"Oh no, you don't. Kim Donghyun, you are not taking him anywhere, you little bastard!"

Mr. Kim looked up instantly, a glint of panic flickering momentarily in his dark eyes as he halted in his steps which would've led him to his expensive car soon.

He stood tall, glaring and snarling.

"What do you want from me, Jeon Jieun?!" A beautiful woman just about his age made her way towards him while taking huge steps, her face showing nothing but pure rage. Taehyung couldn't help but get reminded of angry Jungkook snapping at Jackson.

He just gaped at her in shock, his sadness forgotten as he was too preoccupied watching the scene in front of him unfold. Not once had he seen Jungkook's mother look so angry, not even when Jungkook had accidentally knocked over a porcellain plate with her homemade steak in front of all his relatives once.

"You--! You let him go, right now!" She now stood in front of him, her arms crossed in front of her chest as she stared him down with the deadliest glare she could muster.

"I'm his parent, not you! Get out of my way, woman, he has a flight to catch! Mind your own business and stop pestering me!" He pushed his way past her and wanted to keep walking but failed to do so as Mrs. Jeon pushed him back, much harder.

"Kang Haena," she just spoke, much calmer than before but extremely clearly. And as if she had just spoken a magic incantation, Taehyung's father froze and stopped all his movements, his eyes so wide they were almost bulging out of its sockets.

"You... You will not say anything!," he exclaimed, just staring at the ground with his quite frightening stare and his jaw slightly clenching.

"Mom, what is this? You know each other? And who is Kang Haena?," Jungkook asked, positioning himself beside Taehyung and his mother, who had let go of him and also watched the pair with curiosity.

For the first time in his life, Taehyung did not pay any attention to him.

"Wait, Kang Haena? That's my aunt's name! You knew her?," Yoongi spoke all of a sudden, now standing beside them aswell with a quizzical look on his face. Mrs. Jeon and Mr. Kim gaped at him, their jaws almost hitting the floor.

"Y-You're her nephew? Have you ever seen her? Did you ever talk to her?" The boy shook his head, now looking even more confused.

"No, mom just told me about her. Why, what happened to her? What does she have to do with you?"

"Will someone please tell us what's going on?," Jungkook asked quietly, looking at his mother in utter confusion.

Mrs. Jeon sighed, taking a deep breath and still glaring at Taehyung's father.

"Taehyung," she spoke, the blonde flinching a bit as he heard his own name being mentioned.

"Do you remember that story I told you when you came out to me?" He could do nothing but nod hastily.

"I think it's time for me to tell you how that story ended. Because there are a few things I forgot to mention. Let's just say, I didn't even want to remember them." She glared at Mr. Kim one last time before averting her gaze to Jungkook, Yoongi, Taehyung and his mother standing there with confused looks on their faces. She didn't even see Jimin, Yoonji, Chaeyoung and Lisa standing on the other side of the place, looking just as confused.

"My dearest high school friend... Kang Haena. She was such a beautiful human being. A heart of pure gold, a mind full of creativity and a delicate soul. We all loved her lots, me and my friends, she was like our little sister. Until he ruined her life." She pointed her finger towards Taehyung's dad who stood frozen in the same spot he had before.

All of a sudden, she rummaged inside her handbag, pulling out a stack of papers. And all of a sudden, Mr. Kim gasped. "No... You wouldn't dare--"

"Yes, I would!," she exclaimed, shutting him up at once.

"Restraining orders," she answered to all the question marks evident on their faces.

"Blackmailing letters, pay rises... It's all in here. I regret keeping this secret for so long, I should've told you as soon as I knew about you, Taehyungie," she spoke remorsefully.

"So, remember that girl she was in love with? Her tutor? They were a couple eventually, but they kept it a secret. Only me and a few other friends knew about them. Until your trashy devil of a father found out. Her secret admirer. Or... infatuated stalker would make the point, really."

Everyone gasped.

"He literally followed her around everywhere, without her knowing. You see, Haena and her girlfriend, her name was Narae, always sneaked away into the janitor's closet when it was break time, to have some alone time. Your disgusting shit pile of a father? Saw them, of course. Guess what he did?"

-

As he walked closer and closer towards the janitor's closet, he perked his ears in suspicion.

This was the third time the girl he loved had walked inside that closet with her strange friend. What the hell could they be doing inside there?

He leaned his ear against the door knob, trying to sense some sort of noise. And then, he heard it.

He heard strange noises. He widened his eyes. They sounded like kissing noises! But it couldn't be, right?

"Wait, stop. Did you hear that? I think someone's at the door," he heard someone whisper hushed, his lips subconsciously smiling as he recognized the voice of the girl he loved. The strange noises had stopped.

"But no one ever comes here! Should we lock the door? But there's no key...," another voice spoke, a voice he found unpleasant. That voice belonged to none other than Jung Narae, a girl who always acted rudely towards him, despite him never doing anything. He did not like her at all.

He took this opportunity to open the door and check the situation, highly confused as he saw two girls simply sitting on a little bench in the dim-lit, tiny room, textbooks on their laps and looking extremely shocked as they saw him.

"What the hell are you doing in here?," he asked loudly.

