《《BFF》|| taekook ✔️》Chapter 41

The front door clicked an in walked a raven-haired boy with a serious expression on his face, dragging another boy behind him.
The second boy looked around him with an apprehensive glance, not knowing how to feel.
"I-I don't know if this is such a good idea, Jungkook. I don't even have any clothes. Or a toothbrush."
Jungkook halted in his step and turned around to face him sternly. "No backing out of this. I can borrow you clothes and a toothbrush and you know where to sleep, you've stayed at our place millions of times. By the way, don't be scared or anything. We all love you here and you're safe."
The older boy looked up at him while smiling, his heart fluttering at the kind words.
"Fine."
"Baby, you home already? Oh! Taehyung, what a pleasant surprise!" As if on cue, Mrs. Jeon rushed into the lobby and beamed at Taehyung, wondering why he suddenly visited their home.
"Mom, he's had a hard day. He should rest. Hey, do you mind if I explain it to her?," he asked softly, caressing Taehyung's shoulder soothingly, the latter shook his head shyly, not looking at anyone and staring at the floor.
"Okay, great. Go upstairs and relax, please. We'll check up on you."
After the blonde boy had disappeared, Jungkook turned towards his mother.
"So, umm... he's kind of in a situation..."
Mrs. Jeon frowned.
"I can see that very clearly. Was that a black eye? What in the world happened, Jungkook?," she whisper-shouted, not wanting to disturb the clearly distraught boy upstairs.
The ravenette sighed. "I-- Mom, it's so horrible. Someone sent his dad... a video, of him k-kissing that bastard. You r-remember me telling you, right? Well... h-his dad probably didn't take it very-- lightly?," he stammered, not being able to process these horrifying circumstances himself.
She gasped, her expression immediately changing. "Oh-- Oh my... Taehyung's father... did this?"
Her son inhaled shakily.
"Y-Yes. And it's even worse on... his body. A-And whoever sent him that video... pretended to be me."
"What?! Are you saying someone catfished you? But why? And how could Taehyung have been filmed?," she asked, extremely shocked.
This situation was so extremely messed up that she couldn't comprehend any words for it inside her head.
How could she help him and Taehyung? She didn't know.
"I... I don't know. And honestly, I don't want to know, either. I just want him to be okay, he's clearly suffering."
Seeing the exhausted expression on her son's face, Mrs. Jeon intertwined her fingers with his.
"Taehyung can stay as long as he wants. Don't you think we should call
child protection services?"
The ravenette shrugged. "I don't know... There's so much going on right now, when he's feeling better I will definetely ask him but for now, I think we should... let the situation cool down?"

The elder woman smiled and ruffled her son's hair. "Such a good and smart son I have, I'm proud. Do you plan on confessing to Taehyung soon?"
He widened this eyes and stumbled back in shock.
"What?! Mom, no! I can't. Even under better circumstances, I don't think I could!," he exclaimed.
"But you should! Hiding your feelings is never good and even though it's hard, I say you should tell him when you're ready and when he's recovered. Man up, son." She giggled and hit his shoulder in a playful manner.
"And what if I don't want to man up? You always told me what a great friend he was and now you want me to tell him I have feelings for him? This is confusing," Jungkook whined.
"I know it is, I can only imagine. Oh, high school drama, how exciting. I miss it. But Jungkook, this is the moment! Next year will be your senior year and time goes by fast so I say now is the best time to confess to him. What have you got to lose anyways?," she asked softly, making him scoff.
"What have I got to lose? You mean, aside from my best friend who will probably be super creeped by me because I am madly in love with him?"
She smiled softly.
"Oh, Jungkookie. Taehyung's a sweet boy, don't be so worried. He will understand and who knows? Maybe he will feel the same after a while? And, I forgot to tell you something."
The ravenette raised his eyebrows.
"Huh?"
"Before he confessed to you, on your birthday. He seemed so nervous around you, it was kind of cute. He might've even had a small crush on you. Just-- please tell him soon, being courageous is one of the most important things in life."
Now she seemed serious.
He seemed nervous around me?
No, she must be mistaken. He probably was just uncomfortable because of remembering that fucker touching his butt. Oh, how I hate him.
And what, courageous? The most important thing in life? My ass.
"Yeah, or being dumb," he muttered quietly.
"What was that, Jungkook?," Mrs. Jeon asked purposefully loud.
"Nothing, nothing. Fine, I'll think about it. But if it goes all wrong, it's your fault, mom."
She smiled sweetly.
"Sure."
"I'm going to have to treat Taehyung's bruises soon, they look serious. So don't mind me disturbing you guys later." All of a sudden, Jungkook had an idea.
"No need, mom. I'll treat them."
She chuckled and hit his shoulder.
"I don't recall you ever treating a bruise, young man. It's nice to see you growing up."
"Okay, but it's not like you ever treated a bruise either, mother."

