josh joins the war effort in 1942, distinguishing himself as a fighter pilot, until a fateful decision near the end of the war changes the course of his life once again. But many years later, after a stint as a boxer and a failed marriage, Josh finds his calling…at a time when the country is at war with itself. The year is 1968. King and Kennedy have been killed, race riots are breaking out, and Vietnam has become an albatross, causing massive protests across the country. In the streets of San Francisco Josh watches a crowd of students march for peace. As a veteran he’s conflicted, toward the war and those who oppose it. But when he encounters Rosy Goldin, a spirited young protester in need of help, a voice from the past calls him to action. His good intentions are soon tested when Rosy falls in love with the fugitive anti-war activist Erick White, a young man determined to oppose the war at all costs, against the wishes of his own father. Fearful of what happens to Rosy, Josh confronts Erick, unwilling to be part of his plan to escape…until he meets the boy’s father. A high-powered criminal attorney, Karl White is also a flag-waving patriot demanding that his son follow the law. But as White makes his case Josh is jolted by a painful war-time memory, a crisis of conscience that will soon determine the fate of Rosy Goldin and Erick White.
