"Are you crazy, Chae?"

A brunette girl stood by her locker with her arms crossed in front of her chest, a clearly frustrated expression on her face.

"What?," the strawberry blonde girl countered, checking her appearance in her small pocket mirror. Her hair was completely loose today, flowing down her back in a graceful manner.

"I saw you with Kim Taehyung yesterday! It looked like you were... hanging out," the brunette spoke quite distastefully.

"Yeah, because we were, Jen. We hang out a lot, actually." Chaeyoung sighed internally, bracing herself for what was about to come and focusing her gaze on her little pocket mirror.

"Wha-- Chae! You hang out with him? But he's... you know! He will never like you that way and you know that!," Jennie exclaimed, gasping at her friend.

The younger girl grinded her teeth against each other, feeling her patience run low.

"He's my friend. I know he doesn't like me that way and honestly, who cares? He's a great friend, and not to mention, a great listener." She tore her gaze off her mirror for a second, glancing at the other girl.

He's a great listener and I trust him, unlike you guys. No offense, though, she thought.

"Chae, we're just worried about what will happen to you. You know what happens in the movies- you fall for him and you will end up heartbroken! That's not what we were implying when we suggested you to get a boyfriend," Jisoo butted in, making the strawberry blonde girl roll her eyes quite visibly.

Sighing, she pulled her lipgloss out of her pocket and applied it on her lips, focusing on her pocket mirror again.

"No need to worry, then. I like him as a friend and it'll stay that way. Boys and girls can be friends, you know?," she slightly snapped as soon as she was done.

Immediately, the two girls protested in unison:

"What?! No, they can not!"

Lisa, who had not partaken in the conversation up until now, observed the girls with her left eyebrow raised, deciding not to say anything. And for once, she was the least of Chaeyoung's problems.

"Why would you befriend him anyways? He's a bit... weird," Jisoo mumbled quietly, almost inaudibly.

However, the strawberry blonde had heard perfectly clearly and snapped her pocket mirror shut with a sharp sound, making both Jisoo and Jennie flinch slightly.

"Why? Because he's gay and has a boyfriend? There's nothing wrong with the way he is and he's the sweetest person ever! Can't you guys be supportive? If one of your friends was a lesbian, would you shut her down like that, too?," she snapped, not missing the way a quiet 'Yes?' came from Jennie.

Sighing again, the strawberry blonde smacked her lips against each other and pushed the pocket mirror into her bag and zipped it close.

"Whatever. I think I need to use the ladies room. Excuse me for a moment, please," she spoke purposefully calmly, forcing a smile before turning around and walking away.

Feeling utterly frustrated, she needed some fresh air to calm herself down. She couldn't risk accidentally lashing out on her friends since that could lead to unintended self-exposure which would definetely lead to her life becoming a living hell.

And she did not want that.

So she stuck to her better option- keeping quiet and not being suspicious.

As if that were easy.

The strawberry blonde was about to open the school building's door when all of a sudden, she felt a grip around her wrist, holding her back.

As she turned her head around to see who it was, her eyes widened and her heart started beating faster.

"L-Lisa?"

Said girl smiled sheepishly, still not letting go of her. Her eyes spoke nothing but compassion.

"I'm sorry, Chae."

"Sorry about what?," Chaeyoung asked quietly, her gaze fixed on her wrist still held by the other girl and her cheeks dusted slightly pink.

"About Jisoo and Jennie. I know they can be a bit... judgy at times. And I guess there are a lot of things they don't understand." Finally, Lisa let go of the other girl's wrist which made her look up, resulting in them accidentally locking eyes.

"Um, I support your friendship with Taehyung fully and I don't care who you're friends with actually, it'd be kinda stupid if I did." She laughed nervously.

"He actually seems cool and I'm sure you guys make a good team."

At that, Chaeyoung smiled brightly, her heart beating even faster than before.

"So you don't mind? You know, him being...," she asked carefully, trying to find the right words.

"Gay? No, I don't. It's not like it's any of my business, anyways. I'm glad that he can be himself and he found the right person. And honestly, the people here suck. It's really shit to judge people by who they like, really." The silver-haired girl returned the smile sweetly.

"Y-Yeah, that's true. I'm glad you're supportive, Lisa. Thank you."

Chaeyoung gasped as she felt the other girl's hand in her hair, combing through it gently.

"No need to thank me, I'm just being a decent human being. By the way, I really like your hair today."

Thanking her again shyly, the strawberry blonde hoped Lisa wouldn't see the very prominent blush decorating her eyes, not daring to look into her eyes again.

"Dude, that's like, totally sweet. What if she likes you too?," a blonde boy asked excitedly, sitting against the wall with his legs draped over each other.

"Too good to be true. Life isn't a fairytale and I had to accept that a long time ago already," the strawberry blonde girl sitting next to him sighed, her legs also draped over each other.

"Hey, who knows? I didn't even dare to dream of Jungkook ever liking me back but look where we are now. True love always finds its way," Taehyung spoke wisely.

"Yeah, yeah. Whatever." The female sighed, not wanting to get her hopes up and therefore trying not to overthink.