Mrs. Jeon's face suddenly darkened a bit, as if she suddenly remembered something very horrible.
"Oh, you'd be surprised," she said quietly, remembering something very horrible indeed.
"The medical supplies are in the top shelf of the bathroom, can't miss them. And please, do some research before you treat his bruises."

"Taehyung?"
A knock could be heard.
The door opened and a raven-haired boy's head could be seen through it.
Without hesitation, he entered the room as carefully as possible.
"Hey, Tae. How're you feeling?," he asked softly, seeing the older lying in bed, wrapped in a few blankets.
"Better, actually. Thanks... for letting me stay," Taehyung mumbled, pulling the blankets even closer to his body so he felt secure.
Suddenly, Jungkook had the urge to jump him and cuddle him.
But of course he didn't.
Instead, he walked towards him and sat himself onto the edge of his bed.
"Of course, as if I would ever let you go back." He winked.
"I have some cream and ice for you, it'll help with the bruises."
As he saw Taehyung stare up at him wide-eyed, he laughed.
"You're gonna have to sit up for that one, and remove the blankets for a sec."
Protesting silently, the older boy forced himself to sit up and removed the blankets covering his upper body.
After thanking him, the ravenette smudged a bit of cream onto his index finger and moved his hands towards Taehyung's head. At first, the latter flinched back a little bit but after reassuring himself that this was just Jeon Jungkook trying to help him, he immediately calmed down and removed the fringe from his eye for better access.
For this, Jungkook had to move a bit closer towards his face which made both of them blush immensely and both of their heartrates increase excessively.
Jungkook could feel his hands shaking as he applied the cream on the other boy's face, why did he always have to be so nervous?
When the cream was applied, he squeezed the tube again, this time for his shoulder.
"U-Umm... could you maybe... your shirt...," he stammered, feeling the red creeping up his neck. Luckily, Taehyung got the hint and exposed his shoulder from the oversized, luckily loose sweater he had borrowed from Jungkook's closet.
Running his finger across the bruises on Taehyung's shoulder and feeling him shudder under his touch, the ravenette couldn't help but feel a certain way. This act felt oddly intimate and the tension was extremely thick, despite this situation being nothing but simply treating some injuries.
Wow. He has nice collarbones. And nice shoulders...
Now it was time for the bruises on his stomach.
"Umm... You can lie down for this one..." Complying, Taehyung laid back and lifted his shirt to expose the pretty serious bruises.
Jungkook felt a bit uneasy by seeing them, they looked so horrible and painful that he just wanted to cry.
Squeezing the almost empty tube one last time, he saw the blonde tilting his head towards him so he could watch him treat the injuries.
Now he felt even more nervous.
Do you really have to look at me like that when I'm literally dying over here?
Damn it Taehyung, you really got me feeling some type of way.
Just smiling it off, he knelt on the floor and smudged the leftover cream all over Taehyung's belly, the latter watching his every move.
Jungkook couldn't help but feel like a gynecologist preparing an ultrasound for a pregnant lady as he brushed his fingers over the older boy's belly carefully.
Except Taehyung obviously was not a pregnant lady. Just a boy he was in love with and whose injuries he was treating right now.
And now that he thought about it, he was pretty lucky.
Being so close to him, being able to take care of him, being able to do something nice for him... it felt good.
When he was finally done, he felt his cheeks burning in a very prominent shade of red and just hoped the blonde wouldn't notice how nervous he was about this.
Little did he know, the blonde's cheeks were blushing just as much, not to mention the fact that both of their heartbeats were probably synchronizing each other by the immensely rapid pace they were pounding with.
"Umm... okay, so... I need to go down help my mom with dinner, it'll probably take like, an hour. If you want to join us, just send me a text message. We have enough to feed you aswell. A-And if your bruises start to hurt, use the ice pack. But you definetely need some rest so just settle down and relax. I hope you get better soon. Bye," the ravenette spoke nervously, grabbing his phone and draping the covers over Taehyung's body again, then leaving the room with an awkward wave.
He's so sweet, oh my god. Help me!
The blonde smiled like an idiot. This was probably one of the most painful moments of his life but of course, Jungkook made everything better. He always did.
And as he slowly closed his droopy eyes, he couldn't help but think that this very moment was just... perfect.
No negative emotions, no worries.
No fear.
Nothing but perfection.
Just, how long would that perfection last?