"What the hell are you doing in here? Are you still spying on her, creep? One more time and I'm killing you for real, I swear!," Narae exclaimed, him rolling his eyes at that. That girl was so annoying! He was just simply observing her, and he had the right to do so. They loved each other!

He should have seen it then. But he didn't. The messy hair, the very swollen lips, the slightly unbuttoned blouses and wrinkly skirts. He didn't suspect a thing and just left, thinking the two girls were crazy for studying inside a janitor's closet. Wasn't the library privacy enough?

The next day, he saw his beloved girl sneak into the janitor's closet with her friend Jung Narae again. But this time, they didn't have any books on them. They seemed rushed, like it was an emergency. It was really hard for him to catch up with them. The fact that they turned around their heads every five seconds as if they were worried about someone seeing them didn't help him either.

Making absolutely no sounds, he leaned his ear against the keyhole again, hearing a quiet conversation:

"What did you want to show me, NaNa?" As he sensed the voice of the girl he loved again, he smiled again.

All of a sudden, a gasp could be heard.

"Oh my god! Are you proposing to me? In a janitor's closet? But we're high school students! You know I would say yes but isn't it a bit early?" He furrowed his eyebrows. Propose? What the hell was going on?!

A chuckle could be heard, this time from the girl he hated.

"No, not yet. Those are promise rings. I just found them so pretty and-- I couldn't resist and bought them. I hope you don't think this is stupid or anythi--" All of a sudden, her voice got cut off. He furrowed his eyebrows even more. And then, he heard them again. The highly suspicious sounds. And suddenly, he just knew. They were kissing sounds!

Feeling his whole world crash, he barged inside again, his vision dotted with a deep red.

"You-- You..." He pointed towards the two mortified girls he had just caught in the middle of a passionate kiss, the tone of his voice aggressive. The two of them immediately climbed off each other, Haena standing in front of him with her hands raised in defense.

"I can handle this. Go back to class, NaNa."

"Are you crazy? I'm not leaving you alone with this lunatic!," the other girl immediately protested.

"Yes, you will, Jung Narae! I'll be fine, don't worry and tell the others what happened," Haena insisted with a gaze so pleading it made Narae comply reluctantly after a few more tries.

"Wh-What--," he stuttered as soon as she had left the room. The girl sighed in frustration, pulling her silk-like blonde hair.

"Please don't tell anyone."

"Don't... Don't worry. We can find help for you!," he spoke, disregarding her earlier words.

"What do you mean? I'm fine, I don't need any help," she spoke in confusion.

"That girl... She's trying to destroy you. By making you commit sin. But don't worry, I'll help you. We belong together, that she-devil can't tear us apart." She took a step back in shock.

"There's nothing wrong with me. We're in love. And I already told you, I don't like you back!"

"A woman could never be in love with another woman! You're talking nonsense, she brainwashed you into insanity, that demon... But don't worry. I'll erase her. I'll make you remember who you really love." He walked a step towards her and tried to touch her face, only to have his hand slapped away instantly.

"Get away from me, Kim!," she screamed. But of course, he couldn't give up just there.

-

"This isn't where he stopped. He exposed them to Haena's parents, the worst sort of radical religious people there were. And he kept stalking her, harassing her, he even tried to touch her. Many times, we couldn't ever leave her out of our eyes because we wanted her to be safe. But obviously, that wasn't enough. That's how she filed a restraining order." Mrs. Jeon now turned towards her son.

"Remember when you treated Taehyung's bruises and you didn't believe me I had experience? After that disgusting con-artist exposed her to her parents, I-I was the one who had to..." For a moment, she looked like she was about to faint, her son rushing to her aid immediately.

"Thank you, Kook, I'm fine. But that's not where it stops. He blackmailed her girlfriend's parents to send their daughter away, for a pay raise or they would get fired. His father was the CEO of the company, of course they obliged. He even blackmailed me to keep my mouth shut or my father would've lost his job too. And we barely had money back then..." She gripped the papers again.

"So much messed up stuff because of just one messed up person. But I've gathered all the evidence now. So many years I've kept quiet, trying to move on and forget about it. But then I realized he had a son, a son that deserved protection. All those blackmail letters, he tried so hard to hide them. Because he knew they could get him to court and ruin his reputation."

Mr. Kim suddenly interfered: "It's all in the past. I was a teenager--"

"No, you were not!," she yelled. "You were eighteen years old! The only reason I didn't throw you into prison then was because you tried to commit suicide after Haena disappeared! But you know what? I could now." She looked at him with a dark glare, making everyone around shudder.

"I can't go to jail for something I did thirty years ago!"

"But your reputation can be ruined. Imagine I showed this to everyone at your company, you'd get fired and you would never get hired anywhere, not even as a damn cleaner." She now slightly lowered her voice.

"So I'm making this easy for you. You're not doing anyone any good with your presence and you need to face the consequences. For the love of god, please leave. Drive to the airport, use the plane ticket and go to America, never come back. Haena disappeared because of you, if you feel the slightest bit of remorse for that, turn around and drive away. Don't contact your family, divorce your poor wife. And don't even set foot inside this country again, seeing you pains me to death."

For a few seconds, there was silence.

And then, for the first time in his life, Kim Donghyun dropped his pride.

He turned around and walked slow steps towards his car, not even looking back once and not a single word leaving his mouth.