"Anyways, why exactly are we sitting in the music room right now?" The boy cocked an eyebrow, looking at her in an expecting manner.

"Umm, I'm just a bit uncomfortable? Jisoo and Jennie found out we're friends and they were being a bit annoying about it, and not really supportive. Sorry." She grinned sheepishly.

"Oh no, it's cool and I understand completely. Besides, I think this room has such a comforting vibe. The piano, the band instruments, the empty desks. I like it here, if only I could play an instrument. That'd be amazing." He sighed dreamily, looking around the room in awe.

(A/N: fun fact, for this i'm imagining the music room in our school, i hate my school to death but our music room is probably one of the most comfortable places to be in ever, but maybe that's just me because i love music :D)

"True. The piano looks so lonely, it makes me wanna sit and play on it." She smiled, looking at the instrument standing a few feet away from them.

"By the way, did you finally tell Jungkook?" Taehyung nodded happily.

"Yes, we talked. Honestly, I'm so relieved. I feel way better now that he knows, now the only problem is the fact that I'll have to go." He sighed but then played it off with a smile.

"But happy thoughts for now. Just happy thoughts."

"I don't want you to go," Chaeyoung sulked.

"Who's gonna be my amazing gay best friend when you're gone?"

"My dear Chaeyoungie, you will be your own gay best friend," the blonde spoke cutely, pinching her cheek playfully.

"I've been my own gay best friend for many, many years. Trust me, it's not fun." The aforementioned girl huffed.

"Yeah, duh. I've been through that too, man." Taehyung laughed softly.

And suddenly, a phone's notification sound broke the tension, both of them flinching at that slightly.

"Mine," Chaeyoung mumbled, fishing her phone out of her bag.

"You don't mute your phone before school? Very risky, my friend."

"Shut up, I just forgot this morning," she countered, unlocking her phone and checking her new message.

"Yeah, too busy dreaming of Lisa," Taehyung simpered teasingly.

"Stop embarrassing me, meanie." She pouted, rolling her eyes at the message.

"It's Jennie. She wants us to meet her now, probably some boy-problems again. See you later, Tae."

And with a short hug, the two of them said goodbye, Taehyung deciding to leave aswell.

But before he did, he heard something suspicious from the left side of the room. Something that sounded very much like a yawn.

A human yawn.

Shit, somebody was here all the time!

And we just basically exposed all our secrets, how fucking great.

Standing up, the boy walked over towards the desks standing by the left side of the room, feeling his heart sink as he saw someone hiding in the front row indeed.

"Who's there? Is it Jackson?! If you're spying on me, Jackson, I'm ending your pathetic ass! You little shit," he exclaimed, walking closer and closer and coming face to face with a very unknown face.

He gasped, suddenly taken aback.

"H-Hello?"

A young boy with cat-like eyes, overall quite soft features and raven hair stared back at him, clearly confused.

"What the hell. What are you doing here? And who even are you?" His voice sounded groggy, he had probably slept in here.

Taking a second look at Taehyung's mortified face, realization washed over him.

"Oh wait, I know you. You're Kim Taehyung, the gay dude with the boyfriend. You were really talked about last year, everyone talked about you." The blonde gave an awkward smile.

"I am indeed. And who are you, if I may ask?"

"My name's Min Yoongi. I'm a year under you, I should actually be calling you Sunbae." With a simple hand gesture, the older declined. He thought. The junior seemed familiar.

"Don't bother. But I feel like I've seen you before aswell."

"Yeah, maybe you saw me performing at that Christmas talent show last year, I played the piano and won third prize. I come here every break to practise, it's quiet and peaceful. Well, sometimes, I'm too tired and sleep instead. Like today."

Taehyung nodded quietly, now finally remembering. His eyes shined of admiration.

"Wow, I remember you. You were amazing, like a prodigy. You must be really passionate if you practise in school..." The young pianist shrugged.

"I am, but that's not why I practise in here. My parents don't want to pay for a grand piano. We have an electric one, it's okay but it's nowhere neal a real one. The pedals, the hardness of the keys, the sound... Playing on a grand piano, like in here, really shows what you have inside of you. Your emotions, your passions, your soul, just all of that," Yoongi rambled, the senior listening in awe.

"Woah, that sounds amazing. You really have a gift, I hope you can somehow persuade your parents to buy you a better piano. I'm sorry we intruded, by the way. How much did you hear?," Taehyung asked carefully.

"A lot, actually. You woke me up from my slumber when you started talking. So, your friend's gay too?" Quite shocked by how casual the younger seemed, the blonde bit his lower lip and nodded slightly.

"Yes. But she isn't out to anyone yet so please don't tell anyone, it could end really badly for her," he requested carefully, the other boy nodding immediately.

"Of course, I wasn't planning on it. I'm not that cruel of a person and I don't like talking to that many people, anyways. Besides, how someone identifies is their business and their business only, I don't really care about that stuff." At that, Taehyung smiled.

"Thank you, really. You're smarter than most people I've encountered." He could see Yoongi show a slight smile aswell.

"Let's be friends, Yoongi."

He reached out his hand for the other to shake.

Said other eyed his hand for a brief moment before hesitantly shaking it.

"I'll think about it... But probably yes."
